    Hot Cheetos K-Dog

O-K! This place did nothing to satisfy my off season craving for the popular corn dog at our local State Fair. The batter used is unfamiliar nothing like cornmeal. It's white, light in texture, almost chewy like soft styrofoam, tight with a little stretch. The variety of k-dogs are great. You can choose between cheese, meat or half/half for the base and made to order. I wasnt impressed with my selection even though it was straight from the fryer. The Potato Dog is a little sweet (sprinkled sugar on top) but diffently not savory and no seasoning. The Hot Cheeto dust was plain, dry red dye powder crumbs from some unknown source and no flavor. Neither one comes with a drink or side and to pricey for the portion sizes you get. Other than being located within a popular shopping mall I will have to walk on by.

A menu they have hanging on the wall just inside the door so you don't have to go up to the register to see what's on the menu.

Hmm I didn't know really what to expect when we went in, I have heard about this place before (in Houston) an was so surprised to see it up here. So I was super excited to try it, it was super busy almost all the tables and chairs were taken. The staff was pleasant and were smiling which is unique because honestly when you go to fast food places it's usually a bunch of teens who would rather be at home on their Xbox or with friends. But this looks like a family who works together an cashier an the lady who hands you the food both were smiling an was very polite. There was lots of options an different variety of what you can choose from, I decided I was going to share one with the hubby so I got a half an half which is part hot dog part mozzarella covered hot Cheetos. It was interesting slightly under done could have used maybe 30 sec 45 sec more in the fryer. The hot dog part was delicious, the cheese part tasted very strong of cheese it over power the taste of everything else. So if you really love the taste of mozzarella then it's great for you. This is definitely a place that serves food that's like you can from fair just maybe not as good but it definitely might scratch that itch you have for some nummy fried food. I know that we definitely will be going back to a try other options that are available. The place is clean the staff is pleasant food is interesting an there is tons of options definitely recommend you go give it a try.

Wasn't completely cooked. SOMEONE CAN GET SICK!!

This place is dirty. The employees don't wear anything to pull back their hair. The tables are constantly dirty along with the floors. The employees are rude and unmotivated to even work. So Lazy that they'll be stuck in their phone for at least 5 mins before they noticed someone is even there and even then finish the text they were typing before getting orders. My food wasn't even completely cooked all the way, the cheese was solid.

Here's the sign which explains what's on the KDogs although it's not what's on the KDogs.

Portillo's is typically a hit or miss with us here…read more Depending on what you get will actually determine how you like the food. We always get the [Jumbo] Hot dog, which is not as big as you'd expect, but it's tasty. We enjoyed eating the Jumbo Chili Cheese Dog, Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, and the Char-Grilled Polish Sausage. These are all the hot dogs we typically order. We're not fans of the Italian Beef Sandwich nor the Big Beef Sandwich; they typically have a lot of gravy in them. The Char-Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwich wasn't worth it. If you side the gravy and don't add peppers (an extra charge), you'd literally just get the bread and the sausage. The fries and onion rings are usually mediocre, but it's good served as a meal. On the other hand, the staff has always been kind, both in-house and drive-thru. The place has never been too crowded.

It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.

There was this super anal retentive Mario that was a server also....his section was geometrically perfect, totally fung Shuy'd out and precise to the millimeter. You could look down the rows of tables and they all were in a row and perfect. Because why not, I moved a tent out of line. For payback, I asked for a short beer and got this. Love it and touche.

Granted, it was first a recommendation by a family member who took a liking to Lazy Dog's food, so I decided to give it a try with my stepdad today. I enjoy their large variety of food options. Their menu ranged from pasta to seafood, including a few selections of fish; I ordered the Grilled Idaho Trout and requested the green beans be switched to broccoli. The food was great; portions were large and I especially took an unexpected liking to their potatoes and french fries. I wished I tried their Truffle Fries as I really like Truffle, but I suppose I'll save that for my next visit. Service was OK, nothing spectacular or memorable. Environment was clean and comfortable with plenty of seating indoors as well. Overall, a decent enough experience for me to come back with family.

With so many dining options available, I chose Jake's Burgers after hearing positive recommendations from my brother. Upon entering, I immediately noticed how organized and spotless the restaurant was. It had a welcoming sports-bar atmosphere that felt both relaxed and inviting. I was promptly greeted by J.T., the host, who was kind, polite, and welcoming as he escorted us to a booth. Our server, K.T., was friendly, efficient, and attentive. He quickly brought us water, took our order, and thoughtfully repeated everything back to ensure accuracy. We started with the fried mushrooms ($8.99), which arrived hot, juicy, well-seasoned, and pleasantly spicy--just as promised. They were easily some of the best fried mushrooms I've had in a long time. For our main course, I ordered the Classic Double Cheeseburger on a poppyseed bun with all the toppings ($11.79), while we also tried the Jake's Special Burger with the works ($11.79). Both burgers were incredibly delicious--juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend giving Jake's Burgers a visit. Hope to see you there!

They have burgers in the name, so I jumped right to that section. Ultimately, decided on the Frito Chili Burger. We had a table of 8, and they brought the food out in batches - two people who ordered chicken sandwiches had to wait about 5 minutes longer than everyone else at the table which was a bit awkward. The burger was good though, and so were the sweet potato fries. Overall, we had a pretty good experience.
