Keeping my "blinders" on, my mission is to get a few of those famous crispy bakes for my daughter's 26 birthday instead of buying a whole cake. While the interiors are modest, they make great use of the little space they have with a bakery counter and tables with a selection of seasonal/holiday treats. They had a decent variety of Easter themed cupcakes, chocolates, and cookies when I stopped in. Since it was my first time there, I asked the staff member what she recommended, and she beamed at me grabbing me a long cream-filled donut. I also got a piece of vanilla crumb cake since that jumped out at me. Both were a solid 4/5, with the cream-filled donut getting a slight edge in the taste department. The vanilla crumb cake was a huge slice, ideal for sharing or splitting up into multiple pieces. Service was friendly and prices on par with other area bakeries, with both items running just under $6 total. While I probably wouldn't venture out of my way to visit again, I would happily return if I was passing through the area in need of baked goods or treats, as I'm happy to support local businesses like these.

However, the cupcakes are still worth a try! The mint and the cookie dough are family favorites.

Enjoy some bland, day old tasting donuts... on the cheap!…read more Came here on my way home from work one day figuring it would be a nice treat. While I hate to judge an establishment by its looks, this did not have much to offer. Old fixtures and display, no line, PLENTY of baked goods left... But I guess in this case it was right. They had plenty of cookies left, a few donuts, plenty of cupcakes and other goods which at the end of the day seemed odd. The service was ok, but not knowledgeable about their selection. How do you not know what kind of filling is in your donuts? I tried 2 donuts which ended up being dry, granular tasting, and left a waxy taste in your mouth. They had me questioning if they were actually old, and not today old but like made yesterday old. But hey, 2 donuts for $1.50? I guess that's not bad.

I'll generally choose regular cake over cupcakes because you typically receive a fork with a slice, and you don't get any utensils with a cupcake. Because they're decorated, they can be hard to eat in a civilized manner. I had a few forks in my desk, and I'm glad for that, but for the record, I would have gone cavewoman on this. It was absolutely delicious. The cookie was crunchy, which offered a nice contrasting texture. The cake was a tender crumb - perfect. And the icing was rich and creamy. My coworker had the Fruity Pebbles version, and I heard the fresh crunch of the sweet cereal. Nothing soggy or greasy. These are a bit on the pricey side ($5 each), but worth every cent for the quality. These would be great for a special occasion.

They offered free chocolate cherry butter cookies which were divine!!!!! I didn't purchase any because my focus was on the cake (& on the donuts and dog treats that mysteriously were in my hands when I left lol). There were so many options for cake that in order to wind my decision down I asked the employee what their top cakes were and based on his reply I decided to go with the Strawberry Shortcake ... which was hands down the best I've ever had!
