We had so much fun racing tonight! Dani helped us prepare for our race and had the best customer service! The whole process was so streamlined/organized. We'll be back! read more

It was my friend's birthday and we decided to go to k1 and we were greeted with a FOUR hour waiting time for one race when we saw several groups do three races DO NOT GO HERE the staff act like it's there first day and the race itself was mediocre read more

The service is great. The employees are always awesome to my kids. That's not always the case where businesses tend to have younger employees, but these guys are great! The management and the ladies at the front, always help out, and the guys that run the races answer my kids many questions without seeming annoyed. We come here often and always bring friends! read more

K1 Speed Phoenix - Number 1!! - Go Karts Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

The staff is not the most helpful at the front counter, but the the people on the inside were great. The other guests can be annoying when they don't read the giant sign that tells them when the staff is telling them to let you pass, but I can't hold that against K1. They may want to go over all the flags before each race. I went a few says ago, and my adrenaline was pumping the entire time! read more

Came here this afternoon with my family because we had a gift certificate from a few years ago. At 4:30 pm we were told that he could get us in at 7:30pm so we decided to bite the bullet and I went back with my sisters tonight. While checking in, no one welcomed us and as first timers it was very confusing to understand where to go. We had to ask a few people where to go but ended up in the right spot. After everyone got into their carts and a 15 second lesson on flags the entire session had to switch carts. After getting on the track is where the real problems started. Multiple carts had issues and we had to keep stopping which resulted in max 2 laps without a few minutes of a cart switch out or getting fixed. At one point a women's cart stopped in the middle of the track and my 14 y/o sister tried to stop but inevitably ran right into her. After the most stop and go race I have ever witnessed we found out that the woman placed a formal complaint that my sister ran into her "on purpose". After the session ended, the following party had cancelled so we were able to get right back in the carts and were on our second race. That race went a little smoother but near the 8th lap my other sister was turning and the kid behind her was going so fast that he ran over her cart and his tire was touching her hand. She ended up with an injured wrist and unable to finish the race, but the kid behind her who I overheard had received multiple warnings for reckless driving was able to finish his race. Some employees were nice but overall it was an awful experience besides the actual racing. read more

So, my first review was deleted from this site. We left because of their terrible customer service. Long story short, my husband and I met up with my parents in Phoenix and thought we'd give this a try. We were told two different wait times from two cashiers ranging from 30 mins to two hours.. My dad went up to a cashier and asked why there were two different times and she put her finger in his face and told him he needed to listen to her and stop talking. Needless to say we left. My husband went back in to get her name and she grabed her name tag and refused to give it to him. If you plan on going there, expect to leave in a bad mood. read more

A very lovely staff!! The environment is welcoming and the manager Steve was super friendly. He coached me on how to get a faster lap and I improved over all 3 races. Definitely made me want to buy more races. The cashiers and track staff were all very nice, unfortunately I did not get any of their names :( I would give my overall experience a 10/10 and would 100% visit again. read more

I took my son and some friends and they had a blast. We went on a Friday around 4 and they were the only ones racing. The service was great! One of the kids we brought was here for the first time. The guy that taught them how to use the car was great with him. He even helped the kids get their helmets off. Whenever we take a first timer they make sure they are comfortable. It seems like the employees really like their jobs and are conscientious about safety! We will definitely be back. Next time I am racing! read more

K1 Speed Phoenix - Fun times at K1 Speed - Go Karts Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I love K1 speed. I've been going to this one for over a year now and have even been to the one in Houston. I just love karting. I'm used to the idiosyncrasies, so they don't bother me anymore. But here are some keys. 1. They're always busy on the weekend, so don't go thinking you're going to get in and out. When you go to K1, you're going to need some time. 2. The staff has gotten good at making verbal announcements to help the newbies understand the process, but if you come in between announcements, it is not intuitive. 3. Check groupon before you go to see if there is a deal available. They do run local specials and also have coupons in some of the entertainment books, so you can get a good deal if you try. But if you go in cold, you're going to pay. Once you know and learn those keys, you'll be ready for the karting experience of your life. read more

This place has lots of good things going for it. Easy checkin nice equipment, friendly staff. Thanks For a great time. read more

Can I give zero stars? I came here with my two younger siblings for a fun day out. During our second race I attempted to brake, but the brake screw was undone and I had no option but crash full speed into the wall. The employees rushed over and saw that the screw was fully unattached. It's highly upsetting that the brake, one of the most important parts of the vehicle and the driver's main safety feature, wasn't examined before the race. I was lucky that I was able to finish the race and walk away, but another participant may not have been so lucky. This place is being run by young kids with no concern for safety. It's run down, expensive, and unsafe. I reached out to the company as well as corporate and have yet to get a response. Which is unbelievable considering I had a full on collision I could not avoid due to their negligence. Do not give them your business or you may get seriously injured! Robert K. read more

Went for go karts & that was fun to watch & do! They need more arcade type games for your wait time We bought a 3 race package, but i had check in deal on Yelp for buy 2 get 1! You race 14 laps, then get out & next set of ppl race, then its ur turn again, etc So it took over 2 hrs. Hence the need for more gaming Good if u can get a deal Outta the way kinda place too Clean & orderly Guys superv tracks knew their stuff read more

Went to K1 Speed with three other people. Signing up was very easy but the carts are extremely unsafe. A member of our parties cart brakes failed and her cart collided with another racers and mounted on top of another women's neck. The staff had to lift the cart off of the other women's body so she could be freed. A staff member admitted that he saw her carts brake fail (stomped on the brakes without deceleration). We left after the women in our party had serious bruises. We decided to return a few days later in hope of a better experience but our last race ended up only lasting 6 out of the 13 laps because of cart failures. A serious disappointment especially for the high price we paid to race. read more

Absolutely the worst experience of my life. We bought two rounds then the employee told us we had to leave after the first round because drove "too fast" but we were given no warning to slow down. Nevertheless we never got our money back for the second game that we didn't even get to race in. An absolute joke. I will never be going to another K1 speed again read more

It's very hard to celebrate a boys 10th Bday, because of the age. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out where to host this party, but most were too child-like. K1 was the final choice, and it was absolutely perfect. Every mother at the event shared their similar amazement with me, and spoke of hosting their next event here. Jake Guzman was the manager on duty, and he was assigned to our party. He was extremely attentive, and made good on every single request I made (could my son go first in the race? Could you get more napkins? Etc.) The entire event was costly, but they provided so much to us that it was worth every penny. Every child got a drink from their cafe, which was a solid 12 - 16 oz canned or bottled beverages of their choice. Each kid got their own T-shirt, too. They brought up pizzas for us, and provided plates, napkins, and cake knives/utensils. There was an entire room dedicated to us, split into two: one side had windows overlooking the track, the other had a widescreen TV with tables. Once I got there, someone took all the gift bags we'd brought and secured it for us in the back of the cafe. They got all the gifts set up on a table in our room, too. Each racer was given detailed instructions on how to drive and follow their flag system, and they have medals to the winners (top three). Everyone got a certificate detailing their times and places, and there was a ceremony reviewing the results at the end with a winners platform. They even took pictures for me and emailed them to me - which I received on the ride home! Quick! Everyone was so incredibly friendly at this place, and I had fun, spontaneous, casual convos with workers NOT assigned to my party during the races. If there were a wreck (& with kids in carts, there will be accidents), the ENTIRE track came to a screeching halt. I saw five or more workers enter the track to check on the accident, and make sure the kids nerves weren't frayed (in such a safe way!) I was so surprised by the degree of perfection we got out of this event. From the moment I scheduled it, to the reminder a day prior, to actual execution. I cannot recommend this place any higher, and am disappointed that my word choices aren't reflecting the awesomeness sufficiently. A+++! read more

We had to wait twice as long as we were initially told for our first race. We were told that it is customary to have to also wait for 3 races in between your races to allow for rest. Bring a game for the wait cause most of theirs seem to be broken. For our second race we were told it was an adult race but they mixed in young kids who stopped the race 4 times, once for a few minutes, no extra time was added. This was also unsafe for the drivers as the adults went full boar, ramming into kids expecting them to be handling more like adults. Eventually we figured it out and took it easy, but it really detracted from the experience. When you pay $22 per 8 minute race I guess I expected to at least get the full 8 minutes. We will go back to Octane next time, even though they are more expensive. read more

Before you read this review know its based only on the customer service of the bitter 17-22 year old gal at the front desk. I found this place on Groupon. I had actually wanted to hit the Coyote game. BUT, I knew my husband (who travels from work and we hadn't had a date night since JULY) would LOVE this!! Yay! We're doing this! So, I purchase the Groupon (without reading the fine print... YES. YES. MY FAULT. WELL AWARE)... Here we go. We leave the kids with my parents, it's a date! And, we are going to do something we have never done!! It's going to be worth the 45 minute drive!! We pull up, get even more excited, and head in. The bitter little sweetheart at the front asked us what we wanted to do, I said, oh we have the Groupon! NOPE. So, I continue to discuss with my hubs. What are we going to do? Spend $100 (YES THATS RIGHT) on 2 races for each of us? Plus, the $50 on Groupon for which I don't know if I can get my money back. The girl at the desk says, well, you can come back. I say, we are here on vacation from out of town. She says "oh". Awesome. Wow. Needless to say, we left. And, drove the 45 minutes back. Realistically, we could have been accommodated. EASILY! The correct answer would have been "Let me get my manager" with an ear to ear smile. There is a bright side... Groupon has a fab concept of customer service. Even though I opened the voucher, they refunded my money. Which I was very grateful for! So, lessons learned. Always stick with the Coyotes! And, this place is... Well... UGH. Oh... If you're going just call and double check. Or don't. I'm bitter and grossed out by the lack of good customer service. Apparently... So are others **coughs** 3 stars. read more

Super disheartened. Came here for my birthday 11/27 with my family and signed up for two races. After the first race I watched the employees have us place our helmets in the "need to be sanitized" area. I watched them not sanitize the helmets then move them to the "clean" helmet area. WE'RE IN A PANDEMIC... do/be better! read more

If you go here, you will have fun. The price to have that fun however will be high. The cashiers at the front immediately start pushing their race packages. You will be guilted into at least 3 races. The atmosphere is fun to look at, and they are very efficient at getting through the races. Not all cars are created equal though. If you get stuck with an slower car, you will have at least a few laps to reflect on why you dropped $50 to watch everyone pass you in a go kart. read more

I see why there isn't as much of a wait here than other places... I came here for my boyfriend's birthday and I was kicked out of the game two laps before it ended. I've raced here multiple times before during the week with no problem, but maybe it was because we were here on a Saturday... either way, I don't want to pay $50 to be slowed down to 3 mph. Good luck K1 read more

We arrived right when they opened, on a Monday. We were able to start racing right away. My boys did get skipped for almost a full hour for their last race, which was frustrating. The cafe was being ran by one employee, he was very friendly and helpful. He made the visit extremely enjoyable. My boys had a lot of fun and that is all that matters. read more

A little pricy but definitely worth the experience! The fact they track your scores is a nice touch. Make sure to wash your headsock after each visit though read more

This place was cool the girl in the front that was helping us paying for our stuff was super nice !! And the racing wasn't that fun the karts would stop just for little things so it was eh that's why I give a 4 star also very pricey read more

Racing the karts is fun. The kart I was in broke down after two laps. After they stopped everyone and got me a new one the next one broke down again at the very end. When I went to speak with the manager he was not very sympathetic or friendly. Even though I was being very nice in my complaint he made excuses then only gave me a free race when I asked and was not apologetic at all. I was very unimpressed with he customer service. Having to wait nearly an hour for a ten minute race was also kind of a let down. read more

We had our sons 14th birthday party here. It was a great experience. Our host Jonathan was really great and patient with a rowdy group of teenage boys. They had a good time and where talking about their scores and crashes the whole way home. It was a Saturday so it was very busy, but that would be the only negative thing I can say. read more

K1 Speed Phoenix - Go Karts Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

The wheel fell off my brothers cart, right in front of me. Sparks flying, very dangerous!!! Asked for another race and was told no, by Morning manager Liam. Should have asked for a refund, seems unlikely when they wouldn't give you another race. WHEN I ASKED HOW OFTEN THE WHEEL FALLS OFF THEY WOULDN'T ANSWER ME. It fell off at full speed!! You take your safety into your own hands here. They absolve themselves of liabilty. Just glad nothing happened. If cart had flipped could have been very different outcome. read more

Love this place it is so fun and I love it good place to go on a date or just to have fun with the family

This is one of my sons favorite places to come, Always a great time. Good service, great employees and all around a good time.

My first cart was really bad and had a really bad delay but the second one was all I needed. It was so much fun and totally recommend.

This was a lot of fun but man it was pricey. Our family of four (8 and 10) cost over $200 for an evening of racing. It's all about the experiences though right? Lots of fun memories and new skills read more

Would give 0 stars if I could, considering my two friends and I waited 3 hours and never got to race!!! We watched other parties go multiple times on the karts, sometimes even with space to let other people join their races. After we waited 3 hours, we decided not to wait any longer because we were told it might be another hour. Then we went to get refunds, a manager then told us they could bump us up and get into a race in 30 minutes, we declined. They weren't even able to give us a 100% refund. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK! read more

Wife and I went and enjoyed it. Pretty fun place. Pool table to play while waiting. I'll definitely be stopping by again. $50 for Three races. Pretty fun. read more

Decided to do go kart racing for my friend's birthday. It's pricey but luckily he got a special rate for his b-day. They told us it was going to be a 2 hour wait due to a birthday party, but it was maybe 45 minutes. There were 4 of us on the track together and I came in 4th place. My best time was lap 9 of 14. I got progressively quicker for laps 1-9. I think I would have liked some practice laps to get familiar with the track. I am having some unexpected soreness the day after. While I am glad we went (we've been talking about it for years), I don't have a strong desire to return. read more

This place is highly over-priced. You pay $30 for 1 single race which lasts approximately 7-8 minutes. They force you to buy an annual membership. When I informed the girl at the register that we don't live here and don't want one, she basically shrugged her shoulders and could care less. This is a waste of money! read more

We have been coming to K1 for about a year and love it! It is a great place for kids and adults to enjoy the speed of the track and enjoy life! The staff there is excellent! Always willing to help and make sure you have a good experience! And the staff connects so well with the kids that it makes them want to keep coming back! AND they are making some awesome changes to make it an even better experience! I have recommended K1 to many and will keep doing so! Lyam, Tony, Sam, Ish, Esmerelda, Veronica, Monica and all the rest of the staff are awesome! read more

Last week we visited K1 Speed as a group of 7 for a party. We didn't meet the minimum requirement of 8 for a private event, but that doesn't qualify you for any type of savings, as is. I visited the Speedway may times before K1 Speed took over operations and I'm glad they did. The facilities have been somewhat remodeled and the technology improved greatly. Instead of a few staffers in dirty T-shirts roaming around, there's a full staff of skilled folk keeping the wheels of the machine greased. The karts are now electric, which is a huge improvement. Great response, near instant torque mitigates the weight of those of us in the 230lb category. The prices are high and they don't offer Enduro racing, but that doesn't limit the fun. Scores are reported online (when the system works) and you can track your improvements over time. There is one great detractor and will limit my attendance in the future. When we arrived we were told there would be a wait of 1:30-2:00 which is incredible considering races are less than 8 minutes long. We waited 1:15, which was the limit of our patience, but there's really no way of telling what things look like before you arrive. Calling ahead helps little because they want to direct you to automated options so I would suggest going during off times and weekdays to avoid a long wait. The price is pretty steep for an 8min race, but buying races in bulk ahead of time does help. It's a great place for kids to race, as long as they're over 48" high. read more

This place is awesome. Carts are quick. Especially 13. Alex was even so nice as to show us the best lines for quick laps. read more

I'd give this place 5 stars if it wasn't so expensive‍. My daughter and I go about once a month. It's always a good time if it's not super busy. The track can get congested on busy days so you can't get up to the top speed which makes the price of the race harder to live with. read more

You ever go to a place of business and have the employees treat you like shit! Welcome to K1 Most unorganized place ever. Races are a joke! No education on the karts.
