Took my family and little guy here to have some weekend fun. The employees are very helpful especially the boy helping my little guy on his first go kart experience. I ordered a meal that was supposed to come with beer but they didn't have any, the bathrooms weren't cleaned and there was tissue everywhere and soap dispensers were empty. It can use some updating. It seems the staff was very small and maybe more help was needed in the counter and cleaning to keep up. Overall, it was a fun day and we'd definitely go again. read more

We decided to go have a fun night while visiting from FL. We researched the website and learned it's best to book for large groups. We emailed and called a few times with no response over a couple days. So we decided to show up! There was a group of 11. It took forever to pay. The deal we wanted wasn't available because the kitchen was CLOSED!!! Are you kidding me. We were told it was closed because of a staff shortage. But they WERE making food for other people. When I asked they said it's because it was for a group reservation. (I'm not a rude customer) so I accepted and walked away. We waited 2 hours before we were able to race. And 20-30 min between our 3 races. We were there from 6-10pm They allowed us to get the $70 deal and added more gaming points to cards to cover the food. (I thought was pretty fair in the moment) after playing the games. Which by the way does not have a pool table as stated online, we went to the counter to get prizes. Well that didn't work out well either as the cards did not count the points earned!!! The man behind the counter was pretty fair and nice to the littles with points. ALOT of the games were also out of order. The racing was fun and fair. That part was good! The bathroom was clean too. Overall it didn't seem to be the employees fault but the management and reservation system that made our visit a little uneasy. Would we return during our next visit,? no. One $30.00 race for your junior child lasts 12 laps or 4 minutes. The cars will malfunction, causing the entire race to come to a halt until the problem cart can be switched out. Getting your child into yachting would be less expensive. read more

Came here after a bad experience at the Jessup / Baltimore location. I will say this location was a lot less crowded, the workers were friendlier, and the wait times were shorter. Both locations did work together, to ensure my family had a better experience this time. The way the races were setup, my son would've been racing on one track while I was on another, and I wanted to watch him, the workers had no problems pushing us to the next race to accommodate everyone. Overall, maybe k1 locations just have exceptionally small tracks compared to other karting places we have been to. It seems as if k1 as a brand needs a revamp. Bigger circuits, more menu options (something edible for adults) and more games in their "arcades". And perhaps some type of specials because the pricing is a little steep for what you get. Lastly, please prioritize the safety briefing for everyone. The amount of people no braking and full on crashing into others is crazy, or the ones who have never driven before at all. I think if everyone at least gets the bare minimum briefing it'll be more enjoyable for all. Do NOT waste your money but more importantly your valuable time at this awful establishment! My wife and I were looking for a fun experience to share with our teenage daughter and son along with our daughter's boyfriend so we thought this would be a good idea....we were wrong! We had been planning this for a bit and we were trying to get info before we made the hour long drive to Wilmington. We had called multiple times and could never get a human to answer the phone for some questions. We called the morning of our planned visit at 10:05 am after their opening at 10:00 am and the recording told us " due to the high call volume" yada yada.....red flag numero uno! We took the trip and drove the hour to this horror show of a business. Upon arrival, I needed to use the men's room, I opened the door to the restroom and was absolutely appalled and taken back by the smell of sewage and urine. There was no running water in any of the sinks and the toilets and urinals were absolutely disgusting. I've worked many construction sites over my years and I've been subjected to some less than stellar port-a-potty's but none of them could ever prepare me for what I walked into at K1. I wouldn't let my worst enemy touch their skin to these disease infested, urine and fecal covered toilets! If I had to do a bowel movement, I probably would've gone out behind the dumpster next to the front door! Wilmington board of health are you reading this??? Turns out the only running water was the water bubbler in the lobby where I witnessed multiple people rinsing their hands under! Disgusting!!! After this bathroom debacle, we moved on to the mismanagement /racing aspect of our evening. We intended to do the 3 race package , we signed up, paid the fee and then we were told it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait.....ok that's not bad even though it didn't appear to be very busy. We were all excited to race and have a nice evening together.....we ordered two $13 dollar pretzels while we waited . I think one of the employees had to make the dough from scratch since it took almost 30 minutes for us to receive our order. After tasting the pretzels, I actually believe that these pretzels may have been dragged across the bathroom floor before they were given to us.....absolutely disgusting and gross! Ok, are you still with me??? Good because we are now two hours into this ordeal still waiting to do what we actually came to this place for. In the 2 + hours of waiting, we decided that we wanted a refund for 2 out of the 3 races because at this point, it was almost 8:15pm and we arrived at this place at 5:30pm! I didn't want to give anymore money or time to this place. The attendants at the front desk kept telling us that they were running behind and it would probably be a little longer! Just before 8:30 we finally got our chance to drive the go-karts. Let me tell you that the wait and all the crap ( literally) beforehand was not worth the 6 minutes of driving. This place needs to take a serious look into how they are running things......a complete waste of time and money spent on a Saturday. Look at the reviews people , not just mine but all the others as well and take note on the manager's response to all of them. They are obviously aware of how poorly they are running this place and it appears they do not care to do anything about it! Do yourself a favor and go to Apex in Marlboro instead and save your valuable time and money! This place should be closed and hopefully will close if they keep these poor standards up. If this place doesn't get their act together a lawsuit will for sure be coming their way. My friends and I went for 2 races which is already insanely overpriced for what you get. We get paired with 2 kids who seem to be friends with the workers. We were not able to enjoy our race in the slightest due to the workers slowing down our carts, even coming to a complete stop and letting their friends SLAM their carts into us. We were "briefed" in the beginning and told this would not be tolerated but their friends getting unlimited rides could do anything!! My friends and I are all in our early 20's and shouldn't be in EXTREME back pain after TWO rounds of racing. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

Best go karting place in Massachusetts. Best plsce to start. Very age diverse. Only place with Jr karts. I personally race the adult karts in the teen league. Very competitive and the adult karts handle great. Wish track was a little longer but still great. Would 100% recommend. I would bring your own gear because helmets are old but still good for a once in a while race. If you do the league then get your own helmet. read more

My cart was slowed down after I was "pressing the brake" and they claimed I was "breaking the cart" by using the brakes. The brake cable then proceeded to snap, and they blamed it on me. I've had great experiences here but something high up must have changed. There is a way better spot up in nh that I recommend you go to instead. read more

The worst Karting experience ever RESPECTING EVERY DRIVER'S LIFE IS THE BOTTOMLINE OF ANY RACING SPORT. It is a disgrace that this institution fails to uphold this fundamental principle. Prior to the race, the safety instructions DID NOT include any guidance about "avoiding collisions" or "braking at corners." There was NO mention that this is go-karting, not bumper cars. As a result, multiple drivers were constantly trying to collide with others on the track. During the race, I was bumped in THREE CONSECUTIVE CORNERS by two cars (a father and son?) driving at full speed without braking. They PIT ME INTO THE WALL. Despite these collisions, the marshals DID NOTHING to maintain safety or ensure a clean race. YELLOW OR RED FLAGS WERE NOT RAISED. For my personal safety, I had no option but to RETIRE FROM THE SESSION. After retiring, the marshals BLAMED ME for yelling at a junior driver to warn him to drive safely, completely disregarding the fact that this junior driver and his (alleged) father were REPEATEDLY CRASHING INTO OTHERS during corners. Perhaps this was because I'M ASIAN AND NOT WHITE. I am LUCKY the car DIDN'T FLIP when they crashed into me perpendicularly--otherwise, I could have DIED on this track. The reaction of the marshals reflects that this institution is COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL TOWARDS THE LIFE OF DRIVERS. When I requested to check the cameras, they CLAIMED THERE WERE NO CAMERAS at the track. This means drivers can DO WHATEVER THEY WANT without penalty, and the marshals WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. So, if you want to drive a bumper car, this might be the place for you. In conclusion, if the SAFETY OF DRIVERS is NOT the priority at a track, then it is NOT WORTH RACING HERE. Showed up on Tuesday night with a group of 8 for the buy 2 get 1 free deal. Was my first time at this location so didn't know what to expect. There was practically no wait on a Tuesday night. Waited maybe 5 to 10 mins before our first race. From then on, they just had us on every other race. We didn't even have time in between our races before they assigned us to our cars. But not sure why, because they would just have us in our cars super early and have us sit there for a good 10 mins in the karts so our group barely talked while we were there. read more

My first time here and it was a lot of fun. The check-in was seamless and we were basically had safety instructions, track rules, helmet and we were in the pit lanes within 15 minutes. The cars are pretty darn fast and the track was well laid out. The cost was reasonable and you get a lot of laps. I will definitely repeat. read more

Review is for my 11 year olds birthday party we had here last week. Firstly took weeks to speak to a person using the number on their website to even book the party. In the end we drove to the location more than an hour away just to book the party. You really cannot get a person on the line. The day of the event, they messed up number of races. There is no communication between head office and locations and they keep messing things up. They didn't know what formations were. The guys on the track messed up lap times for the kids on the screen. After the race ended the kids started arguing about the ranks. A terrible thing for a birthday party. When the race ends we go to the party room left with two baskets of limp tenters and three pizzas of which two are burned. Napkins and cutlery is restaurant style. Filthy black table covers. My husband and I keep running to the front to get ketchup, water, drinks.. none of which is provided in the "party room" We then complain about the burnt pizza and they make us two great ones after making the kids wait with empty plates in front of them. At least another 20mins. Never again, pls do ruin your party by hanging it here. Places are understaffed due to Covid and we are understanding about the current situation but the customer service at this place was a joke from Start to finish. Never again. I have been a customer for more than 7 years. I cam le today with my two sons for a birthday. We bought 2 races. In the first race one of my sons' car was not working properly. So, they switch it for him in the last 2 laps. I thought they will make it for us. I was surprised that they count on us. I Spoke with guys they refuse to make it. Took my nieces and nephews here to race. They definitely liked racing, but a few of them told me to "give this place a bad review" on a couple of points. They know I review things and it was kind of funny to have them tell me that. I agree with what they thought as well and we think 3 stars is enough for this place. First, it's in a weird spot. It's in an industrial / trucking warehouse building. There is a sign out front, but you have to drive all the way around the back - and I mean all around to the other side of the building before you see the entrance. They open at 12 - we got there at 11:30 and it was open which was good - we could wait inside and not out in the heat. The guy said they don't open until 12 but we could wait which was fine by us. The place looks nice enough - it's big and clean. They had no food while we were there which was fine - we didn't plan on eating here. I think they just have hot dogs and pretzels but nothing was cooking when we were there. It is stupidly expensive. Online they give you a price for races, but they DON'T tell you that if it's your first time going there, you HAVE to have a "membership" for each kid racing. It's stupid - we just wanted to race and didn't want any of that but there's no avoiding it. So just be prepared to spend a LOT of money here. There are 2 tracks here, but you only race on 1. One track is for little kids, with smaller cars that don't move as fast. The other track is for older kids/adults with larger/faster cars. We did the adult track. The kids that work here - and really, they're just young boys, barely train you and very much enjoy yelling at you. We got helmets and were told which number car was ours. They didn't tell us to sit in them, so we all stood at the cars assigned to us. They YELLED at us to "SIT DOWN SIT DOWN!!!!" You don't get told how to use the seat belts, which was fine - I figured it out - but I had kids with me - one of whom was special needs so it was a little frightening for him. Racing is pretty intense. Those cars MOVE. We all liked the racing, but you get hit a lot, and can hit walls. The boys working here have the ability to slow or stop all cars at once which happens a lot. If someone in the race is hitting someone a lot or drifting a lot, they slow the cars, go yell at that kid, then turn it all back on. You cannot hear a single thing they say or yell with those helmets on, and they yell A LOT. We got gyped one race - my one nephew was counting laps - he lapped everyone and saw they stopped the race after he hit his 12th lap, but were were all on our 11th. They just a checkered flag for "last lap" but that really means last lap for whoever is in first. Meaning, I see that flag, thinking I have 1 more lap, but then they slow all cars down, and I move extremely slowly until the end where I park the car. A wicked downer. We did three races and our third race was our best. We all figured out the gas/brake thing and a little drifting, etc. You get printed sheets with your metrics and times on it. We did two races, then had to wait 25 minutes to race our third. This place, it's hard knowing when you'll race because they have to figure it out based on whoever is there wanting to race. We also had some hard-core guys with their own helmets race with us which was weird. I was with kids who wanted to race, not get checked by motorheads. The kids still enjoyed the racing but they all said the customer service needed help. I don't like how extremely expensive it is, and the kids didn't like the attitude of the boys working here. If you go, plan on spending a lot of money and time here. And plan on getting yelled at a lot. read more

They expect you to show up and wait for hours with barely anything to do as they do not allow prebooking. Not even a bar. Small snack stand and small "arcade". We were told you can prebook for a group of 8. So, we tried to book "oh sorry we don't do pre booking same day" Stupid annoying and not worth it. read more

This place was a lot of fun. Only problem is the waiting time and the rides do seem to go super fast. The price too is pretty expensive so be prepared to be charged and arm and a leg. My bf gathered a few of my close friends and booked a reservations here for my birthday as a surprised. We had a really good time! If you're an adrenaline junkie like me, you should make this as one of your item on your bucket list. We did 2 races on track 1 (usually for adults) for about 10 minutes each, 14 laps. Cars are electrically operated. The cars are super fast and tracks are narrowed and challenging. Steering wheel are tight so it's hard to make sharp turns. Speaking from someone who dropped her phone on the first race and got t-boned on the second race, please be careful! I might have injured my neck a little. =/ You sign your life away so don't even bother suing. If I ever feel the need for speed, I probably will go here! read more

Our group of 4 experienced, returning kart drivers got put in two races with 5-6 beginners and had nearly the entire race at half power. Another heat only had 3 drivers at full power the entire race. Asked staff why we couldn't have full power the whole race, or be put in a separate race with intermediate or advanced drivers and they said it was not possible. Told us to come back and it would be better next time... sure, we'll be back real soon. Save your money and mental well-being by staying home or better yet go to Supercharged karts in Wrentham, MA. I read a lot of the reviews before I actually came here and some have some good points but here in Boston they really looked at what people had to say and fixed it. 1 a lot of people complained about how there was no clear instructions so there is a sheet you are given before you can race that goes over everything from controlling the karts,All the flags, seatbelt and more. All the reviews I saw were from 2-5 months ago and when I went i had none of those problems K1 actually cares about their guests!.2 The speed, The speed on the karts aren't slow they start a pace speed and then after everyone is on track and ready it's full speed ahead. 3 Workers, The workers all seemed a little unhappy besides one guy that was always smiling and ready to help anyone and a smile goes along way. 4 You will most of the time be placed in with just the people you signed in with for me that was me and my dad but if there is another small group of 1-3 they can be put in the race as well which in my opinion is more fun with more people but good drivers may not just cause of some new racers getting slow 30s lap times. 5 The wait time, The wait is the main problem and one of the most hated things in the reviews but you have to think about other people and how they want to race as well so they try there best to get people out but sometimes that means u must keep a group out until the race is over which is normally 15~ minutes. 6 track. The two tracks at K1 are the junior track and the adult track . I went on the adult track so I can't say anything about junior but at the same time it's a junior track so not much needs to be said but the adult track was definitely fun but it could have been better like if there was a better straight away or along the lines of getting more speed cause all u do is hit peddle and you are already slowing down. It's hard to make this better because of the junior track but also how much room the chargers and where the karts go. 7 Cart conditions, The carts seem to be maintained pretty well, but there are karts that wobble all over the place but I have yet to see a cart that is so bad that it gives a big disadvantage and if there is then it gets fixed on the side. Over all K1 speed was vary fun and only got better after every race. If you plan on going here plan of spending some money and time here. The only reason it's not a 5 star is because of the workers and some wait time. The food didn't look the worst but not the best, I did not eat, but if you want to have fun definitely come to K1 speed you will not regret it. Vary good for kid party's and etc. For the motor heads that are all race I would suggest monza in Foxboro just because the track is much better and karts are newer and seem a little faster or just as fast but it's a little more pricey and takes more time. I am not calling K1 a bad Go karting place it's just that there is a better track not to far away but for the size of the building K1 definitely did amazing but Monza is in a casino so It's a little hard to compare to that I loved K1 WILL COME AGAIN. read more

I have visited K1 Speed a couple of times. There are a few things to consider: 1. There are two tracks, one for kids, one for adults. You can't race against your kid, but you can watch and encourage them from near the track. 2. The cars are electric, which is really nice as there are no gasoline fumes and no exposure to carbon monoxide. They are plenty fast. I think they are about the same speed as carts with gasoline engines. 3. Try to go with a group you want to race with. Otherwise you'll get put in a group that may be faster or slower than you. I have a lot of experience with karting and it's not much fun when you're constantly lapping less experienced drivers. 4. This is not a cheap way to spend an hour but it is really fun. The Groupon is okay but there are blackout dates, rules, etc. Don't buy it if you already have a membership for the year. Check it out! read more

Second, My barbecue chicken tenders were pink in the middle. And lastly, It took about 30 minutes. This play was so fabulous. We got there at around 3 o'clock pm and I was with my good pals Tyler barns n nobles Joshua Alaska and niQ hornitos. The service was impeccable and we got a race in right away. Then I beat everyone at basketball in their super awesome arcade. However, things took a turn(literally) when my good buddy almost KILLED me and ran into me full speed on the track. I almost saw the light and went to another world. 60$ were stolen from me by the manager of this place, I paid 91$ for my kids to play 2 races and they were removed from the first race as they didn't know how to drive like F1 drivers ( as expected from 7 years old). And they refunded me with only 35$. And he said your kids interred the race and I can't refund you for it. And the 8$ membership he can't refund it to. At last make sure before bringing your kids that they are body builders and know how to drive a F1 car like men.
