I received a letter from my mortgage company in February 2026 informing me that my mortgage cost was rising due to the increase of my insurance premium. Which all had to do with the age of my roof (21yrs old). I knew then that I had to get the roof replaced. Well a couple of weeks later I get a call from Logan Stotler with a company called United Contracting & Roofing and he stated that he was working in my area and wanted to know if he could come by and do a free roof inspection and I was like sure why not. Well I must say upon completion of the roof inspection and going over the cost for replacing it, I just knew that this was the company to go with. The process from start to finish was smooth and I could tell that he was not trying to get over on me or one up me, he was truly genuine and he earned my trust. I was concerned about the fact that I had solar panels and was hoping that they would not be an issue and they were not an issue at all. As a matter of fact I needed another company to service my solar panels as the company that installed them has since gone out of business, so this worked in my favor. I was so pleased with Logan's knowledge and expertise in helping me throughout the process and he always and I do mean that he always was available to answer any questions or concerns that I had. The guys that removed and installed the roof was so professional and clean up was exceptional. They went all over the yard with magnets to pick up any nails that may have fallen outside of the tarp areas. All in all I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is in need of a roof replacement.

But when I met Tom, the timing couldn't have been better. We knew it was time and there was clearly hail damage. Tom was friendly, courteous, respectful of our time, and followed through with the things he said. He worked with us and our insurance company and made the entire process seamless. The process was so much easier than I thought it would be - all because we had Tom's help. The crew finished the work on our roof in a timely manner and they were all complete professionals. Matthew, the project manager, made sure he attended to all of the details. The crew worked diligently to protect our garden and outside equipment. They put a wooden box over my just bloomed iris and saved it, as well as a small Lenten rosebush. They also covered my husband's electric vehicle charger with a board. They did very fast and meticulous work, and when they cleaned up, they left our property better than they found it. They even offered to come back if we found any nails and do an additional sweep. (We did find some nails but very few in my estimation.) They covered everything with tarps and worked hard to clean up the property and leave it pristine. Everyone was friendly and they worked together as a team. It had been about four months since they completed our roof and it still looks wonderful! I can't recommend United Contracting and Roofing highly enough! In fact, I recommended them to a neighbor!

We also went with new gutters, new lights and a new front door. Their crew is amazing; they are fast and yet, they do not cut corners. Their work is top notch and very professional. There are so many added features that it really makes one appreciated their attention to detail. The siding is beautiful and we cannot say enough about what a good experience this has been. We have a brand new house without having to move. Replacing our old, faded and dented siding with new siding, has made us fall in love again with our home. It was a great investment.

We hired Custom Dock Systems to build four docks for homes in a lake community in South Carolina…read more(Duke Energy / Lake Keowee area). As a paying client who purchased four docks, I was disappointed with how the relationship was handled when a problem came up. One of the docks did not conform to the Duke Energy lake permit, which created a real problem for us and our buyer. We had forwarded the approved Duke permits the same day we received them, well before installation, and have the email records to show it. Despite that, resolving the issue turned into a frustrating back-and-forth, with the company declining to take responsibility for the discrepancy. I found the communication unprofessional and dismissive at a point where I expected a contractor to stand behind their work. I can't recommend them based on our experience. If you do work with them, get every permit, drawing, and conformance detail confirmed in writing before installation.

As an example we had storm damage to one of our docks and it was looking like we would have an expensive repair. Brandon found some left over roofing material and came out himself to install it. The actual repair cost was about 1/3 of the estimate. We currently live in a location with a lot of higher waves. Brandon has been out several; times to repair damage done by some really heavy boat traffic. I have literally had to ask him to send me a bill. He kept saying, "I'm not charging you until we get a solution that works." His crews did some serious reinforcing and charged me a price that I was thrilled with. We have a large dock, with two of their excellent heavy duty lifts, as well as two Touchless covers. I could not be more pleased with the setup. I firmly believe that Custom docks are the best on the lake, and I am convinced that the service they provide is second to none.

The estimate indicated that they would clean and prepare the surface of the shutters prior to painting and then paint. When I went outside to observe the work, I noticed that he was not preparing the surface prior to painting but simply applying the paint over the dirty shutters. When questioned, he indicated that he was taking a microfiber cloth and wiping the shutters prior to painting? That was not cleaning the surface at all! I anticipate that we will have to repaint the shutters again in 3-4 years due to his poor quality of work. When I informed the office manager of the dissatisfaction, she did refund 50% of the cost as compensation. I will be reluctant to call them in the future but options seem to be limited in the area.
