Had 4 new tires put on my Cadillac CTS4 back in the later part of 2021. The service was scheduled by my boyfriend who also works in the automotive industry. A discount was given due to his job's afflication with them. I was the one who took my car in and waited for it to be done. Their waiting room was decent for a repair shop and I enjoyed sitting by their big picture window watching birds come and go from the feeder they installed. The front parking lot is tight, and I'm not exactly sure where they take the cars while they're working on them, but it was done quickly. I don't think I was there for more than an hour. Immediately when I got inside I noticed one of the indicator lights were on. After my boyfriend, a mechanic, ran the codes it was determined to be a tire sensor. It was obviously damaged when the tires were replaced. He dealt with them after that, and it was a good bit of an ordeal getting them to pay for the replacement. However it was more than one, as the light was still on after they did the repair. They refused to pay for any more and claimed they were going bad before the tires were put on. I will say I had no problems prior to the tires, and even after I paid to have the others replaced we continued to have problems. I gave the car to my daughter several months back, a good year past when the tires were replaced and to this day she still has problems with the monitors. Three stars because the service I was there for was good, pricing was fair. However as far as admitting they caused the problem and resolving it I was dissatisfied. read more

I bought back tires from the Prince Street location about a year ago, and I do not put on a lot of miles on my car. I noticed I was sliding whenever it rained, and so I called them. I had only put on 5,000 miles. K&W were responsive, they told me the tires were shot and I needed new ones. I was a bit alarmed the tires lasted only 5k miles. They recommended another set, I paid the difference for the new tires after the warranty, and off I went. Unfortunately, I continue to slide whenever it rains. I had just got on a highway and that is when I noticed at 60MPH I was sliding. Moderate rain, began hydroplaning into the other lane but thankfully nobody was there. I called the downtown office on a Thursday afternoon. The manager told me he would call me the following day. Nothing for almost a week, so I called them. Said he was researching what is wrong with the new tires and would call me. No call so I called again the following week, and he said he was still researching. No return call again. That last call was a few weeks ago now, and I have heard nothing. I took my car to my mechanic who wondered why the replacement tires on a sports car are perpendicular to the grooves instead of at a 45 degree angle so the water trickles away. I had no answer since I am an idiot regarding cars. However, I will go elsewhere going forward. Incidentally, when it rains now, I am not driving my car as it continues to slide anything over 55MPH. I am going to attempt to return the tires, but I will not use K&W Tire ever again. Disappointing because my mechanic recommended using them last year. read more

I took my son's car to this location and spend $1200 on work. I had a clear conversation with the woman there in which I told her so wanted the 2 front tires replaced and new brakes and rosters out on (in addition to a few other things it needed to pass inspection). They did NOTHING with the brakes, and instead replaced all 4 tires when I only authorized them to change 2! And then they claimed we needed more work to pass inspection. I'm very pleased with the service I received and the value for the money. I popped in here on the afternoon of July 3rd, curious to see what I might find. I was warmly greeted upon entering a seemingly brand new customer area. Even nicer, I wasn't assaulted with "eau de new tire," there're none to be found! I'm sure I could have asked to go take a look, but quite frankly, I just wanted new tires for my car. Dave offered to go check my tires for measurements, but I had the numbers handy. Less than a minute later we narrowed down the list to the perfect tires for me - a brace of Nexen tires, ideal wet weather performance and quiet. I retired to the waiting area, book in hand. Wide, comfortable chairs, complimentary Keurig coffee, and free soda's soon had me relaxing and passing the time with my copy of July's Esquire magazine. About 50 minutes later, my horse was re-shod, and I was on my way. In sum: Service was exactly as promised. Even more so, I'm delighted with their recommendation. This place is fast and the people are true professionals. They have helped me numerous times with problems with my tires and they have always exceeded my expectations. You can tell the people that work at K&W really love what they do and they take a great deal of pride in their work and in their business. K&W is the benchmark for other tire dealers. Nice guys, but they didn't look at the GVW of my truck when they sold me an expensive pair of BF Goodrich's. After 30K miles and $800, I'm off to buy some new tires......from another vendor, for sure!! I assumed tht they were selling me the right tires for my truck. You know what ASS-U-ME means!! They had no interest in helping me or working with me regarding their error. Lesson learned. read more
