We either caught this place on the come-up (maybe a "soft opening"), or it has not reached its potential. The space is great & the location is good. The things that have been paid attention to (outside decor, the inside lighting, the overall theme etc) are well done. From that aspect, you are transported once you walk through the doors. But, the inner-workings lack the competitiveness to be in the same general area as K1 racing or Dave & Busters. There are better options that appear to run a tighter & cleaner operation 20 minutes in each direction. The battle karts were fun & do employ the gaming aspect that make them more than just go karts. But the software is wonky, the track felt small, & the safety precautions by the attendant were pretty much nonexistent (we had a 9 year old riding w the belt half on & a 14 year old who asked the attendant about tightening the seat belt only to be waved at & be told that it didn't matter). Eating in a room with only neon & black lights isn't too bad...unless you have to kill a roach (which we had to do) & then not having clear, bright-light sight of your food is concerning. (I know this is S FL & having a roach in a warehouse in downtown in the heat is hard to avoid - but this is my actual experience & if that sort of thing grosses you out, I thought you should know.). The gel-ball shooting game is pretty innovative - a mix between paintball & nerf that use small gel caps that sting but don't hurt too bad. Face masks are provided with different nerf implements to use as shields. The space for this competitive team shooting game is a shared space, with spare battle karts taking up a portion of the area. While the shooting zone is separated by a chain link fence, spectators do get hit with strays. Although players have masks, spectators are completely vulnerable. Several older people in our party opted to wear their sunglasses just to protect their eyes while watching others play. The location only has 1 bathroom, which is next to the shooting zone. So, if you are waiting in line during a match, there is a large probability that you will get hit (whether you are part of the party playing or not). The gel bullets move pretty fast & erratically - we found gel pellets in our curly hair for hours afterwards...a warning to anyone with textured styles. After driving & shooting, we were pretty warm. The place hasn't figured out ventilation & is generally warm. They do have air conditioning, but unless we stood directly below the vent - we were breaking a sweat. Here's the overall thing - I'm a Miami guy. I want to support small operations trying new things- even if they haven't quite figured it out yet. I like start ups, out-of-the-box labors of love. There are places that I haven't rated on Yelp bc I had a below average experience, but I felt that the proprietors were giving it their all. I'm not high maintenance - I don't need posh. And if this place had been in a non-gentrified area of town, I think I'd be okay. But, if you are going to spend money for go-karts & shooting games - I would regrettably suggest some place else.

No negative experience at all. Definitely recommend. Edm chill music. Tons of games. Go karts are a blast. Great for a date or with the fam.

This place is finally open to the public and parking is free!…read moreWe were just driving by the Motorsports complex and saw across the street they finally had a sign stating open. We pulled in and there were people racing with helmets and protective gear. We parked up front and saw they had numerous staff everywhere. Music was playing as you heard engines just zooming by. The staff(all wearing light blue shirts) were just advising a family in front of us about safety as they waited their turn. I saw that you do have to be a certain height to ride so everyone, including kids who meet height criteria are welcome. Let me tell you these things went fast and people were taking the racing seriously! I saw a couple just go at it on that track. Now I'm not going to front and say I wasn't nervous so I passed on trying to ride but next time I will definitely try. So spectators like me,are more than welcome,LOL. But be prepared for speed as these things go 45 to 50 miles per hour. Parties of 5 or more do get a discounted rate(about $5 less) and their open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 8pm for now. Prices were a little much ... well I think so cause it's $25 per person for almost 10 minutes but maybe as they progress things will change. Regardless this is a cool spot to check out and burn some rubber or watcg somebody else go fast!

First time on go carts and I have to say was so much fun. It's a lot harder then you would think!…read more There's two tracks, one is open to the public. They do not take rsvps, walk in only. Went Friday afternoon at 130pm they had just opened. Was not crowded at all. We got to do most of our laps without any one else was that was nice. Will be back back

Fun for kids and surprisingly enjoyable for adults too…read more We ended up at Pinto's Farm somewhat by accident while in the area, and we were glad we did. It's clearly geared toward kids, but we still had a good time as adults. We were able to pet the goats and sheep and talk with one of the staff members, who was friendly, patient, and happy to answer our questions. It made the visit feel welcoming rather than just a quick walk-through. There are a few growing pains, it seems. Some areas could use clearer signage, and the place felt a bit understaffed at times but nothing that ruined the experience. Overall, it's a worthwhile visit. Adults will enjoy it, and kids will almost certainly love it.

Here at Pinto's Farm in the Redlands area of Miami, FL, I'd like to highlight two sections around…read morethe grounds that made for a worthwhile visit. The first part is the paddle boats. Designed to accommodate 2 passengers, leisurely float down the tropical inlet of a man-made river. Riders can enjoy unlimited paddling trips and it's a nice way to appreciate nature, surrounded by colorfully green waters and palm trees. Next area of the farm to check out is the Petting Zoo. Quickly grab the attentions of goats and sheep by purchasing a small bucket of hay for $5. The animals are not shy and they have endless appetites. Pinto's Farm also has a race track, pony and tractor rides. The Brewery House offers food and refreshments and Pinto's Ice Cream Truck sells handcrafted milkshakes. General admission is $20 per person on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Overall, Pinto's Farm is a pleasant way to spend a few quality hours within the suburban community of Miami, FL.
