Been here soo many times since over 2 years. But they clearly don't care about customers or customer service. Their main focus is money first. This was my last time going here. Never again after my interaction with them today. I placed an order at 10:30 pm. I got there at 11:05 and they were closed. I called today to see if I can get my order or refund today but they were not having it. So frustrating and so silly, like I already paid. Why would you loose a regular customer over remaking an order??? It's coo. Calling my credit card company and getting my money back because I did not receive any goods or services. Authentic Pakistani touch in my experience. I went for the buffett during Ramadan and it was really good. I would give 4.5 stars in the app if I could. Why am I deducting .5 stars? The following suggestions should clarify. 1. They should stop putting/providing/suggestin "plastic" spoon with hot tea. Its not healthy. 2. They really need to upgrade the toilet. I'd like to clarify that this is not a mediterranean restaurant. It's Pakistani. I asked a Pakistani friend where I could find some good authentic Pakistani food- particularly kababs and he suggested this place. They have the BEST samosas I've ever tasted outside of my mom's kitchen (again, Pakistani, not Indian but similar sounding dishes). They are so much better than in any Indian restaurant I've tried in the city- or outside the city. I only tried the kababs but definitely recommend them over anything else as the taste is amazing. I suggest getting the combo plate to start with so you try a little bit of everything. I can't pinpoint a favorite. The tandoori chicken is tender and juicy, the seekh or sheek kababs are incredibly flavorful, both lamb and beef. If you haven't tried it, definitely get the Chicken Malai Kabab- it melts in your mouth! They all pair perfectly with their housemade breads... I would suggest calling your order in before you go if you're picking up. We waited a considerable amount of time for a to go order. But it was worth the wait. read more

This Pakistani restaurant represents the cuisine well, all the food was done great, but It also delivers the usual lackluster service and dreary atmosphere of the worst of these hole in the wall joints Following the Yelp reviews and my Elvis impersonating GPS, we arrived at the somewhat scary strip center and walked in to Kabab Hut. We ordered at the counter from a surly and distracted gentleman. Between his attitude and preoccupation with his phone, I would give it a .5 on 10 point friendliness scale. Underwhelmed with the service and atmosphere, we waited for our order while a Spanish soccer game blared in the background. Once the food came out, my mood shifted. Naan bread was really, really good. Daal, palak, butter chicken all delish. So if you're looking for a romantic restaurant with excellent service and one that you can feel was a culinary and epicurean experience, this isn't it. I was in the area running an errand on my lunch break and stopped in strictly based on Yelp reviews. It doesn't look very appealing from the outside as many of the businesses in the same strip mall appeared to be closed. But don't let that fool you. This place was very good! The service wasn't extremely fast (especially seeing as we were the only ones there) but it was fast enough for a long work lunch. I really want to like this place. The goat biriyani is generous on the succulent pieces of goat. The naans are soft as baby's bottoms. The curries are spiced well, with ample chunks of meat in them. My problem is that the kababs themselves are rather ordinary. They're not bad. Just ordinary. And the ambience is terrible - often dirty, rarely cleaned up after guests leave. I am obsessed...this food is amazing! Don't bother going if you are looking for ambience - Kabab Hut decor is about as bare bones as it gets. If, however, its the food you are after and you are looking for an authentic Pakistani meal, then Kabab Hut delivers. So I can't speak to the entire menu, primarily because the food I have had there has been so delicious that I've had a bit of a struggle to branch out. I crave their chicken samosas - the best I've ever had by miles...and they're perfect warmed up in a toaster oven so pick up an order for later. And the Chicken 65 - just the right amount spice and a nice size serving. But my favorite is the kher. Truthfully, kher has got to be pretty horrible for me not to like it (to a greater or lesser extent) but this kher I love. I'd pay triple to have a serving right now. So Kabab Hut may not be a first date kind of a place, but its definitely a 3rd and 4th and 5th......sort of place. read more

My husband had heard that Kabab Hut was absolutely delicious so we decided to try this place tonight. We had never ate Pakistanian food before. Our orders were suggestions from a friend. I ordered the Chicken Tikka and my husband ordered the Chicken Seek Kabab, Lahori Chana and Naan. My Chicken Tikka was very flavorful. The Chicken Seek Kabab was very good. It reminds me of a spicy sausage with lots of flavor. The Naan dipped in the Lahori Chana was extremely good. Since we carried out, we didn't get to look at the food until we got home. When we looked at only the Chicken by itself, it wasn't very much food (mind you, they were $3.99 each). But once we decided to dip the Naan in the Lahori to go with our chicken, we realized that this was quite a lot of food! I will definitely order from here again. Delicious! read more

The food here is amazing. Our favorites are the chicken 65, malai boti, and chicken tikka. We go out of our way to eat here at least once a month. The food tastes pretty good, but the service is immensely disappointing. Everyone else in the restaurant was getting much better service with eye contact and good manners, but my family was ignored, they begrudgingly wiped down our sticky table, they were late with certain dishes and didn't make any eye contact or inform us that things were still coming out. We basically thought they forgot our last dish, so I just shared my plate. I went up to the counter to check on the last dish and just tell them to cancel it (wanted to be sure they weren't cooking it or something) because we had already eaten. Then the guy finally speaks and says oh its ready. 5 more min later they brought it out...? Would have been appropriate for them to take it off our charge since it was late and unwanted at that point, but they didn't. I suggest going to Purnima or Himalayan Spice. Much better treatment and experience. Edit: Updating my review to include my experience with catering. My family decided to try Kabob Hut for catering because we do enjoy the food, and it was all very reasonably priced and very yummy. So it's a self-serve restaurant that's so loud you can't hear yourself talk or talk to everyone who came there with you. But, who really cares, every dish we ordered here tasted different and delicious, not marinated with the same ingredients for each dish. Great place to eat. Self serve and you might need to sanitize/clean the table. Food is really well made and is always fresh. The food portions are a bit less compare to other markets (NY/NJ) at these prices. Kulcha's are the best I've ever had. The crew is courteous but you have to engage them. They are not full customer service oriented which is the norm at desi spots. UPDATE: I cut two stars from it because of customer service and lack of cleanliness. I have been in town and went to this place three times in the past 2 weeks and found this place to be getting worse on being clean. Also, the little customer service they had is even worse. The owners (old man and his son) pay no attention to their customers. The old man is keen to watch his TV where as his son is running in between their two shops and seems over worked. read more

I liked this visit a lot more than the last time I was here. I tried their butter chicken. I loved the gravy it was in, but didn't like the pieces of chicken as I am a fan of white meat and not dark meat. I also had the chicken seekh kabob and it was tasty. We ordered naans and they weren't buttered, which I didn't like though it was healthier for me. The mango lassi is pretty good. We also had some kashmiri chai, which was delicious. I got the chicken karahi today. I never had any though I've eaten at many indo-Pakistani/ and Afghan restaurants before. It was delicious. Spiciness was just right. Not sure if they threw in some diced meat (chicken or beef) or that was all just spices in the sauce, but it can get overwhelming if you eat it alone. It's goes good with naan. Chicken was moist, big bone-in chunks. I had wanted to try some of their paki deserts but didn't see them in a case, so i was hesitant. Very good food for right price. read more

Like a lot of ppl here said, the food is good but the service is bad. If you call to order carry out it seems like they don't start your order until you get there, defeats the point of ordering carry out. They forget portions of your order sometimes. One time I ordered 1 dish, showed up and asked for my order, he rung it up and didn't say the total or anything after I said I was here to pick up my food. The order was incorrect (I ordered 1 dish and was charged for 2) and he had to issue me a refund...I had to sit around waiting for the order even though I had ordered it on the phone 30 mins prior (they also don't repeat your order to you or the total on the phone, then don't even say bye so you just get hung up on before you can ask for that info) then it was missing my salad. The salad is right next to the register, the cashier usually has to add it after it's packed by the kitchen staff. They forget the salad 50% of the time and when you do remind them they treat it as such a huge annoyance. I understand carry out isn't priortized but sometimes I come in and I'm the only person in there. The food is good but it's such a bad experience each time you start to weigh if its even worth it going there. Don't order from them if you're already in a bad mood lol read more

I have mixed views about this restaurant. The first time we visited this restaurant, about 5 years ago, this place was a small, shaby, typical hole in the wall restaurant, crowded mostly with Pakistani / Indian people, which gave a feeling of authenticity of this place. You order the food at counter and then either pick or wait for the server to bring it to the table. I do not remember what we had ordered the first time, but whatever we had ordered was very delicious, very authentic desi taste( what you get in India or Pakistan). Portions were large, the curries were rich, spicy but not tongue burning hot. Although the curries were bit oily by normal standards, but I guess that is what gave a rich taste to them. The naans were soft and delicious. The prices were unbelievably low. Overall, it was a fantastic eating experience. When my in laws visited 2 year back, I wanted to delight them with authentic desi taste and I only remembered Kabab hut, since my father in law is a big fan of non veg food. I could not remember any other restaurant that he may like, other than this restaurant at that time, since he had just arrived from India and would compare any food here to what he was used to back home. So I took him here in a hope that he will be too happy to taste authentic desi food here in Atlanta. I had too many good things to tell him about this restaurant that raised lot of curiosity in him. Unfortunately, it was a disaster this time. Whatever we ordered, chicken malai boti kabab, tikka boti, chicken 65, chicken kadahi, was not at all to the standard, the taste had fallen substantially from the first time. Malai boti had no taste - totally bland, soggy chicken 65, semi cooked chicken kadhai. I was wondering what the heck went wrong with this place over the years. I had to swallow all the good things I had talked about this place to my father in law :(. Was not happy at all.During this visit, the restaurant had got a powerful face lift - all renovated, nice and clean, good decor and wall hangings. The prices of dishes went up significantly. Unfortunately, quality of food went down. If this was what had to happen with upgrading, I would prefer the old, untidy place that had served the most delicious food. I have not visited it again after that time, but I hope they have gone back to their original quality and taste. Just hoping this place does not loose its authentic flavors in exchange for being jazzy in look. I also feel , may be it was just that bad day for their food. The food was good, but the decor left something to be desired. The benches are wobbly and lean back uncomfortably. We had the chicken 65 and the Kabob platter. The chicken 65 was tasty, but not as good as other places around the area. The do pack a good portion size, too. The kabob platter was also pretty good. Tried to order from here via Ubereats. 24 minutes after I placed the order, they cancelled it without any attempt to notify me at all, and no explanation. My card was/is valid and I'm inside the delivery area for this location. In other words, they just didn't feel like filling the order, and cancelled it almost half an hour after I placed it. We came here for dinner when visiting Atlanta. The waiter was very nice to us and the prices were very good. We loved the food so much we decided to come here for dinner on our second day as well. The things we loved are the chicken biryani, channay, nihari, haleem, beef kabob, chicken tikka, and the kulcha. I would really recommend biryani, haleem, and chicken tikka, and of course the kulcha was amazing. Also try the mango milkshake and gajar ka halwa. The only small disappointment they didn't have fish which we wanted to try as well but everything else was good. read more
