The chicken karhai was excellent, not as spicy as I am used to or like , but the rest of the spices were on point. You can tell it has been adapted to Midwestern palates. Still very flavorful however. The breakfast was delicious. The fry bread is flaky perfection. The pickled onions that get served with it pair perfectly with the channa, and the yogurt pairs perfectly with the aloo. Fair warning- the breakfast is only served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-4pm. The breakfast also comes with tea, but you have to serve yourself from the tea station -- this is to ensure that you get the perfect amount of whole milk to tea to water to sugar ratio that you want. You also have to pay for your ticket at the register when done. I noticed some of this self service is the reason behind several of the negative reviews on Google and that is a shame since they let you know this is the case -- too many Karens and Kevins in those reviews if you ask me. This is a great place with great food that is true to Pakistani tradition including less utensils than most Westerners are accustomed to as you are supposed to use your carbohydrates to eat your meal (either wadded up rice or Naan depending on dish). That being said, you do get spoons if you want to eat it non-traditionallly. The decor is fabulous and also extremely authentic. Everything reminds me of when some of my Pakistani colleagues in grad school would cook for me and I will be returning for the nostalgia alone, let alone the delicious food offering. Excited to try the goat korma next time!

A nice family run Pakistani Kabob place that is only open Friday through Sunday. Reasonably good interior in a rather quiet and unwelcome location (the parking lot is kind of deserted because the anchor shop is closed). Food is good. We moved in this area few months ago; tried this place and really liked it. The only downside is price is a bit up while portion size is getting smaller. Don't see the value for the money anymore. Probably try again.

This place is easy to miss! Snuggled in a corner of a dying strip mall in Manchester, Kababish is a wedding reception/dance venue that appears to moonlight as a Pakistani/Indian restaurant. I've never had Pakistani food before and thankfully my waiter suggested Chicken Karhai ($12.99) as his favorite meal to eat here. The chicken was moist, and mildly spiced in a tomato sauce that caused the bone-on chicken drumsticks to seemingly melt off. Maybe a little too much, since shards of chicken bone made their way into the sauce, but nothing i'm not used to in similar dishes. The tandoori naan (separate cost, $1 USD) was warm and soft- there were two large pieces. The basmati rice was generous and about $3 USD, but nothing special- cooked correctly, but lacking in spice. Compared to other Indian-ish restaurants the most I found was a brown bay leaf. I had a few concerns however: First off, why did some meals have rice included while others did not? I overheard a conversation which implied that this was a restructured pricing due to Covid, which is understandable, but it didn't make much sense to still include it with other meals. It's been awhile since I had water from a bottle served in a restaurant, usually because our water treatment facilities in Missouri are fairly reliable. Was there something wrong with the tap in Manchester? Thankfully, I wasn't charged extra for it. Lastly, the waiter seemed really eager for us to pay in cash if possible. Before I ordered, he tried to convince the customers behind me if they could pay in cash too, so I made sure to check that they accepted credit card before dining. He seemed surprised that I didn't have any cash on me whatsoever, but they did have a machine available to take it anyway. Its reasonable to ask I guess- payment processors are stingy- but it also felt desperate. There were about one family and one couple when I arrived, and two other couples entered while I finished my meal, so at least they have consistent revenue. To end, I asked the waiter if he would mind boxing up the remaining rice to bring home. He brought over a container and a bag for me to box the food, but after clearing my plates and inquiring about cash, he started pouring the rice into the box anyway... ...I mean, I'd like to believe that was just a courtesy, but at the time I interpreted it as being rushed out of the restaurant. It wasn't particularly full. Mmm, I could be mistaken. He was the only person on waitstaff duty so maybe he was just trying to be expedient. Maybe future visits will illuminate his behavior.

Our comment was genuine , the receipt is the proof!!!

We wet there on Sunday evening , kind of late at night. We have ordered family tandoor BBQ platter, Shami kebab, Chapli kebab, bread , and chicken biryani. Food was so BAD. Chapli kebab and shami kebab were so dry and the texture so weird it didnt taste like meat at all. Meats from family bbq plAtter were even worse, one of the meats was so bad that you can't even eat it the smell and taste was so bad, tandoori chicken tHe red color one was undercooked and not marinated properly. The most delicious food there is bread. It was our first time family dinner and such a disappointment. Don't waste your time and money. There are way better places in the area!!! P.s owner is very friendly and nice but guys you have to know how to cook!!! That was the receipt from your place. Just in case that we were there. We r happy with the customer service but not the food.

Eating at Kababish is like eating in a home of a Pakistani family. They are friendly and hospitable and the food arrives pipping hot! The dining room is a banquet hall with chandeliers , high ceiling and plastic covered tables. They host events on the weekend in addition to regular meals and buffets. They are also open on specific times, so some preplanning or a call in advance might be worthwhile. We did the Sunday brunch buffet with them. The price was very reasonable. The traditional Sunday brunch food is Halwa (semolina sweet) poori (fried flaky bread) and Chana (spiced lentil curry). In addition to that the buffet included chicken biryani , various raitas and chutneys and a couple more vegetarian and meat based entrees. The service was very nice and they kept refilling our bread baskets with made to order pooris and naans. It was a luxurious carb fest that made me feel nostalgic for the food of the Indian subcontinent , and yet throughly satisfied.

Not very busy on Sunday night. Not a lot of food selection. We almost felt "pressured" into ordering soft drinks and desserts. This location has changed management so many times Chinese, Mexican, now Pakistani. This strip mall used to be much busier but it is definitely deteriorating.

It was ok!!Taste, volume and price are all fine!!Also, stuff was so kind!Thank u!!!!!!!

#BradyEats had 14, 16, 17 and 18. We also had 21, the Goat dish which was our favorite. Chicken tandoori was a strong runner-up!

#BradyEats impromptu date night! We got the BBQ platter and the goat. A TON of tastiness with unique spice... although both my wife and i would have liked it more spicy-hot. Naan bread & spiced rice with cardamom was a nice treat. We ordered enough for 4 people and had lots of leftovers. We'll be back and would like to use their catering as well.

The beauty of phenomenal Indian restaurants is that you can order anything on the menu and know it will taste great. This visit I had the combo of chicken tikka, chicken vindaloo, daal tadaka, and of course this new shahi paneer that was a total game changer. All dishes were excellent. On the side I had the garlic and cheese naan with basmati rice. This place appears unassuming from outside but on the inside it has an upscale feel with cloth table tops and cloth napkins, glassware, and attentive dressed up staff that frequent your table often. I will be back. Perhaps even again this weekend!

This time around, the experience was a little better. I ordered the curry chicken with a side of garlic naan, while my wife chose the aloo baingan. The food took about 25 minutes to come out, which felt a bit long for lunch but wasn't unreasonable. One thing I did notice was that a table that was seated after us (they arrived about 10 minutes after we were seated) received their food before we did, including another table that had a larger party. It wasn't a major issue, but it did stand out and is something the kitchen could and should improve on. They should really work to a FIFO (First in First Out) schedule. That said, the food itself was very enjoyable. My curry chicken, ordered at a medium spice level, was cooked and seasoned perfectly to my taste. The garlic naan was especially good--fresh, flavorful, and a great complement to my meal. Overall, this visit improved my impression compared to the first time around.

They were decently busy for dinner with takeout orders and had plenty of inside seating. Our wait staff was very friendly and attentive to every table, taking great care of us. The inside was very classic and spacious, with plenty of room between tables. My partner and I started with the Aloo Pakora, garlic cheese naan, and the onion kulcha. This was a great way to start our experience as the waiter explained each dish to us, as well as the different sauces we could enjoy with it! For our entree, we got a generous portion of lamb biryani and chicken tikka masala. They confirmed what spice level we would like (1-5, with 1 being not hot and 5 being spicy). We got the 3 and thought it was the perfect spice level for us, as people that frequently enjoy spicy foods. To end, we got a ras malai for dessert, which is a cold dessert with milk and pistachios. It was the perfect way to cool down our tongues after the meal. We had plenty of food leftover to have for a 2nd dinner the next day as well, which is a plus!

What a find this was!…read more See pictures for the interior feel of the place. That's the only down side. Small place, feels more like a place to order take out. Not really conducive to eat in, it's not a totally comfortable vibe. But we did! As well as a few other people that came at the same time. The service was great! Server guy, I'm not sure what to call him, was extremely attentive, personable and did pretty much all the running around while we were there. He handled all the tables, handled the people picking up food for take out, and did it all smoothly. The food really was amazing. Again, see the pictures I posted. We over ordered, on purpose, to try a little of a lot of things. The corn soup was different, but good. Seems to be a mix of a few cans of cream corn, broth, and a few chicken bits (if you ordered chicken). We found it pleasant. The fried spinach was amazing. The yellow curry was amazing. The Mongolian beef was amazing. Thank you for the rice, there was quite a bit of it and the fried shrimp (I forget the official name...fried shrimp?) off the appetizer menu) was AMAZING. We will definitely go back. Even if it's just take out. I must say....we took the left overs home and they made the trip just fine and were still good as left overs. Highly recommend. The restaurant was clean and featured a modern décor, which made for a nice atmosphere right from the start. We were seated immediately upon arrival, which is always a plus on a Friday night. To start, my wife ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, and I went with my usual--a Corona with a lime. For our meals, she chose the Veggie Biryani, while I went with the Tandoori Chicken, with a side of rice and garlic naan. Her Veggie Biryani had that classic slow-building heat you expect from Indian cuisine. I tried a bite myself, and it definitely had a nice kick without being overwhelming. My Tandoori Chicken was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and very satisfying. The garlic naan was also a standout and paired well with everything. In reading other reviews about Minerva, it sounded like the buffet offerings were extensive. We arrived at noon when they opened and when the buffet was scheduled to start. We were the first there. One worker told us it would be five minutes before the buffet was ready. The second worker told us it would be 10 minutes before the buffet was ready. But it was not ready for 20 minutes. By then other patrons had arrived and jumped the line. There was a lot of variety in both meat and vegetarian dishes. One stand out was the tandoori chicken. The chicken curry was also good. The chaat fixings were good. There was chai as part of the buffet. Ambience was a bit odd. Water was served in bottles as opposed to glasses of ice water like most Indian restaurants have. Paper plates, and plastic, forks, and spoons as well as low quality brown napkins were the order of the day. You bus your own table. It was not the gold standard of Indian buffets, but it's better than any post pandemic offering that I have been to.
