The estimate indicated that they would clean and prepare the surface of the shutters prior to painting and then paint. When I went outside to observe the work, I noticed that he was not preparing the surface prior to painting but simply applying the paint over the dirty shutters. When questioned, he indicated that he was taking a microfiber cloth and wiping the shutters prior to painting? That was not cleaning the surface at all! I anticipate that we will have to repaint the shutters again in 3-4 years due to his poor quality of work. When I informed the office manager of the dissatisfaction, she did refund 50% of the cost as compensation. I will be reluctant to call them in the future but options seem to be limited in the area.

As a paying client who purchased four docks, I was disappointed with how the relationship was handled when a problem came up. One of the docks did not conform to the Duke Energy lake permit, which created a real problem for us and our buyer. We had forwarded the approved Duke permits the same day we received them, well before installation, and have the email records to show it. Despite that, resolving the issue turned into a frustrating back-and-forth, with the company declining to take responsibility for the discrepancy. I found the communication unprofessional and dismissive at a point where I expected a contractor to stand behind their work. I can't recommend them based on our experience. If you do work with them, get every permit, drawing, and conformance detail confirmed in writing before installation.

As an example we had storm damage to one of our docks and it was looking like we would have an expensive repair. Brandon found some left over roofing material and came out himself to install it. The actual repair cost was about 1/3 of the estimate. We currently live in a location with a lot of higher waves. Brandon has been out several; times to repair damage done by some really heavy boat traffic. I have literally had to ask him to send me a bill. He kept saying, "I'm not charging you until we get a solution that works." His crews did some serious reinforcing and charged me a price that I was thrilled with. We have a large dock, with two of their excellent heavy duty lifts, as well as two Touchless covers. I could not be more pleased with the setup. I firmly believe that Custom docks are the best on the lake, and I am convinced that the service they provide is second to none.
