Crab and shrimp in spicy broth
    Susan S.

5/2025: An update: There's now kimchi and seaweed salad on the condiments bar, as well as four different types of tripe among the chilled meats. I tried the mushroom broth this time, and while I liked it, the spicy broth (full of chilies and chile oil) is still my favorite. I'm reminded why this is a vegetarian's paradise: Multiple soup bases for the vegetarian or vegan; vegetables, rice noodles, and bowls of rice available as you wish.

Peanut, the little robot that showed us to our table, is the best worker there and he deserves a raise. But seriously, all of the workers there are super friendly. For your first time there, they still show you around the restaurant to make sure you understand how hot pot and kbbq works. We go here about once every month/two months and the staff always welcomes us back. We always do the combo of hot pot and bbq. I always get the Tom yum broth. I recently got the tomato broth and I actually like it better. For the hot pot portion, they have a variety of different meat, vegetables, tofu, mushrooms, and seafood to cook. The from menu ranges from boba to alcoholic beverages. For those who don't know which sauce to make, here is one I like: - soy sauce - white vinegar - garlic - green onion - jalapeño - sugar - pepper

This was a nice spot in the winter time! There's KBBQ and hotpot and 5 large bar areas with a variety of meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles, fish balls/tofu. The service was nice and they routinely come around to check that everything is in order but you cook everything yourself. Overall the restaurant environment is quite nice and spacious, and seating booths are separate and intimate for good conversation

The strawberry lychee drink, broth with chosen vegetables in it and stovetop in backround

It has something for everyone! Seafood, beef, chicken, pork, a wall of vegetables, fruits and desserts. The strawberry lychee drink was amazing! I ordered the spicy broth bowl and added the seafood and vegetables to it while my meat cooked. Unlike other buffets, they didn't charge me for any food I didn't like (a crawfish and the lamb shaving). It's all you can eat and I was very happy with the seasoned meats and surprisingly the snail! The atmosphere is very welcoming and clean

Loved it. Especially the adorable robot who showed us to our table! Steve was our server and he was excellent. Since it was our first time he gave us a tour of the restaurant and explained how everything worked, where everything was, and how to use the grill and hotpot. Everything was delicious. We both had drinks too, and mine was so good. I can't WAIT to go back!!

We came here for my brother in law's birthday dinner, and we had a good time! First you pick if you want the bbq, hot pot, or both. We opted for both, but I personally only used the hot pot since I'm pregnant. Then you get to pick your broth, and I chose the mushroom. It was nice and flavorful! Then you go to the buffet and choose anything you'd like to put in your broth or on the grill. I put ramen, green onions, chicken, and garlic in my broth. It was really good! The pot was huge, so I was not able to finish since the portion was big for me. There was a dessert bar too, so I got some fresh fruit and jello. I ordered a bubble tea, but the flavor was kind of floral, which wasn't my liking. We also felt a little rushed the whole time especially since there was a reservation after us, but we understood that the restaurant couldn't control that.

This is the one place that has KBBQ and hotpot AYCE. It is very rare for Buffalo tbh. We made an easy reservation online first. We came at 5pm and the place wasn't too crowded. I was sad that this place wasn't popular because I would love to support them more. Maybe because many students left for winter break at the moment. The food was adequate. And the service was outstanding. Food was constantly filled at the salad bar. Plates were cleared constantly too. I will come back some time.

Went to K-BBQ and got pot for a friends birthday and seeing as we drove 1hr out of the way because he specifically wanted to go here I knew it would be good. When you walk in there's a cute lobby with a little waiter robot who takes you to your seat. I would suggest making reservations if you have a large party or plan on going at popular times. This place can get busy during peak times. Once inside you are given a choice of 6-8 different soup bases from mild to spicy (base price for hot pot is about $30 per person-which includes all the side bar stuff). I'm not a spicy person so I got a milder base but tried my friends spicy base and it wasn't overly spicy The topping and ingredients bar was pretty expansive so it will have something for all. A lot of veggie, meat and seafood options. You could go up as much or little as you wanted. So if you're a big eater you can do some damage here. Only caveat is a 90min limit at peak hours. At the end you get a choice of a small chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry ice cream with your bill. Overall a great place and I see why my friend wanted to go out of his way to come here!

10/10. Literally my favorite place near UB and relatively cheap for all the options you can get. Good K-BBQ steak and mushrooms!

Ask the Community - K-BBQ & Hot Pot

    Is it byob?

No, there's a full bar, the option to sit at the bar if waiting for a table; a card of specialty cocktails and house wines.

Does each person get their own broth for hot pot? Vegetarian going with meat eaters

Yes you choose your own broth also if you don't care for meat you can just eat without bbq meat and it's $5 cheaper, if there price didn't go up.

What it does offer is something far better: food made with care, flavor, and generosity. The standout is the bulgogi. It's tender, beautifully marinated, and cooked just right--savory with a gentle sweetness that never overpowers, and every bite feels like the kind of comforting, well-loved dish that keeps you coming back. The portions are generous, the seasoning is balanced, and it arrives with that quiet confidence of a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. Prices remain very reasonable for the quality and quantity, which makes it easy to become a regular. There was self-seating, bus your own table and I figure it's just the lull between lunch and dinner and they're running lean on staff at that hour. No big deal. This place has actual Korean cuisine but I was there for their wings. Got two orders of wings, original and honey garlic, plus an order of fries. Food was legitimately good. Wings came out crispy, good flavor, cooked right. The honey garlic ones get sticky and perhaps messy to eat but worth it. Had a light beer with mine, wife had some soju. Hit the spot. Service was fine for what it was. A slow day with limited staff who were friendly and helped us out when we needed it, no complaints at all. Restaurant was quiet but they've got a full bar in there, so I'd guess it fills up at night or when there's a game on TV. And honestly, we rather enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Amherst's got plenty of wing joints already, but this one does actual Korean fried chicken and does it right. If you haven't been, it's worth checking out and kind of a hidden gem. I'll be back to try their actual Korean food and see what it's like when it's actually busy.

The seasoning on them were very flavorful however the powdered cheese on was a tad clumpy and the fried weren't crispy (though that's probably not their fault) I'm assuming they would have been crispier if I dined in. ZamZam Burgers & Fried Chicken is one of those gems! On UberEats they usually have BOGOs on their three piece fried chicken and fries combo and their cheeseburgers...among other items.
