During my entire Brazilian wax, Melissa did not wear gloves at any point. I also personally observed her reuse applicator sticks by placing them back into the wax after they had already made contact with my skin. She also wiped the area from back to front during the service. There was no cleansing or skin preparation before she began waxing. The waxing technique itself was also disappointing. Several areas were waxed repeatedly because the hair was not being removed adequately, which made the service much more uncomfortable than necessary. Despite the repeated passes, I still left with visible hair remaining in both my Brazilian area and underarms. I have had Brazilian waxes before, so I understand that techniques can vary between providers. However, my concerns here were primarily about sanitation and basic professional practices, not personal preference. I did contact management afterward, and I want to give them credit for how they handled my complaint. They responded promptly, acknowledged that my sanitation and service concerns were valid, apologized, and issued a full refund for both services. I genuinely appreciate their response. Unfortunately, my individual experience with Melissa was still concerning enough that I felt it was important to share for other clients considering booking waxing services.

I found Lash dollhouse on Facebook and after viewing their photos decided to schedule a 3 week volume fill for July 11th. (I booked a month prior knowing I would need a fill at this date) I got 2 confirmation texts and a reminder text from the company after booking online. Roughly 2 hours before my appt I got a text from the Lash artist that was scheduled to work on me (didn't give a name) saying that she felt ill and needed to reschedule our appt and that I wouldn't be charged for the session. I felt that my response was kind given the fact that I had just driven over two hours from flag to make the appointment on time and asked her when she could reschedule so I would know how long I needed to stay in phx. She read my text and didn't reply to it. I then explained to her that I had just come from flagstaff and that I wished I could have had some prior notice of my canceled appointment given the fact that they have a strict cancellation policy for clients (you are charged for your service if you don't show up) She read that message and again no reply. At this point I'm starting to stress because it's very hard to find someone that is trained in Volume lashes who will take a last minute appointment with a new client. I texted her again Thursday and told her I was available Monday- Wednesday of the following week for my fill .... again read and no reply. I decided to wait a few days before writing a review because I wanted to be sympathetic to this girls health/ situation but for her to not even try and make things right with me or schedule me with someone else is just plain rude. Behavior like this will ruin the reputation of a company very easily. Since I wear the pants in the relationship, I let her know that I wasn't going to go with her, because guys don't go to lash bars! So when I got to the Lashbar, my first impression is that the salon is bright and inviting with a posh look. Everything looks clean and sanitary. I proceeded to sit in the boyfriend waiting room which most people call 'the lobby' a.k.a. 'entrance', where there was a nice, plush sofa ready for me to ponder life and the significance of the significant other. As I waited, the nice owner offered me their signature champagne even though I wasn't in there for long. I'm not a big champagne guy, but I tasted it and it was actually pretty good! As we conversed, the owner went on to tell me that this franchise has multiple locations in San Diego where it originated and is well known for their quality and service. Well, they backed their claims because afterwards my girlfriend said the technicians make sure to go the full mile to see that you are satisfied with your look and final lashes.
