I was extremely impressed with the K1 Speed facility in Medley, Florida. We brought my nephew here so he could race for his birthday. I wish something like this existed when I was growing up in Miami in the 80s and early 90s. In addition, the staff was amazing. Anthony, was helpful when we were checking. EmilyCK was very polite when we were ordering food. Yohan took time out to explain some of the flags to me even though I was watching as opposed to racing. And, Charlie, the GM, was very personable and made time to talk with those who were watching the races. Overall, it was a really great experience. Went there with for a group celebration. We had ordered food as well, which was of such bad quality, we could not eat it. Then they were so unorganized, it took us so long to actually do the racing. Which itself was so quick that we spend about two thirds of our time waiting. Then it's hard to actually enjoy it when people are hitting you and then they have to stop everyone in order to get things back in order. At the very least they should either have different tiers or not allow people to go as fast, as it's dangerous for everyone else. It's way too pricey for what they are offering, and also with traffic more than an hour from downtown, so really not worth it. read more

Had a reservation for 9:30pm. Took a full hour just to race, 30 minutes past my time. One computer wasn't working and the other didn't have our names on it. It took like 3 people to sign us in and we had to repeat our reservation time and names multiple times. When we finally got to our race and in the karts, there was a race going on and they kept stopping them. They had a blown tire and it took another 10 minutes for someone to get a kart. Then someone tried to pass another kart and they slowed EVERYONE down. Then something else happened and they stopped them again. When we finally got to the race itself- The entire thing is rigged. You think you race and pass each other by talent. It's not like that at all. Someone is controlling your kart and your top speed. And it's not like you bumped into someone or something and they penalize you. It's just based off the person controlling your kart and how they feel. You can feel the kart slowing down even if you keep your foot on the gas. Recommend going somewhere else. Besides the price, the experience was not worth it at all. We went on Memorial Day weekend for the first time ever and honestly, I was a little scared to go based on the reviews. Some people had horrible customer service. Some people had great. We arrived around noon and Luckily, we ended up having great customer service ! Everyone was super friendly and very helpful. It wasn't that packed and we were able to jump into multiple races. As expected the food wasn't that great but we were starving and needed to eat something. We found it very expensive just for one afternoon ($270 for 2 races each for a family of 4 - we probably spent over $ 300 bucks with food for about two hours of fun ). But it was still fun. maybe I'll look if they have Groupon or some kind of other deal in the future. It was expensive so we can't go back as often as we would like but it's definitely a great experience especially for the kids !! read more

We were here to celebrate my husband's birthday and JC a junior team member and Charlie the "manager" were extremely disrespectful and refused to help fix the problem and also said several insulting terms and belittling us. The only helpful person was Jeff, the other manager who was trying to actually help our group. Young lady was professional well spoken and great representative of the brand. 1 hr goes by and we were told just another 10 min, 20 mins we were told another 10 min. Come to find out Tito (Track Manager) you got a lot of work to do ,the guys working the track ,pick up and drop racers at their whim. Looks fun and cool, but I decided not to race and let my friends go race. I saw the carts weren't sanitized at all and people went in right after the other. Although you could wear a cloth on your head that they give you, I wouldn't feel safe putting the same helmet that people sweat in or have fungal scalp or illnesses. I'd rather be safe and clean. The food area has some decent food but it takes forever to be made. Mine took about 45 mins to be done. The arcade games are cool and fun, worth a try. read more

This place is a killer time for a group! I had never been to a K1 before but we booked it for a work event and it was a huge hit. The good: karts are actually pretty quick. Sometimes these fikser places can be a bit boring with slow carts and a small track. That is not the case here these little things move and the track is wide enough to make passes around the whole thing. Drinks and food prices. We had several pizzas, drinks and some other appetizers and legitimately had trouble getting to the tab work had given us for food. The scorecards. After every race you get a scorecard of everyone on the track, their rankings are not super transparent but they do give a best lap time which is cool to see. The mediocre, also the food. This place is not a restaurant so it's not really fair to judge them by that standard but I will say their pizza was compacted to chuck'e cheese pizza by more than one member of the group. Price of the gocarting is a bit high. It's a cool event but it's defiantly more expensive than top golf or bowling or other group outings. The bad. Nothing stood out as bad. You probably want to go with a group of 8-10 people but as long as you get a good group I can't see anyone having any legitimate complaints. read more

We have gone to the K1 in Tampa and the experience was entirely different. This location controlled the car speeds, not allowing the race to be based on actual technique. The person controlling the speeds purposely slowed down specific race cars based on my kids size (8/9 yrs old), while the other cars were flying and these kids were probably (10/11). When we went to management as the race was unfair, they did nothing in return. When clearly the facts were there. My kids average speed was 32 and the boy who was flying had an average of 26. While the race was going, you could see the struggle and delay while making turns even though her foot was pushing down completely on the gas. If you are looking for the kids to just drive around in circle, come here. But if you are trying to actually race with others, don't since the races are rigged and management does nothing to make things better. read more

My youngest was over the required 48 inches but was denied the ability to race due to management deeming him to small even though he's greater than 48 inches. Great place to bring the kids, or to simply have some fun and go fast! The place was very clean. They disinfect the helmets after every use and provide you with a head sock as part of your membership. There are two tracks and the wait is minimal. I had a blast here! Prices were kind of steep...2 laps for almost $100 which included a mandatory membership fee. My biggest complaint is we paid for 2 laps and I noticed we got out of one car only to be put in another that wasn't sanitized or cleaned after other users as they had just finished and we were told to get in. I also feel the speed is controlled. There's no possible way my car was going 45 mph. Staff were friendly and enforced rules which was a good thing because it's easy to crash. Tons and tons of fun! We came for my friend's birthday on a Wednesday at 8pm. We almost had the place to ourselves, not many other people were here. It was a total of four of us racing. We each did 3 races and enjoyed ourselves ($56). Unfortunately we felt let down because birthday boy's cars always had an issue (all 3 races). Perhaps cars needed testing/maintenance? Aside from that, the place seems great. There are two tracks, one adult (45mph) and one children (20mph). You can race around 8 people at once. Stopped in since it's been a while and we were the only ones there which was great!! We had both tracks to ourselves but stayed in the 1st one since it was the larger of the two and was more challenging with more turns. The carts are all in decent condition and aren't beat up. It seemed a little rocky when you begin running but once you're moving it's pretty smooth and they really take off. I hadn't been carting in a while and after several rounds I was able to place in the top 6 for the week; not bad for the amount of time I haven't been. I will definitely return very soon so I can hopefully place in the top 3 or better but it surely isn't easy. You need to find the right line and in many cases, the cart is flying by at really high speeds that boarder on complete chaos if you don't turn in at the right part of the apex and float the accelerator. They've got a really nice relaxing area in the back that has video games and a snack bar. They also have private rooms for meetings and parties. Staff was friendly and courteous. I scheduled a surprise party for my son Ethan on April 16th 2022 at the Medley, Florida location. I filled out the online form and requested the party for 12 noon. They contacted me the following day after having requested the party date/time and promptly proceeded to charge me the non-refundable deposit fee. The following day I realized due to several party guests schedules; I would need to change the party time to 7pm. I called the K1 call center several times, left several messages and never received a call back in regards to the attempt to change the party time. I also never received an email confirming my deposit, even though I did receive a charge on my credit card (YES I checked my spam). I finally was able to reach corporate in California and they confirmed my 7pm reservation. I had the person (I wish I had taken down his name) tell me my email just to make sure I would receive an email confirmation of my new 7pm time slot for my party. He repeated my email letter by letter to ensure accuracy but once again I did not receive a single email regarding my April 16th at 7pm surprise party rescheduling. I had to physically send my husband to the k1 party location to confirm my son's party was booked at 7pm. Fast forward to the day of the party and we arrive to find out the party was not scheduled until 8:30pm. This meant I could not set anything up until 8:30 p.m. Did I mention this was a surprise party which meant I had the guest arriving earlier than 7pm to not only sign waivers but to make sure the guest arrived before the birthday boy? Well I quickly text the guest about the change in time which at this point I can do nothing about. Most guest arrived at the initial party time but a few I was able to delay. The whole time I don't have a room to set up and I'm sitting at the front of the venue with party decorations, cake and at this point most of the guest. My son shows up and it's now 8:00pm and SURPRISE; we are all at the front of the venue!!! Still no room. So now we are all pretty much ready to race but still no room which is fine (not at all REALLY) given they had informed us when we got there of the schedule change (even though I called corporate several time to try to confirm the appropriate time). We are told as soon as the previous parties clear; we would be accommodated. Eight thirty rolls around and we proceed to enter a party room with a few straggling guests to try to set things up because we notice a few of the tables have been cleaned and refreshed with new linens. My son's party began preparing to race at 8:10 but did not start racing until 8:20pm. We set up the room at 8:30 as the one poor gal who is trying to help us is cleaning up the mess from the previous party. There is still trash and food from the previos party. Mind you the party schedule displayed to us clearly stated the last party would end at 7p.m. There is still no food even though they were well aware of our "8:30 party time". I had even added a few extra items as I was waiting there in hopes of having it ready for us before hand and that wasn't ready either. My son and his party guest are now in the party room at 9:04 after having raced and there's still no food. The food arrives 9:25. We are ready to leave the venue only to realize they didn't have a medal ceremony and half the racing guests had already left. Now I am very upset and proceed to address this with the person at the front counter. Lanisha; the manager was very kind and heard my concerns and offered me a free race to compensate for the night. I declined her offer and said I wanted a monetary compensation because when you are paying $75 per guest I don't expect this kind of customer service from a business. I am not a very confrontational person and I am not one to complain about many things because I try to understand the circumstances in which we are faced with but this was too much for me to handle and felt this needed to be addressed. My main complaint is honestly the lack of communication between corporate and your venues and I would like some form of compensation for the amount paid for this party. I don't think the communication between corporate and your venues should be this hard. I called the Medley locations several times to find out if my 7 PM party schedule was confirmed and all they could do was put me on hold and call "corporate"only for them to be placed on hold as well and then told corporate would call me back (which by the way I'm still waiting for a callback). I will wait to hear a response from your sales team. read more

So I wish I could give 3.5 stars but a .5 is not an option. Why 3 stars and not 5? Well, service was okay, a bit confusing, and slow. It seemed like the company only hires youngsters and some of them looked really unhappy and bored. But! The experience of car racing was fun. There was a Groupon deal for $48 for two people (2 races per person). My friend and I came on a Sunday afternoon. There was plenty of parking under the sun. Once we entered the building, we waited in line for a while to see a front desk employee. When it was our turn, the girl told us we had to register and create our profiles on the computer first. I wished they had placed several signs that informed customers about that first for first timers. So we created our profiles, which asked us some basic questions, and then went back to the front desk. We went to another girl and she was friendlier than the first girl we saw. She charged us the taxes, gave us the masks (not sure what they are called), and our K1 Speed cards. She informed us that it would be an hour wait. While waiting, we strolled around and watched the other racers. There weren't many food choices and arcades. Finally, our names were announced over the PA system. We reported to the adult side and weren't given much instructions. We watched the other customers who seemed like they had been here several times already. We put on our masks and then the helmets. We were instructed which car to take. Since I am short and barely just made it to the height requirement, they gave me pedals and a back booster thing, which helped a lot. One guy (with a fro) who helped us was very kind, he helped look after our bags. Car racing was fun! We drove around and around and around the loop. I always finished last in the 10-person race, but I didn't mind. My friend and I waited another few minutes until it was our turn again. Came here on a Sunday for our work family gathering. The entrance was a bit difficult to find because it's along similar looking warehouses. The place is definitely huge and plenty of parking. I've been to the one in Ft Lauderdale but I think this one is bigger. As soon as you walk in, the check-in counter is on the left. Look forward, you see the 2 tracks right behind an enclosed glass partition. To the right are some lounge seating and food counter. They announce which group is next thru the PA speaker so don't worry if you are hanging out in the lounge section. The karts were in pretty good shape and go about 45 mph. First, the instructor guided the drivers around the course and gave some tips. Couple of staff gave me a tip about some karts that were a little faster so don't afraid to ask :) First round was for fastest lap time and second round was for placement. Each driver got a stat sheet from the check-in counter so you can review your spot on the scoreboard compared to others. We also opted for a championship medal ceremony so we had lots of fun photo-ops. Overall the staff were friendly and helpful. The place didn't feel too packed but it was surely busy. Before you get in line make sure you fill out & sign the waivers on the computers by the entrance if you never been here prior, after that then make the line (huge mistake I did). What a fun experience from start to finish. I understand that the experience costs a lot of money to keep alive even for the company itself but I am deducting two stars solely based on price. I was incredibly surprised to hear the price once the gentleman was done ringing us up, $141 for three of us. Like... wait... WHAT?! The breakdown of our races went like so: My boyfriend did 2 His son did 3 on the little track I did 1 I'm sorry but I can not justify spending $141 on 5 races; that's astronomically high prices. Then you go to the track but they divided in two track the whole track. It's a little bit short. The kart didn't have the maximum power they curb it. You need to ask them to give you all the power. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS/LOCATION!!!! I represent a non-profit organization called Sponsored By Grace here in our great city of Jacksonville. We work with families in the Urban Core who are mostly forgotten or overlooked. Our goal is to empower these residents to take their next step in becoming self-sustained. Driver's Licences, High School Diplomas, 1st vehicles, a job, these are just a few of the things that we have encouraged and enabled our families in the 32209 to achieve. We brought 22 children from this community to Autobahn, or as it is now called K1 Speed on February 19th for a STEM class and cart racing. We made our reservation in December. The kids were so excited to learn about all that goes into driving a race car in the STEM class. To our surprise and dismay, they were not able to have our kids in their classroom for STEM which we did pay for ahead of time. The check in process was a mess. Although we pre-registered all of our kids, 8 of our 22 kids were not in their system. This took extra time to get all the info loaded. Our trip to the Autobahn last year was very different from this experience. None of the staff were happy to be there. This sets a tone for their customers. They put 10 and 11 year old's in the same carts as the adults and gave them no instructions. Last year they walked the track with our kids and explained turns and braking to prepare the kids. Last year they also had kids that were 12 and under in the kids cars that are much more controllable for them. Several of our little ones were too scared to go on their 2nd race. They also had no record in their system that we had paid for a 2nd race. I literally had to pull up my emails from December to prove that we had paid for it. After proving our purchase of a 2nd race, and stressing our time crunch ( we arrived at 10am and had to leave by 1:30) at about 12 o'clock, they still allowed 4 groups to go ahead of us. 2 of them were not even there when I explained our time situation. All this to say that by the time half of our kids had finished their 2nd race it was already 1:50. The other half of the kids and the chaperones never got their 2nd race. This caused us to be late for our lunch reservation. Everyone should also know that half of their arcade games do not work. We have taken our kids on over 30 trips in the last 5 years. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had!! To make matters worse, I shared all of this information with our contact at Autobahn/ K1 Speed. Despite them not providing half of the experience we paid for, the only thing they offered to make up for this terrible experience is 20% off our next visit. I'm leaning towards disputing the charge with our credit card company. read more

Our family had so much fun racing here! Everything was so fluid and taken care of. Gideon was a tremendous help! He did a qualifier for us and a final. Upon taking off on the final, my kart was messed up, and he immediately paused the race and got me a new kart, had all the karts staged in the correct order corresponding to the qualifier and started the race over. An amazing amount of customer service and care was given! He walked us through and showed us where we could get drinks, gave us a tour and took our photos before and after the race.
