I have been taking my Schnauzers to DIA Bark Away for over a decade, and I highly recommend them! They have indoor/outdoor runs and my girls love it there. It is a very clean facility and Toby, the owner, and Casey, the Kennel Manager, are very conscientious about following any special diet orders you may have for your dogs. They also offer bathing if you need that. It is also so nice to pick them up and Toby has baked special little yummy treats for your dogs to enjoy upon returning home! I've been boarding my dog, Kona, with Toby for 5 years and she's the best. I've tried a handful of other places around Denver and I always walk away feeling a uncertain about how well they'll care for Kona. I never think twice when Kona is with Toby-- which makes the extra driving worth it. Not a good experience. I had planned to board my 2 dogs for three upcoming trips so I did a trial of one night this past weekend. This was my first experience boarding my pups and never will do it again. I highly advise you not board yours at Park and Bark either. Toby is nice on the phone but not so much in person. Her snappy text response when I inquired about being charged 2 full days for less than 24 hours at the kennel was "it is always advisable to read the boarding contract." If you do decide to use Toby's business to board your dogs... read that contract VERY carefully and understand that you will be charged for another full day if you don't pick them up by noon AND that your dogs may or may not get fed! $117 for less than 24-hours and 2 hungry pups when we got home. Toby, the woman who runs this kennel, is amazing. She is so nice. I boarded my dog for about 2 weeks while I went on a trip, and I used the "park and bark" service...which means I parked my car in Toby's garage, and she gave me a ride to and from the airport. The boarding fees are very reasonable. The kennels are pretty large and clean, and my dog got his own blanket and a peanut butter kong every day. At the end of each stay, Toby gives my dog a package of homemade dog treats. It does not get better than this. read more

Toby and her mom are two of the kindest people and they take such good care of our pup while we are away. I used to have anxiety when traveling, worrying about his care. I'm late with the yelp post but, I feel the need to say how great this experience was. We boarded our 13 year old dog over Thanksgiving for 8 days. I was worried, he is old and does not hear or see well. Toby texted me back within 24 hours when I texted her and gave me updates on him. I did not stop worrying until I picked him up. Any time we have left him in boarding he doesn't eat well or stay hydrated very well but when we picked him up he looked great! He was obviously eating. Moving to Colorado from the Midwest sends me back quite often to see family. When I first moved here I had a dog who was quite old. I was extremely nervous about leaving him with anyone until I met Toby at DIA Park and Bark. I could not have felt more secure and at ease. We now have 2 younger dogs who stay with Toby. There is never a worry about their care or that our dogs will enjoy their stay. DIA Park and Bark is clean and spacious with the opportunity for my dogs to be inside or out in their very own area. I just started taking my 10 month old puppy to DIA Park and Bark. I did tons of research when I first needed to board my pup and everything seemed expensive and the facilities did not make me feel comfortable to leave my dog. When I came across DIA Park and Bark I was happy to see the price was great AND the kennels are quite spacious. After dropping off my dog and seeing the facility in person, I was far more comfortable to go on my first trip without him. Also-Toby is awesome. Our dog, Jackson, loved staying here! He's 11 years old and very anxious, but Toby made him feel very comfortable!! We loved that DIA Park and Bark wasn't like the other "big box" kennel/boarding places. The kennels here are very large with the option to go in and out. Other kennels we looked into did not have half the amount of space that Toby's kennels have. The pricing was very reasonable compared to other options near us. We didn't need to use the parking but thought that was a terrific option for people that need to drop off their dogs, park and get a ride to DIA. We will definitely be back!! Boarded my dog with Toby for 11 days. My dog was recovering from TPLO in March and we discussed at great length that he couldn't jump, run, get excited or be around ore dogs. She assured me the luxury kennel would be best so he'd have his own small yard and be away from the other dogs. When she picked me up and when I spoke with her on the phone she said he was doing great, but as we pulled onto her road she casually mentioned he was limping severely and I should have an orthopedist check him out. She also told me she gave him pain meds and moved him at some point to a smaller kennel. She was very vague and glassed over the whole issue. When I got him he was barely using his left leg and a visit to the orthopedist confirmed that he tore his cranial cruciate ligament in his left leg. He needs TPLO surgery on his knee and the cost is over 3200$. She is not answering my calls or explaining to me what happened. All I know is that the first 4 days he was fine, per Toby, then he hurt himself. He sat with her 7 days with a torn knee in extreme pain. She did not get him vet care, nor did she contact me to let me know what was happening. I am very disappointed with her lack of communication and care for my dog who became severely injured in her care. read more

Our two dogs loved staying here and we loved the convenience of being able to park your car here and avoid parking costs and DIA. Toby's shuttle service to and from DIA was an added bonus. One of our dogs is extremely nervous and he was happy to go to Park and Bark and was happy when we picked him up. It's a smaller and more personal boarding facility and Toby is clearly a dog lover. We were forced to look for a new boarding facility after our normal go-to place went out of business. We are so glad we found Toby! She is amazing and the property is quiet and serene. I boarded my two dogs here and they came home happy and un-phased by having been boarded. In the past, at other facilities, I would pick up my dogs and they would be skittish for a few days after coming home. Not after being with Toby, it was like the dogs were with a family friend because they were so comfortable with her form the get-to. I have a medium-sized terrier who boarded at DIA Park and Bark while I was traveling. The kennels are much, much larger than at other places, giving the dogs plenty of space to walk around inside and out. Toby is a wonderful person and did a great job with Nelson (our dog) and Lucy (our cat). Nelson was able to play with other dogs in a big yard and had his own private yard available to him around the clock. Lucy seemed to enjoy her three story cat condo and was in very good spirits when we picked her up although she was glad to see us. As I write this review, Nelson is munching on one of the wonderful homemade treats Toby gave him as a going away present. Toby even gave Nelson a complimentary bath and grooming as he stayed with her for 16 days. Lucy was also groomed and looked great when we picked her up. We were able to park our car (at no additional charge) at Toby's place and she transported us to the airport and picked us up on our arrival. Very reasonable rates and terrific service. We will definitely utilize Toby's wonderful pet service in the future, we could not be happier with the service Nelson and Lucy received and the service we received. We have a 71 pound shepard mix who we have never had to board. I am so glad that we found park and bark because they have been so great to her. Toby was cautious at first to take our 19-month old Siberian husky, as the breed can be challenging. However, she took a chance on Blue, after I described his demeanor, temperament and experience with boarding. Toby agreed to try and we couldn't have been happier. Blue spent 5 days at the kennel while we were out of town. He was true to his Husky self, and still Toby saw a dog that is well socialized and he recognized her as someone to trust, and immediately made himself at home. We requested a bath and blow out at the end of the stay, and when we picked him up, he was happy and cleaner than I can remember - he still smells good after more than a week. She has a true gift with animals, and knows dogs both by breed and as individuals. Selfishly, I didn't want to have her place well known so we could have first dibs in the future; however, she is a business I would recommend to anyone seeking to board their dog. read more

I decided to give DIA Park & Bark a try after having using a "Doggy Day Care" place for a number of years and not being happy. I was looking for a nice compromise between a traditional kennel and some place with a little less structure (but not too little structure as in doggie day care). I have been very happy. It is a very small kennel, and Toby keeps it very clean, air conditioned, and well kept. She takes care of my dog as she were her own. When we moved to CO we were recommended to DIA Park and Bark by a friend who told us, "You will love it, they have room to play, get tons of attention, and are really well cared for". He was correct in every way. Our 2 pups have spent tons of time with Toby and each time we feel confident that they are getting exercise, getting plenty of time outside, and being well loved. We have used Serengeti Animal Boarding at least three times and, up until this point, our experience has been very pleasant. Toby Bradford, the owner and primary caretake, obviously loves animals and is very attentive to their needs. She owns a "Park and Bark" about 20 minutes away from DIA and one of her services includes escorting her clients to the airport (you drop off your pet, park your car on her property and she drives you to your terminal). It was convenient, and she is very reasonably priced compared to other boarding facilities. We felt more than comfortable leaving our St. Bernard in her care. During our dogs last stay at Serengeti, my husband and I were going through a separation. We were both out of state dealing with marriage and legal issues, and our plans changed several times due to unforseen circumstances. We kept in contact with Ms. Bradford almost daily (we have phone records to prove it), yet Ms. Bradford left multiple threatening voicemail messages (which we both still have, should a legal situation arise) and told us she would be involving an attorney. We had always paid Ms. Bradford- she had no foundation on which to base her assumption that we were "dumping the dog and skipping out on paying her". She viciously attacked both my character, and that of my husband. I understand her frustration, but her remarks were spiteful, unprofessional, and almost psychotic. She continued to change her story, claiming she never heard our voice mails or saw any sign of us trying to contact her, though later, she said even her son listened to our voice mails. We will definitely never use Serengeti again, nor will we recommend it to any friends. Though she is wonderful with animals, she is incredibly unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and spiteful in dealing with clients. read more

I feel SO greatful to have found DIA Park and Bark! I was having some trouble with my 2 male dogs getting along and was afraid to leave them together while I was out of town so brought my youngest to stay here with Toby. She worked with him and provided him with some socialization as well we gave me some great information and contacts to help me get my dogs to get along again! Harleys stay was great. He was so happy when I dropped him off and even went to give Toby kisses when we left! I can tell that she really cares for the dogs well while we are away. She made him homemade dog treats and even sent some home with us. I like to joke that Harley is going to grandmas house because that really is how it feels! Wouldnt board him anywhere else and SO pleased with the services here. Also super helpful to use the park and ride option if you are going to be gone more than a few days.
