We got one order of the Cayo fish tacos to share. Each order comes with two tacos. We chose a bench in the shade on the patio where some chickens were wandering around picking up bits of food dropped by the patrons. It was fun to watch them run in a group when one spotted something had fallen. Our tacos were ready quickly and after the first bite we immediately regretted not getting a table because they are a bit messy with all the delicious toppings. Oh well! I persevered and used a napkin to soak up the juice and the chickens took care of of the rest. I will never miss an opportunity to visit Garbo's when in Key West.

Once he got us hooked on it, he mentioned it was a dollar more; paying 10 bucks for a sausage is a little much but being kind of duped into it definitely put it a little over the top. The sausage, however, was good and the mozz was fresh. Pete himself smoothed things over by telling us that he'd give us one on the house when we came by later. She does everything the hard way, maybe the best practices way, and you can just taste the difference. From hand grinding excellent coffee to the way that she masterfully brews it, you'll just know. She uses environmentally friendly supplies and plant-based products and is even very personable with her customers. The stand is located right outside the Key West Aquarium, and they make the fritters fresh to order. They were very hot. There are several sauces to choose from. At the time, we had nothing to compare them to and thought they were pretty good. After trying conch fritters at a few other places, we realized these were just okay. There wasn't much conch in them, and they seemed to be mostly batter. Lots of great seafood options in Key West. Not a place that I would come back to.
