He also explained that pipe replacement may eventually be needed down the line, which I actually appreciated because it gives us time to prepare and start saving for that process. Another thing I found really helpful was his suggestion to purchase extra flooring planks now while they're still available, since matching flooring years later can be difficult if pipes ever need to be accessed under the floor.
