Everybody knows how hard it is to find a good, reliable mechanic that won't charge you an arm and…read morea leg to repair your car. We were lucky enough to have found Maui Auto Care which was referred to us by a friend. I had some issues with my car as a result of some work previously done by another mechanic. It was your typical scenario where you come in with one problem and leave with 12 more. I had put off the issues for awhile because I just didn't want to deal with mechanics ripping me off and causing more issues but it just got to the point where my car really needed to be fixed. We took our car in and had it checked. My brakes were making really loud grinding noises. I can't tell you what the prognosis was but let's just say it was something that needed to be addressed right away or we would have had major safety issues. I was bracing myself for a huge invoice but when the work was quickly done and the damages were conveyed, it wasn't so bad. My car has been working great since and I have not had any piggybacking issues like I usually do when I take my car in. I'm so glad we found our go-to mechanic who we can trust to not only get the repairs done quickly but also not charge me an arm and leg for it. The main mechanic, Robert, is also the owner there so you're not getting some recently graduated tech who doesn't know his bolts and sockets. lol I highly recommend Robert and Maui Auto Care if you're in need of some honest, reliable repairs for your car.

No questions asked, no effort to understand, just dismissed me flat. The whole vibe felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. It honestly felt like he just didn't want to deal with me--whether it was how I was dressed or something else, I don't know, but it didn't sit right. I was ready to do business, and he wasn't even willing to hear me out. Wouldn't recommend.

Tire Warehouse Hawaii - This guy is good! He knows his stuff when it comes to tires and alignment! Thanks Jonathan!

I'm just a regular tourist visiting Maui. Like most tourists, I rented a car and started exploring…read morethe island -- including some of those beautiful Maui roads that can be a little rough on a rental car. And, of course, our tire started losing air. We are two women who know absolutely nothing about tires, so we had no idea what was going on. We simply searched for the closest tire shop, saw that this place was only about six minutes away, and drove straight there. We didn't read reviews, we didn't call ahead, and we didn't have an appointment. We literally just showed up off the street with a flat tire. We mainly wanted to make sure there wasn't a nail, a puncture, or some other problem that could surprise us later while driving around the island. From the moment I got out of the car and explained the situation, we were treated with such kindness and professionalism. The gentleman who seemed to be running the place immediately took care of us, invited us to leave the car with him, and showed us to a very cozy little waiting area by his office. We barely had time to wait. Within about half an hour, he had found the nail in our tire, fixed the problem, and had us ready to go again. Everything was incredibly quick and easy -- and the amount we paid was almost unbelievably reasonable. What impressed me even more was watching him with other customers while we were there. People kept coming in with different problems, and he gave every single person his attention. He spoke to everyone kindly, made people feel welcome, and seemed to solve problems almost instantly. There was no stress, no attitude, no feeling that we were an inconvenience because we had simply appeared without an appointment. I honestly could not be happier with the service. Finding someone like this when you are far from home, on vacation, and suddenly have a problem with your car is priceless. This gentleman is truly a little gem of Maui. Next time I come back to the island, even if I don't have a tire problem, I'm stopping by just to say hi. This is one of those wonderful contacts you find while traveling that you simply don't want to lose. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of two completely unprepared tourists.

I'm writing this as a repeat customer, which is why this experience was so disappointing…read more We recently decided to hold off on a repair for our van. Earlier that day, my husband was on the phone with the mechanic and asked whether he could text that same number to follow up. The mechanic answered, "You're talking to me, right?" so my husband texted to let him know we were holding off on the work. We had no way of knowing it was the shop's landline, and it was never mentioned. A week later, the mechanic called asking if we were still bringing the van in. When I explained that we had already texted to cancel, he became short and dismissive, told me he had blocked off the entire day, and waved off the fact that we had reached out by saying, "Yeah, you texted the shop phone." When I pointed out that he had told my husband to use that number, he said "yeah, yeah" and hung up on me. I understand that a last-minute change can be frustrating for a business, and if there was a mix-up about which number to use, that is worth clarifying for future customers. But responding to a paying customer by talking over them and hanging up is not professional. We won't be returning. Good mechanics are worth keeping, but basic respect for your customers should come standard.
