Curries, cream sauces, spices -- plenty to choose from for just about any taste. I always appreciate a menu that helps you anticipate the flavors you're about to experience. My son opted for the butter chicken, while I went with the coconut curry lamb. We also ordered two servings of butter naan. The food arrived promptly and was excellent. Rich, flavorful and exactly what we were hoping for. The sauces were fantastic, the flavors did not disappoint, and that butter naan didn't stand much of a chance! The staff checked on us during the meal without being intrusive and made sure everything was to our liking. It absolutely was. As we finished, one of the staff members stopped by while clearing our plates and struck up a conversation, asking whether we were locals and what had brought us in. When we told him we were, he offered several suggestions for dishes we should try next time and mentioned that they have a Sunday buffet, which is a great opportunity to sample different foods and discover some new favorites. I started with an order of tandoori tikka paneer, which are cubes of Indian cottage cheese, marinated in a yogurt and spices, and cooked in a clay oven. Even though this type of cheese is on the dry side, the marinate sauce accompaniment made for a delicious start to my meal. For my entree I had lamb sagwala, my favorite dish. Lamb sagwala were tender chunks of lamb, marinated in yogurt and Indian spices, then sautéed in a cream spinach sauce. The thing I like about the Indian restaurants I visit are usually hands on, family run. The young Indian lady who attended to me was very courteous and helpful, always smiling.
