Terrible business. Bought some light bulbs a year ago or so. They failed within 3 months. These are 120-140$ listed on their website by the way. Can find the same ones on amazon for 30$. They arent any different. Owner called me out of spite when I asked for my money back, he decided to harass me as professional business owners do. When I had asked for a repair he told me to send it in for a replacement, but I had to pay shipping. What a load of deceit. I would be paying for shipping the bulbs back every time they failed which is likely to be often. Owner is a scam artist do NOT fall for his tricks. read more

I always use PayPal and NEVER have to enter an address when using PayPal as a go between. David is rude and delusional. His ways of thinking just don't make any sense. He surely knows more than KIA i am just going to show my email exchange; me; i have a 2015 kia optma and my manual says i use a H11B bulb your cree head lights states i need H11 Dave Hello Roderick, I'm not sure where you are getting confused here. If you would like to order the product for your 2015 Optima, you need to order H11 or H7. We have been doing this for nearly 10 years now and specialize in these vehicles and I can promise you regardless of what your owners manual says, the 2015 Kia Optima uses an H7 headlight bulb for the low beam, or H11. If you would like to know for sure, please remove one of the low beam headlight bulbs and the size will be marked right on the bulb itself. Thank you, David ME First of all i can care less about the amount of time that you have been doing this, maybe you need some more work on your customer service, you come off as a smart ASS. Then do your research like getting owner manuals of the new model year and do you think i would not take the word of the maker of the car. Bought a roof spoiler that stated "2011-2015 Kia Optima Roof Spoiler- Designed to fit perfectly using supplied 3M Automotive grade adhesive tape - Looks original and flows perfectly with your Optima's existing body lines". What I was sent wasn't what was in their pictures and did not come close to matching body lines (over a 1/2 inch off in some places). I emailed them and was told that aftermarket parts don't fit perfectly even though their ad stated otherwise. I would have settled for just a "close" fit. David (represents himself as the owner) told me I had too much attention to detail and then mentioned the positive reviews. Those positive reviews he mentioned are from another spoiler they used to sell, not the cheap junk he sent me. They also do not allow negative reviews to show up about the product, as I left one and it never showed up. In short they misrepresent their products, hide negative feedback, send you garbage, then charge you a 25% return fee. Not a bad scam if you can get away with it. This used to be a reputable company but not anymore. Avoid at all costs. read more

So I reported "Dave" to the BBB over a $90 refund..after reading some reviews here i noticed striking similarities as it pertains to the arrogance of this kia sticker salesman..he attempted to be pontificating ..condescending and belittling just because i asked for a LINK to the return policy.....heres the exchange "I already replied to the first email you sent regarding this. Why is there no link or someone can request a refund? Because why would there be a link for that, you request a refund through email and we provide you with the steps on what needs to be done to return the product." Not even sure where to start with this review. Technically i have waited about 55 days to post "THE WORST ONLINE BUYING EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD" I'll try to give the short version. (IE: 63 day process) Issues started when i received this item from k5optima store in the mail. A bit later than expected, but no problem i was just really exited to see if a strut tower bar would help my stability after reading about it online. After purchasing this item it was delivered DAMAGED! Which is unfortunate, but does happen...even to highly wrapped extremely strong strut bars apparently...? this is where i have an issue, website says worry free exchanges - it took two weeks and about 10 photo's of installation attempts to prove the item arrived damaged. Response from David (apparently the owner of the k5optimastore himself) saying that with this situation they have to open an investigation with the mail courier, figure out how this got damaged and what not, who to blame and who will reimburse who kinda thing, totally standard to figure things out, i get that...but all before i can be issued a replacement. however i did not wait 18 days after paying full price for this item (which is only a 20 minute install) to: 1. Receive it damaged. 2. Have to prove it wasn't the item i purchased. 3. have to wait who knows how long for an investigation. 4. receive this high and mighty business owners attitude Which you can all see in every single response he has made to these reviews..condescending , arrogant, take your pick honestly he reminded me of a dirty cop. and to say i couldn't wait for our interactions to stop is an understatement. He literally jerked me around as long as he could without looking bad, called my personal phone number at pretty bad timing i might add, which online businesses do that...so i simply asked that we skip to the solution of either sending me out a new Bar, or sending me my money back. simple right? I love LEDs and modding my car and the K5 Optima store sells exactly what I love at a good price for a quality product. So far I've ordered a 3.0 K emblem and I received it fast and it was very professionally shipped. It fit just as advertised and it has a really cool carbon fiber trim on it as well. I plan on ordering the 25 Watt CREE LED reverse bulbs next. They are also being sold at a decent price for such a high quality custom product. You cannot find this bulb anywhere else! I found out about the K5 Optima Store through the optima forums and all i can say about David and his store is wow! I have purchased numerous items from his store and i am very pleased with how fast i received the items and how the products work. He has pretty much anything you can ask for when your looking to mod your K5 and if he doesn't have it he's more than happy to go out of his way to find the product you are looking for. I am bummed out to have to post this, but I need to be honest as I always am. I purchased white emblems from here for my kia.. they were super easy to install and a bit over priced if you ask me. But either way, the shipping was outstanding. Within a month, the emblems turned yellow so I emailed David to tell him my issue. He was super kind and apologetic regarding the situation and told me to purchase new emblems and I would get reimbursed. That is exactly what I did, However I wasnt fully reimbursed which upset me. I emailed him and he came off kind of rude and a little belittling towards me explaining why I still had to pay a portion for the new emblems. Either way, I wasn't mad at the old emblems turning colors however I would expect to get new emblems totally free of charge considering it wasn't my fault. He will reply to this post explaining the situation I'm sure but I still feel like I shouldn't have to pay a dime for new emblems. Again to be fair..shipping is great and fast..he is usually nice but not when you question him. I found the same quality emblems on other sites such as ebay.. wayyyy cheaper. I've purchased my 50W LED reverse lights, my Carbon Fiber License Plate Frame, a CP-E midpipe (with high flow catalytic converter and resonator), a set of The Retrofit Source RGB Angel Eyes and Demon Eyes (with control modules), a pair of STi-R Clear Lenses, a Throttle Body Spacer, as well as the (now discontinued) 50/50 Switchback Under Eyeline DRLs. My reverse lights are still bright as ever! My license plate frame has held up great in the California heat, the midpipe sounds AMAZING (I have it paired with a Magnaflow Catback exhaust), and the headlight upgrades all look great and function beautifully! I have met the owner, David, on a few occasions and he has always been a very open and well mannered businessman. He takes the time to hear what his customer is asking for and even will put the extra effort in to call back after business hours if youre having a problem. I personally had issues with my car that were COMPLETELY unrelated to his business (a bad ECU from a dealer), and he spent about and hour and half on the phone with me trying his best to help me troubleshoot exactly what was wrong with it since the used car dealer was basically hanging me out to dry as it was something they couldn't diagnose. Admittedly, you can find a few of these products $3-$10 cheaper elsewhere sometimes, but with free US shipping (which 90% of the time will balance out or beat the total cost as most other shippers will charge for shipping), the fact that K5OS warranties every product sold, and the level of customer service I've experienced with my own purchases....i will definitely be making almost all, if not all, my future purchases here for parts for my 2012 Optima SX. Not to mention, any product you see elsewhere, the store can most likely get you the same product/brand for the same price if not cheaper...plus free shipping! Easily the most responsive and dedicated customer service I've ever experienced. If you call or email k5 during business hours, you will absolutely get an almost immediate response. No waiting days or even hours to speak to someone as confused as you are either. You talk the owner David every time. He's just as excited to get your vehicle working how you envisioned it as you are. I've even emailed David to talk about potential mods to my vehicle in which k5 won't even make a sale and they still are passionate and enthusiastic about you getting what you want! My purchases with k5 for my 2013 Optima sx turbo: (you have to get #3 if you're serious about horsepower and torque) 1. Complete led interior kit. Plug and play. Easy install. Makes the vehicle look very clean and classy. No more dull yellow. Now vibrant white interior and license plate lights. 2. Matching HID fog lights, low beams, and turn signal switchback Leds. You have to checkout switchbacks. These stay white like your headlights and fogs and then only when you turn, the one turning goes yellow, then back to nice vivid white. They come with added feature of looking super sharp as running lights. Now my entire front end is matching white. 3. This is the kicker and complete game changer for me. The lap3 uncle chip tune. This is almost a joke when it comes to installation. Literally 2 plugs under the hood, no tools but a few zip ties to keep wires tied up. Add in another 15 minutes to install the recommended spark plugs and you now have anywhere from a 35-50 horsepower increase (depending on the octane level of gas you use) I drove an infiniti g35 before my optima. I never ever thought in my wildest dreams that I'd go from a 6 cylinder to a 4 and actually gain horsepower and torque. This mod will put you back in your seat like you're driving a rear wheel drive 3.5 liter. No jokes about it. With traction control ON I've chirped my 3 first gears numerous times now. This is an absolute game changer and be careful in traffic with it because the car can surprise you with it's power. No I'm not kidding. David from k5 recently stayed on the phone with me for about a half and hour to get my led switchbacks working. He knew the problem and helped me step by step to get it done. He talked down on me as if I was in the wrong and said the headlights were missing parts when I know for a fact they were not. At first, he refused any kind of refund because he said he could not re-sell them in the condition I sent them back in. Long story short, I was able to get SOME of my money back. BUYERS BEWARE! If you are an overseas buyer, please think again before making a purchase from this store. After firstly my parcel arriving over a month later, the country they had put on the label was Austria, not Australia. I was given badges that due to manufacturing issues became faulty with use, through a complaint to David, I was told to purchase a new set of badges and send the original badges back for a full refund. This was odd to me to have to purchase more before I was refunded/replaced for faulty goods, but none the less went with David's request. I was told that no shipping label would be sent out and I would have to fork out the return shipping of $30 AUD! The new set that arrived turned faulty within a small window, so on complaint to David, after much haggling, he agreed to send me yet another replacement set out and I to pay the return shipping on the faulty items. (Again, terrible business). After him receiving the badges, he then emails me stating it is my fault the badges he had so many complaints on and had to change the manufacturer with, are faulty. I have received no refund on the badges and am out of pocket for overseas shipping and badges! Owning two KIA Optima Platinums, I will never do business here again, and recommend if you are in the market for KIA badges, please look on ebay and elsewhere. I received some from a Korean store on ebay and have had no issues with them and they were only a fifth of what David is charging on his K5 website. I wish I had known this before all these dealings. Be aware he is a small, one man band (I was told this after I asked to go higher and speak to a Manager) so should you have any issues you are dealing with one person, who's stubbornness and argumentative nature is not suited to dealings with customers. In response to David's response, I was sent one replacement, I bought the other 2 badge sets in question, on the agreeance that I would return the set and have it reimbursed! (which has never happened). Also inverted commas generally imply words said by a person. Quote unquote. Never have I ever told K5 they would be sorry, nor reverted to bribery to obtain what was promised to me in writing. My refund. My review is truly based on the experience and dealings I received, as, I am hoping is the majority of reviews on YELP, and if my experience can make one person take their business elsewhere, (ebay people!)
