After their last race they did metals for 1st-3rd place.
Tiffany N.

This is for large party only. We recently just threw our son a birthday party here. There are some pros&cons. Pros: 1:Restroom are clean at least for the women im unsure about the men. There is a changing station for the littles. 2: it's air conditioned. The only hot part in there was where the race track was otherwise everything else is air conditioned including the private rooms for parties. 3: there's a large Tv and you have the option to play your own music or put anything else on. 4: there's an arcade at least when we were there it was all working. 5: they do sell alcohol however there's a section you have to stay in and you can not leave your alcohol beverage unattended. 6: they also sell snacks. I'm unsure if they sell food to individuals. 7: I had no issue with any of the staff. 8: at the end they do metals which the kids loved. They only did to 3rd place. Cons: 1: you aren't allowed to bring outside food or beverages. You can bring an outside cake though. Definitely be mindful of the length of the cake because if it's too tall they won't be able to refrigerate it. However, I did mention they have air conditioned private rooms so what I did was closed the door. And it kept it cool in there which prevent our cake from falling apart. The cake indeed stayed in tact till the end of the party. 2: party host are given a ticket to the children. That ticket is one free drink. Keep in mind kids get thirsty especially if they are running around and racing. By the time they were finished with their second race. Their drinks were obviously finished. So I felt bad that the parents had to buy additional drinks. 3: when my guest were trying to check in to do their waiver. It was a glitch on the system because the group event wasn't populating so the guest had to sign the waiver as an arrive & drive which kind of held up everything. You have to let the employee know so they can link the signed waiver to your group. Helpful tips for parents who decide to throw their kids birthday there 1. Make sure everyone signs the waiver in advance. That would have saved us a lot of time. 2. Makes sure everyone is on time because you can not race until your whole party is there. 3. Also refrained from confetti or glitter nothing messy. They will charge a cleaning fee and they will let you know 4. They do 1 race and then maybe a 30 min interval. To let the carts charge and the kids just played in the arcades. Then they will call out your whole party by name to race for the second time. 5. When you inquire about your party and you put in your deposit don't forget to order your food. They give you 7 days prior to the party date to order. If we would have just went just on a random day. My review would have been different. I just think that when you are hosting you should be able to take care of everyone. That includes making sure the parents had drinks too and if the children wanting more drinks especially when it was time to eat.

We went here for the first time. Atmosphere was nice, pricing was decent. I had never driven a go kart before whereas my husband had. They're super quick in the run down they give you on the controls / flags / etc which made it kind of confusing for first timers. Least favorite part was parties are all mingled together which makes it somewhat difficult regarding experience level. Newbies get thrown into the track with experienced drivers that frequent K1-making it to where the first timers perpetually get in the way. Was definitely a fun experience, would've been more fun if they took the time to walk inexperienced drivers through the controls a bit more/give pointers on what part of the track to camp in to avoid getting in the way of the experienced drivers, or even just split up experience level. We'd go back again for birthday or something.

Ready to go!

EXPENSIVE BUT FUN TIME! I came on a Sunday afternoon and me and my date got 3 races each. The total was around ~$140! We only had to wait around 15 minutes for our first race to begin. After that race, we were called up again almost immediately for the next 2 races too! The go karts go pretty fast, it's so exhilarating! I wasn't very good at it, but had lots of fun. If there are any crashes or other safety issues, all of the karts automatically slow down and stop. After each race they email you statistics that show how you ranked against the other racers! Due to the price, this isn't something I would do often, but I'd definitely come again sometime!

Son had an Amazing time for his 11th Birthday! He had the whole track to himself!! All the staff were super helpful and polite! Definitely will be back to K1!

Unfortunately, on check-in no explanation about the activities was given so we were on our own trying to figure it out. Overall, the entertainment options are fun and we had a great time! The employees are hit or miss. Some are not very friendly or helpful and some are. Colton needs to be recognized because once he took over helping us with the attractions our experience went from 3 to 5 stars. He explained everything thoroughly to us, helped me choose which would be best for having motion sickness, and overall just made our experience very enjoyable by paying attention to small details. It seems they were operating on a skeleton crew this day. We sat and tried to order food and there was only one server for everyone. Needless to say, it took quite a while to be able to even place an order. The go-kart experience runs like a well oiled machine and was probably the smoothest experience we had out of everything there. Overall we had a ton of fun, but this place really needs to work on training their employees for better customer service and experience.

The area is huge with tons of arcade games. The racing was fun although it was hard to know when it was starting. The safety brief/orientation was a minimum. It was hard to hear the staff especially with our helmets on. Also did not like that they used our full government name for the leaderboard (especially bc this was sent via email)- would've liked the option for an alias or just first names. The VR game was very immersive (reminded me of Disney's VOID but scaled down). The racing simulator and 7D experience was just ok. Waiting for attractions, there would be either no staff to help (and you're waiting in line for nothing) or an over abundance of staff hanging around.

The bowling concept is the same except I didn't need my bowling shoes that I brought and the balls were palm sized with no holes. I especially enjoyed the Pinpix theme which creates a facial features and crazy accessories. The only thing that was missing was music. We got there when they first opened at 10am and we were the only ones in the bowling area so it was quiet. The staff was really helpful and explained how everything worked. Nothing kills an experience at a place like this faster than long wait times. First the go karts. They are a lot of fun. The kids had a blast and so did I. We were able to get race times within 30 minutes of when we arrived, which was great. There are a ton of arcade games, plenty to keep them entertained. When it came to the other attractions like laser tag, etc. they were not staffed. I had to go to the front desk and ask if they could send someone over to operate the attractions. So we still waited even though there weren't many people, maybe 12 or 15 cars in the parking lot at most. They have a help wanted sign out front so maybe they're just having a hard time staffing this place. We purchased the winter gold package. Two races, 3-attractions and $25 in game tokens for $95 per person. A good value in my opinion, however I wish we were able to use the attractions without waiting for an employee. We got right into laser tag within a couple minutes, but the 7D experience. We waited over 25 minutes and we were the only people in line for it. That is a fun one. All in all, we had fun. The weather was perfect but it would be a lot to eat in the car during the hot summer. I feel like there was a lot of variety of things to do for the age difference of my kids. My main issue was with the flooring of the entire park. I'd like to see them do something to make the sidewalk more comfortable for the 99% of people who are walking around barefoot. All of our feet hurt from walking around on the really hard concrete. I guess I'd recommend you wear water shoes if you have them. We used a Get Out Pass and the whole process was seamless. It's worth getting because just a trip to Sunsplash is pretty much the same price as a Get Out Pass and you get so much out of it. I don't know if I'd go again because the cost is pretty high.

The rental spaces are great, though the catered food was nothing special (hamburgers and hot dogs). All in all, it was still a fun event and you can count on me being in the lazy river if visiting Sunsplash!

When we met with the GM, Matt, he opened by repeating that we were 'late' and that there was nothing he could do. When I tried to clarify that the email said arrival 10 minutes early was a recommendation (not a requirement), the conversation stayed argumentative rather than de-escalated. As a GM, that was disappointing to experience. We were on a time crunch and asked if we could join a later session instead, and if not, we preferred a refund. We were only offered a voucher. I also requested a simple statement confirming our check-in time (2:58 PM), and he refused to provide anything in writing. Overall, this was a frustrating experience and the customer service was poor. I'd strongly recommend leadership/customer service training and clearer policies communicated to customers.

My son was second in line driving up the ramp when a ride operator shut off power mid-ramp for no legitimate reason. When power was cut, the kart lost braking capability -- the brakes are electrically operated -- and rolled backward down the ramp into a wall. This entire incident is on video. When confronted, the operator admitted he shut the power off because he "thought the kart was already at the top." It wasn't. This was not equipment failure. It was operator negligence. Yes, we signed the waiver -- because parents are required to. A waiver does not excuse cutting power to moving vehicles or operating an attraction where a child instantly loses the ability to stop if an employee makes a mistake. That's not assumed risk. That's reckless operation and a fundamentally unsafe setup. My son followed instructions and attempted to brake. The brakes did nothing once power was cut. Staff response afterward was unacceptable: an ice pack, paperwork, and managers who didn't witness the incident and couldn't explain what happened. No urgency. No accountability. Urban Air markets itself as family-friendly. There is nothing family-friendly about employees guessing with controls while children are on a ramp in go-karts. This was entirely preventable. Parents: do not assume this place is safe. Especially the go-karts.

Now my buddy this man reaches into his pocket and pulls out what I can only describe as a historical artifact. I'm talking a doobie so big it looked like Bob Marley himself rolled it during a greatest hits tour. I said, "Absolutely not. I am a grown man. I got responsibilities. I got a mortgage. I got snacks at home I haven't even finished yet." That didn't matter. Next thing I know, windows are up, car turns into a Dutch oven of bad decisions, and now I'm just along for the ride literally and spiritually. Somewhere between "this is a bad idea" and "why is everything funny," I lost control of the evening. We pull into the park around that magical time you know, that in-between hour... not quite day, not quite night... like God dimmed the lights and said, "Alright boys, let's see what happens." The whole place is glowing neon lights, arcade buzz, roller coasters rattling in the distance. Felt like walking into a carnival dream... or maybe a fever dream. Jury's still out. Now here's the thing about this place it's been around since the late '70s, sitting right there in Phoenix like a desert time capsule of fun. You got four roller coasters, including the Desert Storm, which sounds fun until you're on it reconsidering every life choice that led you there. Then there's the Patriot wooden, loud, and about as gentle as a bar fight. And somehow... SOMEHOW... we thought tequila beforehand was a good idea. So now we're buzzed, slightly baked against our will, and wandering this park like three philosophers who lost their notes. We're laughing at everything. Nothing's funny but everything's hilarious. A trash can? Comedy gold. A churro? Best thing I've ever eaten in my life. A child running past me? I'm emotionally invested in his journey. But I'll give credit where it's due the park itself? Clean. Staff's friendly. Nobody's judging three grown men giggling like idiots. It's got that old-school charm too arcades, mini golf, rides, the whole deal. You can bring a family here... or whatever version of a situation we were. Now the rides... oh, the rides. Let me tell you something nothing will make you rediscover fear like being slightly out of your mind on a roller coaster you thought you could handle. I got scared... not once... not twice... but a few times. The kind of scared where you start making promises to God you don't intend to keep. "I'll be a better man if I survive this drop..." Didn't mean a word of it. By the end of the night, we had the munchies, the laughs, and just enough dignity left to get back to the car without needing a group meeting. For a couple hours, though? We were kids again. No responsibilities. No stress. Just lights, noise, and pure, ridiculous fun. So yeah Castles N' Coasters might be a family amusement park... but under the right or completely wrong circumstances, it turns into one hell of a story. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Just... maybe crack a window on the way there.

It was on someone else's dime, but I guess that counts, too. We got nachos and drinks from the snack bar. Service was quick. As with any family fun event center, food was a bit overpriced. The female bathroom was nasty. I don't know how often they clean them, but there was paper all over the stall floor. The faucets had a lot of buildup on them. Both the male and female restrooms smelled funky. I didn't play at the putt putt section, but one day I'll be back to do that. Overall, a good arcade/food experience.
