Terrible experience. I couldn't even wait to leave the parking lot to start writing this. First let's start with the fact that instead of using her words, the lady who did my friend's toes SLAPPED HER FOOT with her birkenstock to get her to put her shoes on while I was asking her for a favor quickly. They rushed us and talked about us the whole time (we saw you guys looking at each other and giggling after we paid). After we got our pedicures the woman who did my nails asked if I wanted gel (I already told her what I wanted) and then charged me $20 for a regular manicure. I haven't paid more than $15 for a regular manicure & they've been so much better. Our pedicures were so basic - she put some cloudy water on my feet & some lotion. The lady I saw next to us got a scrub & that was never offered to us. Halfway through my manicure, the woman who did my nails stopped to use her phone then said "you can pay now" even though the customer before us got to pay after she sat at the dryer our entire appointment. The woman who did my friend's nails told her to put on her jacket before she started painting & my friend didn't want to & asked, "what time do you guys close?" and she said, "why does that matter?" (btw this was around 5:30 pm they close at 7:30 pm). my friend said, "oh you guys don't have somewhere to dry my nails?" she said, "yeah but it's not gonna dry fast enough" because apparently we had a time limit on the amount spent at the dryer. No one ever offered to help move our things or said a word to us as we walked out. They were so rude. I worked in the service industry & lived off of my tips so I understand the importance of them. I had $10 ready to give her. But I also definitely earned my tips & delivered great service. At least I got to keep my $10 & put it towards dinner tonight! read more

Ive work in the spa industry as an esthetician for over a decade. I am a kind compassionate, person and I've never written a yelp review before in my life. This nail salon is completely emotionally abusive and toxic. I've returned here for a specific technicians quality work in a timely fashion and close location convenience but all they do is yell here loudly in Korean, give nasty looks and make you feel bad for coming in for a service. My technician although she does good work almost damaged my nerve with the drill and yelled at me for being a baby. The salon is dirty and the prices are expensive. They are rude,disrespectful and I leave feeling emotionally drained and sad. I'm currently looking for a new salon and not sure why I've continued to endure this toxic environment. I think a beauty service should provide quality work as well as a relaxing and uplifting experience and this place unfortunately is not it. Thank you for reading. No doubt, it's a nice spot to get your nails done but I'm someone who likes to get designs on my nails and both times I've gone there they gave me someone who clearly wasn't experienced enough in doing nails. It's not a big deal if I were just getting a fill and a simple color but if one of the other ladies has to interrupt just to show you how to properly do it... you should just let her finish the work. I even wanted to say "if you could do it then just take over" lol. Also I told her I wanted them very sharp about 4 times but they still came out dull and the coffin shape was rounded. At the VERY end, she took a cuticle tool and scraped around my cuticles making a little gap. Omg I wish I stopped and asked "wth are you doing" cus it's only been 10 days now and my nails look like I've had them for over 2 weeks. This nail salon will do in a pinch. I've gone twice for a gel manicure and pedicure and wasn't wowed. They charge an extra $5 for scrub during the pedicure which typically comes free with other pedicures. The pedicure also did not include massage or heel treatment but overall came out looking ok. The gel manicure was sloppy and rushed. My nails weren't soaked and cuticles weren't cut so the polish doesn't fully cover my nails. read more

i had an okay experience at this salon. the staff was really friendly and welcoming. however, the man (i didn't catch his name) didn't say one word to me other than "acrylic or gel" and "what shape". he tried being really careful with the details, but i just wasn't satisfied. it is part my fault, i asked for a different shade of purple and he came out with the wrong one. i didn't say anything because i felt bad but now it's on me to try and change it at home. i also asked for coffin shaped nails, and when comparing them to my friends (who got square) they looked almost identical. that is also not something i wanted. i then asked him to cut them shorter and he ignored me. the rest of the staff seemed really nice and the lady next to me did her clients nails beyond beautifully. i guess i just got unlucky, a little disappointed but i'll just try out a new salon. read more

So this was my second time visiting this salon as I have been having so much troubling a good nail salon in my area. My first time was a great experience but this time I went in for a acrylic fill in and although I did not have an appointment (walk-ins welcome) it was only 1 person waiting and I was the second. I waited 30 mins, sat in the chair and I'm not pleased with how my nails came out. The acrylic is lumpy, and my gel polish peeled off on the second day on both of my thumbs. To top it off I was charged $35 for a fill in??? That seems a bit much to me and when I asked why so much she said it was because of the shape?? I paid and left! I tried K Nails for my first time after seeing their work on my Instagram feed, and from what I saw I was impressed. I walked in, and the woman at the front desk asked me to sign in and pick a color. As I picked my color, the woman who did my nails began, and I felt comfortable. After about 5 minutes, my impression completely changed. The woman doing my nails was constantly texting and on her phone, barely paying attention to what she was doing. She would stop my manicure to answer text messages, told me to not watch her while she worked, and was overall rude. I kept asking her for a certain shape, and she did not listen. I asked her to make my nails shorter, she did not listen. She rushed through my dip powder set, and now my nails are crooked, different lengths and shapes. After leaving, I got into my car and noticed that 3 of my nails were bleeding on the surrounding skin. I will never go back. read more

this was my go to nail place near my house because anna does such a great job. however, she was busy when i made an appointment for a regular fill last week. not only was this basic fill job done terribly (see pictures of how she made a strange shape in my thumb nail and then tried to cover it up by just pushing more powder on the spot instead of actually fixing it) ... their pricing board says a crystal gel fill is $18.... well... sure, $18 plus $3 for trimming my nails and calling it a cut down (i just got a new set on the time before this fill) plus another $10 for using gel polish. it's so hard to find a good nail place and i'm really upset that their prices have changed and the quality is just not what it used to be =\ read more

The salon is very clean. The service was horrible! I got a mani pedi and they rushed me, to the point I never even got my foot massage. Then only my one hand was massaged. My mother got her foot grated by an actual cheese grater on a callus that she doesn't even have. The man that did my mothers gel manicure never finished, he was supposed to put a flower on her finger. He then told her to go to sit in the pedicure chair and never came back to do the flower. She never got any lotion on her and he did not clean up her nails. My ending result of my pedicure is horrible. This is the worst experiences I have ever had. After visiting this place a couple of more times, I had to knock it down a star. My last couple of experiences have been average at best. I got SNS one time and the technician did a terrible job, as in the powder was stuck to my skin as well as my nail. The head guy there was nice and tried to fix it but that was the first and last time I got SNS there. Most recently I got a gel manicure on Saturday and today (Thursday), one of them had chipped already which is super annoying. I went to K Nails because it's close to my house and being that I have a newborn as well as a 4yr old, I didn't want to be too far away despite my fiancé encouraging me to get out of the house and pamper myself. Now instead of having a good 3 weeks of a manicure, I will have to go back sooner. For reference, I went to Luxi Nails (my usual) in Somerset on 1/5 (same day I went into labor) and it lasted me a solid 3.5 weeks. Unfortunately I won't be returning to K Nails. read more

Just to update, I went to another salon to get the dip powder removed today and they were appalled with the state of my nails.

Central Jersey salons aren't usually good for unique and fun nails. North Jersey/New York are usually the hot spots. I've lived here all my life and most just offer basic services and the techs aren't up to speed on new trends. I started getting ads for this place (well done marketing) and saw the work and since I wanted some fun and interesting(thanks Cardi B) I decided to try them out. First two visits were meh. But I knew I was seeing the wrong person when I saw Anna at the front with some super nice nails on her own hands. So now I ONLY see her. The shape is always right and she's honest. I keep asking when it'll be time for a new set (I want gel which is more expensive) and she keeps saying to wait. I am getting tired of the set since they're still not long enough but I'm looking forward to getting a new set with Anna. Book her if you're looking for some cool and not your average nails! He totally ruined my nail shape, took off the corner of one nail and had an attitude when I tried a nail color and told him I didn't like it. I love the way they do my nails and all the technicians are wonderful! Highly recommend best around! The man who did my gel fillings in station 8 in the back, first shorten my nails without me waiting them made them all different lengths and was mad when I asked them to be fixed, told me I was wrong for saying my thumb nail was crooked. Didn't know how to do the ombré I asked and when he used the airbrush to do it polished my whole finger was extremely rough trying to use acetone to wipe it off then had the audacity to use a cuticle clipper to remove the polish of my fingers cut my fingers and then filed my finger. Worst experience ever!! Zero customer service. I went to cosmetology school and I know there is no way this man did this correct at all. read more

Decided to give K Nails a try after reading their google reviews/ looking at their IG page. However, I was very disappointed with my experience. Receptionist and nail tech were both not very friendly. I got a $40 dip manicure, and literally a day later my thumb nail already chipped!! That's probably because my nail tech couldn't be bothered by me being there and rushed through my nails even though i was the only person in the salon. I also felt with COVID in mind, they weren't as sanitary as they should have been. I saw the jars with blue sanitary solution all over, but not one of them had any equipment in there to be sanitized. My nail tech used clippers from her drawer that have probably have not been properly sanitized. I would expect that with the current environment we'd are living in that all nail equipment would be in a UV sanitizer, or the blue solution at least. Will not be returning. read more
