Just awful and completely inedible. I was trying to avoid fast food while on the road and figured I'd play it safe with Mediterranean--how bad could it be, right? So I stopped at Kabab Twist, thinking a gyro and salad would be a decent, quick meal. Big mistake. Took one bite of the gyro and immediately regretted it. The meat was dry, flavorless, and tasted like it had been sitting around way too long. The salad wasn't any better--limp greens and a dressing that tasted like it came straight from a bottle of disappointment. After two bites total, the whole plate went straight in the trash. That should tell you everything you need to know. Avoid. This place somehow managed to mess up Mediterranean food, and that's saying something. read more

Nice, new (as of mid-'23) little place inside Village Mall in downtown Kingsburg, where there are also some cute gift, children's, and garden shops. This is counter ordering with limited seating in the area and a little more in the mall hallway - quiet for our weekday lunch but might be less so when busy. No problem - just take out, because the food is worth it. I had a chicken shawarma plate so tasty I didn't even need the garlic sauce, and the pilaf was light and fluffy. My companions enjoyed their gyro and chicken wraps, the latter having a little spice kick. Side salads were nothing out of the ordinary, but side French fries were plentiful. The counter worker (possibly the owner) was helpful and attentive. It's a little hard to spot because the only sign outside is for all the shops in the little mall. Just look for the mall sign and head through the door (it feels like you might be entering one of these shops but you're not) and straight to the back - it's well marked. You might evening enjoy the other shops too, as I did. read more

Congratulations to Kabab Twist For opening up their brick and mortar location in Kingsburg. They are located in the Village Mall on Draper street. This is their Chicken Kabab plate and an order of falafel. Everything was was great!! The chicken has a little spicy so I'm not sure if I got the spicy one or if the regular one is just a little spicy. Either way it was delicious. The falafel was good but seemed just a touch over cooked. But still has great flavor. Not pictured is their garlic sauce which was on point. Service was excellent! If you are in or near Kingsburg definitely check them out!!! read more

I really wanted to like Kabab Twist... However, I wasn't impressed by my first visit. I ordered the chicken kabob plate to go. The salad was really disappointing. It had only tomato and lettuce. It was missing cucumber and pita chips and the lettuce was barely dressed, so was overall pretty dry and bland. The chicken was overcooked, but seasoned. There were a ton of onions, but hardly any bell pepper. I liked how thinly sliced the onion and peppers were. Although, I would have liked them cooked a bit more. They were almost raw. The rice pilaf and garlic sauce were both good. I love tzatziki sauce and this one was just okay. I'm willing to give it another try, but my go-to spot for Mediterranean is still Kabab City in Fowler. read more

However, the food was borderline inedible. $30 plate of rice smothered in a God awful floral seasoning and a tiny serving of overcooked and, again over seasoned chicken. The meager bits of fajita vegetables didn't help the presentation or my palate. I am about to start driving back down the 99. I sure hope I don't defecate my pants because I'm fairly certain the garlic sauce is used to degrease engines and remove paint from concrete. read more

My daughter door dashed us salads from here and they were so delicious. I only review places if they are worth reviewing and this place is great. I came with my husband and grandson and ate inside and the food and service was wonderful. It's quiet and relaxing. The owner is very nice and accommodating. It's clean and spacious. Everything about this food is *chef's kiss* My food is fresh, it smells amazing, and it tastes outstanding. Excellent falafel, and I'm picky about falafel. The serving sizes are large, so you'll definitely have delicious leftovers! I had mine delivered via DoorDash and I even thought I was missing an item, so I called to ask and while I was talking with the nicest man on the phone I found the item in my bag. The only negative for me would be that I have a habit of going after the lunch rush as that's when I'm available to go and the tables are usually dirty or sticky, but not in the essence of it looking bad. Other than that the food is amazing!!! So much flavor! And it will not disappoint if this is your type of food. I really appreciate how authentic it tastes and the owner MO and his employees are extremely polite and professional! I most definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and always make sure to take a picture and post it on social media to show them off. Double win for Kingsburg! So excited that we finally have a Mediterranean restaurant here, but it's a double win because the food is so good. We tried the Beef & Spicy Chicken Kabab Plates, Chicken Kabab Fattoush Salad, Spicy Hummus, and Chicken Shawarma Plate. All excellent. The surprise hit was the Spicy Chicken Kabab Fries. The flavors blended together well, we all felt that it was a creative use of spices and texture. This will be one of our new favorite restaurants for sure. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Kabob Twist! I needed a complete meal for 30 people, and they came through! Not only was our meal ready at the time we needed, they carried it onto our car and it was delicious!! Everyone kept asking me where we got our dinner from, everyone loved it. I left a review before but that was take out, so I wanted to update my review, because we ate inside about a month ago. It was a nice little lunch date with my boyfriend. The man working was very patient and kind. He let me substitute something on one of the plates. (So awesome when they do this) and it was just as good as I thought it was!. I decided to write this review mostly because I've been to two different Mediterranean places since, and they just didn't compare. Especially the salad. I can't get enough of this place. The Main location is in Kerman. Today they were parked at New York Life Complex in North Fresno for lunch. I tried the Chicken Shawarma Wrap the prices for the Sandwiches were very reasonable. The chicken was tender and the garlic sauce was tasty and not too much. I would order this again but have them add more lettuce and tomato. They have a large menu and I hope they come back again so I can try a different sandwich. read more

Okay Kingsburg, I see you! This is actually pretty good! I Doordashed the chicken kebab plate and the rice and chicken had great flavor. The veggies were a bit undercooked and not much flavor, but the rest was good I wasn't really bothered by it. The salad was nice and fresh- even though it's winter and tomatoes aren't in season, the tomatoes were bright red and looked fresh. The pita chips on the salad were great too. Garlic sauce wasn't as good as Churrasco's, but was ok. Well done! read more

We went on June 8th which I guess was opening week and was very disappointed. First we walked up and stood there because we didn't know it was a strictly to go place. After a few minutes the girl behind the counter finally told us we order at the counter and everything is to go but you can sit at the tables there to eat if you'd like. We ordered and sat down to wait. First bad sign was the soda, I was given a lukewarm can of Coke that I was charged $3 for, she pulled it out of a bucket of water there was no ice (or VERY little left) as it wasn't even cold. After a small wait our food was ready so we decided to stay and eat as we had other errands to run in town so going home then back out was very inconvenient. We were surprised by the size of the to go containers Vs. the price we paid, the containers we extremely small yet the prices aren't we paid $45 for 2 meals and 1 soda. We have Mediterranean food all the time and the portion here doesn't reflect the price they are charging. We started to eat and my husband noticed his spicy chicken had no flavor at all. I then cut into my chicken and saw that it was raw still which was completely off putting so of course I put it aside and didn't continue to eat it. I cut into another and it was cooked but rather bland and had no flavor unlike typical Mediterranean food. The garlic sauce tasted very tart not garlicky and wasn't good. I stopped eating and we decided to go. We packed up what was left and I threw it away when we got home. I was super excited we were going to have a new Mediterranean place to go to but we won't be back, we will stick to Fowler as throwing away $45 worth of food wasn't a good feeling. Not to mention the girl in the front and the guy in the back were arguing in front of everyone about orders being marked as "here" he was saying no they all get marked to go and she was saying the here meant they were here waiting. They also turned on music as we were sitting and we were right under the tv that the music was coming from and it was quite loud, we couldn't carry on a conversation with it playing.
