She wanted a cute cocktail with really good atmosphere, so I went to the Internet and found this place! It genuinely was so cute and amazing. We had an awesome conversation with the bartenders and they recommended our drinks for us. Since it was Christmas time most of the drinks Were holiday themed, which I've never seen before. We each had a few drinks, took some really cute pictures with the decor, and went back home to the hostel to catch up. It was a really solid night and I would recommend to anybody in the area.

Not us. Inside, it's pure island charm -- rustic tiki décor, laid back energy, and a munchie menu that's perfect for a quick bite. Football season meant TVs everywhere, plus a solo musician on stage (I don't need to hear the game to watch it; music soothes the beast). Enter Mira -- The Tiki Oracle. Bartender, manager, Key West historian, and all around gem. She switched a TV to our game without hesitation and put up with me talking her ear off like a true bartender therapist. We liked it so much we came back the next day, and the vibe was just as good -- friendly, accommodating, and exactly what you hope for in a KW spot. We even dragged the rest of our group over, and they immediately asked why we didn't start there. Tiki House is so Conch Republic vibed it just makes you feel good. There is a small bar with about 12 stools, a small lounge area with about 4 small seating nooks, and then a high top bench area that is along the wall. Service and set up of this place is not conducive to being able to attend to patrons. Could only order food if you were seated at the bar. We sat at the high tops and you had to go to the bar to get your drinks. Problem is that the bar has patrons sitting as well so you are hovering over them waiting for a drink. It was very uncomfortable to impose upon others to try to get a drink. I am sure they didn't appreciate the audience as they were eating as well. The bartenders were way too busy and overwhelmed. Not only are they serving the seated patrons and the 4 small nooks, they are also making drinks for the attached restaurant. There were a gazillion tickets coming out of the printer and servers standing on the other side of the window waiting. It's just not possible to serve everyone with just two bartenders. We waited about 10 minutes for service. The drinks were underwhelming for a speakeasy. Just your typical menu. What we ordered was okay. They just missed a great opportunity to create unique twists on classics or to have craft cocktails. Even the classics (which are perfect for a speakeasy) weren't that great. For a speakeasy, the drinks are the main event. Glad we tried it as we always seek out speakeasies. Wouldn't go again.
