Never actually been to this spot but the options are pretty good! We went on a weeknight and had a bunch of torched options and sashimi as well . Only thing is sometimes they got our order wrong (more of one sashimi type vs another) but it was all you can eat so can't complain. Great service, incredibly fast and friendly. The reviews were a little concerning regarding service but our waitress blew those doubts out of the water. Added at least one star for the quality of the food (delicious, worth the money) and the cheerful lady that came to refill our drinks. Overall our experience was horrible, though. I was disappointed because this was my second time here (first time had zero issues), and I was excited to have my sister tagging along this time so I could show her what I'd already decided was going to be one of my new favourite places to eat out. Our server was awful. She had an extremely uncomfortable (borderline angry) energy all night, and the only time she acknowleged us was when it came time to pay. It was also my friend's first time, and once we told them the price for one person, they decided that they'd sit out dinner and just get some popcorn at the movie. They proceeded to order absolutely nothing and ate nothing, save for a single cube of my other friend's beef and a lick of her ice cream. When it came time to pay, we told our server how we'd be splitting the bills and that our friend hadn't ordered anything. She told us that we were supposed to tell them at the beginning if that was the case (no biggie, and understandable--that was admittedly our bad for not asking ahead of time how something like this should be handled). Server proceeded to storm off without a word, coming back shortly thereafter claiming that her coworkers and her had watched camera footage and seen my friend eating. Again, one cube of beef and one lick of ice cream. "You said that not one piece of food came near her mouth." Uhm, no, I believe what we said was that they hadn't ordered anything. My other friend ended up paying for my friend's "meal" as we're all very tired, non confrontational people who were not in the mood to argue. All our server said (aka, two of the whole four things she said to us all evening) were the following: "tip is already included", and "you need to tell us first next time, do better". Do? Better? There will not be a next time. I'm extremely bummed because I had a very good impression of this place before tonight, and again, the food was spectacular. $40 dollars for a water, less than a mouthful of beef, and a taste of ice cream. If they watched the cameras like they said they did, they have full proof that that's all they ate. Great job, you managed to cheat a couple minimum wage high schoolers out of almost half a paycheck. Do yourself a favour and don't come without driving in first and putting your name on the waiting list. They don't take reservations (which sucks), and we had to wait an hour for a table for 4 on a Thursday night, but it's not their fault it's the restriction of 10 people capacities. Regardless of that, the food is always delicious, fresh, and overall a wonderful "eat until you can't even think of sushi for the next 3 months" dinning experience. I recommend their hot dishes too, the chicken fried rice and beef teriyaki are superb, complemented perfectly by the California salad. All their rolls are delicious, so you can't go wrong with that. Of all their ice cream flavours, I would say their chocolate and red bean ice creams are the best (has tiny red beans in it, so cute!). They're also very friendly and the service is extremely efficient, even when you almost (just almost) feel bad for how often the server had to come to your table to bring you more food. The waitresses are loud & very rude when it comes to getting a table or even simply asking them a question about something on the menu. Caught us off guard on how to order, the server really didn't let us know, but they give you a tablet and you look through it and just start tapping on what you want to eat. So I'm in a situation where I live smack in the middle of K&B Sushi Oakville location and Mississauga location. As such, I alternate between going to the Oakville or Mississauga location. I already reviewed the Mississauga location prior and this time, it was time to go to the Oakville location. I also came for lunch AYCE and the price is pretty cheap for lunch. The service was not bad either, though they sometimes fumbled with the orders by giving us someone else's orders (happened around 3 times - all those times they corrected it but 2 of them took a while). However, it didn't take a while to find someone to take the orders. One thing I noticed was that they sometimes split the orders to different dishes- for e.g. I ordered 6 tuna sushi and 4 of them came in one dish and the other 2 came in another dish with sushi from the next round of orders we did. The restaurant was clean and spacious- the atmosphere was pretty good- the iPad was also easy to work with to order. Just a warning, the lunch selection is small compared to the dinner selection (kind of make sense because you pay $10 less), such as not having any sashimi. However, their selection isn't that bad- they have the basic sushis, the rolls, noodles, appetizers and desserts. Also, the 10% discount when paying cash only applies to dinner only. Honestly, both locations were pretty similar but what made me rate this location a bit higher was the fact that the sushi from this location tasted so good- the fish and rice both melted right in my mouth and I kept ordering more. We love sushi and would go to any decent sushi restaurants in the area to satisfy our sushi cravings when we opt for convenience over high-end sushi on the east end. We have been to this K&B Sushi location years ago but could not remember why we never returned. We decided to give it another try. At first, the food and services were both ok. Some dishes tasted funny and some had no flavours, but majority of the dishes were acceptable in all you can eat standards - they were edible. A couple flies were roaming around, which was kind of gross, but we did not think too much about it. We thought this was an ok all you can eat sushi restaurant (quite frankly, there are not many good ones in Mississauga/Oakville). We were thinking about telling our family and friends about this place. Given the current pandemic, we were prepared to give a generous tips. The entire experience turned upside down when we were paying. Another waitress passed us the machine with the amount listed on the receipt (~ $90). While we were reaching to our wallet, our waitress, Cindy, discreetly selected the tips amount herself while she was collecting our dishes. We were shocked and could not believe our eyes. She selected 15%, which was actually less than what we were going to tip her, but it was her dishonest act that did not sit well with us. We cancelled the transaction and asked her to re-enter the amount. She put the price plus tips once again. After we paid, we asked to speak to the manager. Cindy told us that she was the manager (classic). We knew she was not the manager as we were showed to our table by the manager. Later on, we called the restaurant and spoke to the manager. Surprisingly, he responded with "did she put in 15%?", as if he knows that she does it all the time. He came to Cindy's defence right away and said they tell all customers there'd be 15% gratuity at the beginning of the meal, which was not true as neither him nor Cindy had told us that at the beginning of our meal. He brushed us off by asking for the time we were here and our receipt number, but we could tell that he was not going to do anything about it. I'm not sure if this place is good for sushi but I can definitely say this place is good for its curry and rice. I asked a server for extra ginger. The expression she gave me seemed like she was weirded out. I thought I had said something wrong but then another server tended to my needs and I realized that she didn't know english. I didn't expect that. The sushi I ordered was not fresh, especially the butterfish sashimi. The best sushi I tried here was the Fuji sushi. It was tasty because of the spicy sauce on top. If you do plan to visit this place try their beef pepper. It was surprisingly good, because usually sushi places don't do the beef well and I expected that to be the same here. Pricey AYCE lunch ($15.95 + HST + tip). But the sushi was very good. The decor is modern and clean. I'm not sure if using paper "tablecloths" was the right choice for tables. The tablet menus are functional and generally responsive, but they're missing a table stand for the tablet since they're quite large and take up a lot of space. Most menu items have a picture, and also make the portion sizes apparent. There are several Engrish moments on there "successed". The salmon sushi was thick and fresh. The presentation of all the sushi dishes were well done and the sushi had a sufficient amount of real (eg. salmon) content. There were no issues at the time we went with missing ("forgotten") dishes (despite ordering a lot) as happens in many other AYCE sushi places and the food arrived in a timely manner. The salad dressing was watery and had little taste. They also have dim sum items on the menu. The siu mai were average and the BBQ pork buns were good. The portion sizes are small, so it's easy to sample it. The soft drinks are not included in the lunch menu price. Unsure about dinner menu. In summary, it's good. Went today to celebrate my my daughter's 16th birthday. It was her choice as she came here a year ago for one of her friend's birthday. Party of 5. All you can eat. It took over 10 minutes after we got our table to get the tablets. You place your order on a tablet rhey gave you and when done hit a bottom to send it in. The server comes checks it up and goes. Good start. Food started coming ay a steady pace at first but shortly after started coming notoriously more spaced out. Some of the items where great and others like the brocoli salad tasted awful and stale. Servers work almost in a robotic manner. Perhaps because the place was busy. I was surprised that was the case for a Monday evening. Cleanliness: this is one area where they lack good service. The ladies washroom was filthy and one of the 3 toilets was overflowing, leaving only 2 available. Service: several random waiters attend the same table so some where kind some where more stoic. Went here for a work lunch outing. Being a first timer in this place and having the cravings for sushi, my expectations were high. First impression, place had a good feel.
