We looked at the menu and ordered the Italian sausage and he offered us an alternative to the regular style one served with onions and peppers 'like everyone else.' He was going to spice it up with marinara, basil and fresh mozzarella. Once he got us hooked on it, he mentioned it was a dollar more; paying 10 bucks for a sausage is a little much but being kind of duped into it definitely put it a little over the top. The sausage, however, was good and the mozz was fresh. Pete himself smoothed things over by telling us that he'd give us one on the house when we came by later.
