The problem I've found with a lot of groomers is they are booked 6+ weeks out. Unfortunately, when I need to book a groom it's most likely b/c I've spilled queso or some other drippy snack in my dog's head hair and I need a groomer today, not 6 weeks from now. Woof in Boots was able to get me in the same week I called. When I dropped her off I spoke with the groomer and explained my dog's new anxiety contributed to her recent diagnoses of Cushing's Disease. My dog is now a nervous nelly when I bring her to the groomers. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog here. The groomer assured me she would stop immediately if it got to be too much for my old lady. My dog was done in less than 2 hours (I've bene places where they've kept her for 5+ hours). When I picked her up she was free roaming in the secure doggy area. She had her tongue hanging out and seemed happy. I loved that she was cage-free after her groom since she has PTSD from all her surgeries (and being caged). I will definitely be back for all my grooming needs - and most likely day care as well!

The Sunday I went there was lots of parking in front and along the side streets. The facility itself seemed to need some attention & upkeep - the front glass window was cracked & the inside lobby looked a bit disorganized. In addition, customers are not allowed to tour the facility. As with most boarding places, all dogs need to have an evaluation before a reservation can be made. At this facility dogs have daycare with boarding. There is no charge for the evaluation. I made my evaluation time for drop off at 10am & pick up at 2pm on a Sunday. Thank goodness I received a reminder text the morning of because the text also said the lobby is closed from 10-4pm on Sundays. No one mentioned this when I made the appointment. I would have been very disappointed had I gotten there & it was closed. I did call & they asked if I could be there a little early & someone would be in the lobby for pickup at 2pm. I was not happy at pickup when I discovered poop all over one side, by the ear & neck on one of my dogs. The employee was surprised & apologetic, he took her in the back & gave her a bath. The employee was very friendly & personable. At Woof & Boots he said they try to be accommodating & flexible. For example, if some dogs like people more (than dogs) they allow them to hang out with the staff in the lobby, which is gated. They also offer the Bordetella Vaccine for $35 & provide a First Day Report Card with picture of your dog(s).

Two of them are my problem children: a Rottweiler mix foster fail who is reactive to bikes and other dogs and occasionally nervous around people like visiting contractors or UPS men, and the other is a 100+ lb Brazilian mastiff rescue from Aruba who is not fond of other dogs. The two of them began showing increasingly worse dog aggression toward other dogs on the trail and while camping, and had attacked several dogs by the time I found Loyal Hound/Juliet. I was at my wit's end, because I had already spent thousands of dollars and tried everything including other trainers at that point with little to no progress. I felt stuck with 2 big problems for the next 6-8 years. I hike at least 3 miles every single day off leash on the trails by my house, and I love to camp with my dogs in the summer, but they became such a liability that walks became stressful and camping became impossible. I finally found Juliet with Loyal Hound, and for our very first session we met at a crowded park and were going to be doing off leash training right away. I was so nervous -- all the triggers were present: other people with dogs on leashes, dogs off leashes, people on bikes, squirrels -- so I was absolutely AMAZED when we were walking my Rottweiler off leash through a gaggle of geese, past people on bikes, and past other dogs within a few minutes with no problems. It was nothing short of a miracle. Within a few sessions, I had both of my dog aggressive dogs walking on and off leash next to me, passing other dogs (sometimes dogs that were even barking at them) on trails safely with no reactivity. I cannot explain in words how much of a difference this has made in my life -- I feel like I got my life back. If you have a dog aggressive dog, this is the place to go. It's WELL worth the investment, and you will be amazed at the difference you will see in your dog. Thank you Loyal Hound & Juliet!!

Within 5 minutes we were able to re-establish the training methods that work and get Hope back on track with easy leash walking. I am so impressed with her concise easy to follow instructions. I am looking forward to taking my two Samoyeds on walks again while walking my toddler in a stroller without having to worry that Hope will pull us. Trained dogs are safe dogs and I'd pay for the training with Juliet 10x over. Worth every penny! It makes my life easier as a single mom managing all the things to have two dogs that get to enjoy being outside with us because I trust them and they trust me. Don't hesitate if you need help with your dog!

When we pull into the parking lot in the mornings she perks up because she is so excited to go play with her friends. All of the staff members are so kind, knowledgeable and helpful but, we would like to particularly thank Leela (hope I spelt it right). When Olive was out sick for 2 weeks and ran out her promotion days she so gratuitously extended us for the days we were unable to attend. She calls promptly with any issues that might be going on so we can make sure everything is always okay with our baby girl. Overall we are so happy we found City Bark and not to mention the HOURS! My fiancée and I are both nurse so it is very helpful that City Bark opens before we need to be at work and closes after we get off! We love bringing Olive here and think the photos can attest for how much she loves it too

He is not the easiest dog but they are so patient with him and love him so much. He's so happy to go in every time, which is especially impressive because he usually has separation anxiety when he's away from me. I know some of the other reviews are mixed, but I want to say every dog daycare has its issues, and I have had nothing but positive experiences. It's not the "nicest" looking place, but I've taken Moose to fancier daycares where he was just stressed out, and I did not like how the staff treated him. I love City Bark's staff because they go out of their way to get to know each and every dog, and I just couldn't be more impressed with how they've taken care of Moose and how much they love him. He's collectively spent months of his life there since I travel so much, and I always love to look on the webcam and see him getting love. I also love how communicative they are - they have a text line and are so responsive which I appreciate. I can't imagine taking Moose anyplace else!

If you notice, reviews below are from years ago…read more We just pulled our rescue from here yesterday and for the following reasons: 1. Sent our rescue there bc she was too anxious to go into a crate and has a lot of energy. PAWDNERS KEPT HER IN A CRATE, IN A BAY, WITH TEN + OTHER DOGS RUNNING AND PLAYING AROUND HER WHILE SHE SAT IN THE CRATE. I surprised the staff mid-day and let myself in the back to see where she was. I did this bc her behavior had changed. When we got her home, she sat and shook for hours. Needless to say, the young girls were caught off guard telling me she'd had a bad day....why didn't they call us? What constitutes a bad day for a dog? 2. While picking her up on another occasion, the owner, Barbara, slammed her head between the two doors separating the front office. Never a rub or an apology, but Barbara did say, 'good thing I didn't close it harder!' While I was flipping standing right there! 3. Our dog got a nasty virus that needed to be treated for two weeks. Her paws are black with dirt when we pick her up and the barriers between areas are falling down, paint peeling off and sharp splintered edges threaten to cut misled dogs. I don't recommend PAWDNERS to anyone who cares for their animal. It's a run down and dangerous facility and Barbara, the owner, says she doesn't have the money to put into it. They used to have cameras and now don't - it's a different story every time I ask Barbara why she hasn't replaced. The staff is overwhelmed by the number of dogs that they take in - especially on Fridays. They've told me there are too many dogs. Shame on me for not getting her out of there sooner. Shame on Barbara for not responding to a concerned customer and for calling herself a dog lover. Frankly, I am disgusted.
