Our project was a myriad of things around the yard: rockscape around some beds, pull out some unweildy bushes and plant new ones, and a new rain garden. The project got done on time. The owner, Mike was at our property to scope out the project, and gave us some advice on what to plant, and why. It was helpful having someone who knows something about plants (and what will work here in St. Louis). His team arrived without any drama. The only thing was their truck accidentally, drove over a portion of our grass (our driveway near the street is pretty narrow, along with the road itself, making turning tough for bigger trucks). I hadn't noticed it at all. Mike gave me a call, showed me what happened, offered to do some light grading to fix the indent and plant new grass. All done proactively. I can't tell you how many people just hope you don't notice stuff. Not Basile this time. Thank you. I had to remind the other companies that I was waiting for their estimates. Mike asked me pertinent questions over the phone and with that information, he was able to give me a detailed estimate. I just wanted my front yard irrigated, but I had gardens already in place and requested part of the trenching be hand-dug. This was no problem. The plumbers that did the initial work were efficient and professional. Their work was very neatly done. The two guys who came to install the piping were definitely rougher around the edges. I specifically asked them to set aside any plants or bulbs that they uncover during their digging, so I could replant later. They said they didn't find anything, ridiculous because my garden beds are stuffed full of bulbs and they even dug right under plant labels I had. That's a big deal to me, because I put a lot of time and effort into my garden. Also, I wish they would have asked my input as one sprinkler head seems too close to my deck, especially since my deck is being rebuilt. This coming Spring will show where the damage was done. After a power outage, my controller wasn't working and they replaced it quickly. All in all, I love the irrigation system but would have liked a bit more attention paid to the little details.
