Middle of the road spa in Koreatown most notable for their Korean body scrub treatments. I appreciate the reviews that are upfront, to help set expectations. Had a good experience by going on an off day at an off time, and focused on the saunas and body scrub only. The soaking tubs are quite shallow, any average height or even shorter would only have water up to right below chest level. So that was disappointing when trying to soak before the scrub. The tubs were not full or hot in the late morning, which was another inconvenience. And the women's floor wet sauna is broken and appears to have been for a long time. Overall the place is old and rundown but not in a truly terrible way. Service was good, not rushing or overbearing, which made the other inconveniences fine. Perhaps it's cultural, but the body scrub room would benefit from simple divider screens between tables--multiple different people can be in the one body scrub room/area at one time. Staff walk in and out freely opening the 'door' (curtain) to the area throughout. Scrub was thorough. You sign a simple waiver when arriving. Walk ins are accepted and plenty of days and times when it's not busy. With realistic expectations, you could find what you're looking for here and it could be worth a try.

My sister in law and I came here for a body scrub for the first time ever so we weren't sure what to expect.. however we left with glowing skins and just so relaxed before we got back to reality. Once you check in, you're given a pair of plastic slippers to wear for your stay and escorted to the locker room to change into.. you're suppose to be completely nude (we went before it was co Ed so women only on our floor) under your robe. So.. that's exactly what I did but you can keep your bathing suit on too. First stop.. dry sauna. So apparently it's suppose to be a no talking zone. They need to put a sign up or something bc a lady angrily walked out as we were chatting lol. Oops? It was our first time so like.. somewhere an etiquette sheet should be posted lol. It was nice to sweat through the dry heat though. Next up.. wet sauna. You're hit by a powerful blast of like herbal steam. I don't think I can last more than a minute there but they do encourage you to do it for 5 min. Jacuzzi pools.. uh.. I don't know how sanitary this part is and people do go in fully naked and idk if they shower beforehand or not but we felt kinda icky so got out pretty quick. Body scrub time.. so you're laid on top of a plastic massage chair faced down and they just do a light scrub to get rid the ickiness from the last person (who is there in their bday suit) so if you're a germaphobe.. idk how you'd feel BUT it is all soap and you are gonna get an intense body scrub and smell really good so I mean. All good! My lady was "beautiful heidi" who is incredible!! She kept complimenting me and just giving me the best scrub of my life.. all your dead skins will melt away (yuck!!) and best part is the hair massage.. because 1. Who loves washing their own hair and 2. You smell amazing after. Lasted maybe an hour? Idk but the exfoliation was amazingly!!! We also got the facial service and uh be ready for your entire face to be CLEAN. I have 0 blackheads and my eyebrows are nice and plucked. Holy crap is my skin baby soft.. like.. why have I not been doing this my entire life! Highly recommend you try this.. you also get barley tea and fruits before or after your massage. Great for girls spa day or couples relaz

    Dinky elevator.

Do not come here. Their price on their website is vastly different than when in person. The Asian staff was rude and passive aggressive. The receptionist was the only nice one. The air smelled of mildew the second you get off the elevator. There are only like what? ONE tub that's filled (weirdly enough with lemons) and NO jets in the hot tub. The spa is boring and the vibe is so eerie. a bunch of showers, the salt room was HORRIBLE! It's just a little warm room and salt in some baskets. Huh??? This was nothing like a traditional Korean spa. There's two floors which you won't know about unless you do some of your own snooping around. It's really just a poor design, and on to top it all OFF?? There was some guy in the igloo sauna who was touching himself. WHAT THE F?????????????????? Never going back here!!!!! It was such a rip off!!! Service? None.

Minor bday package, instead of champagne they can provide juice/fruit/tea

I contacted this spa on a whim one morning to see if a 17 yo can go with an 18 yo (some spas don't allow that). The woman who answered the phone was so helpful, had great customer service, answered all of my questions. I was able to make a reservation and my daughter and her friend had the best time celebrating her birthday in the city. She shared it was a vibe, they offered fresh fruit and water and gave a little gift for her bday. Now I can't wait to visit for myself. Thank you!

It's great and wonderful that it's open 24 hours. I've seen Maria who's amazing and would return to her anytime. Didn't catch the name of my second masseuse but will update when I return. Of course the facilities are very nice. Lots of different options for steam room and the one sauna is nice and hot. However, I was really disappointed by the salt rock cave as it was not hot at all and there was one large man sitting right in front of the heating element in that room so that was a real downside. I really love the salt rock caves in Koream spas my hometown of Honolulu. They are hot and surround you with the soft glow of that Himalayan rock crystals all around. Other pluses were the creamy pineapple offered at the end of a treatment --the variety tasted like a low acid pineapple, which are hard to find in Hawaii where I live, This was served along with lukewarm corn tea immediately after I finished my massage I didn't opt for a scrub the first week I was in New York City because my skin is very sensitive when I transition from the subtropics to a dry climate like the New York winter. I will say that I thought things were a bit pricey especially after already spending $155 for a 60 minute massage and then getting told I would be up charged another $50 if I chose to use the spa to me that's just much Too much l...in Hawaii. The admission to spa amenities is included in a full package so for example in Honolulu, 130 for a scrub and massage includes admission to use the sauna, steam, and tubs. I do not like that it's coed after 5 PM. It seems to me that with the size of this place they could easily divide men and women and not have the genders mixed every night after 5 PM I guess it just seems a little odd to me when the majority of those attending are women anyway. Overall, I would definitely return, but I will need to make sure it's in the budget!

Sooo. I feel like the reviews do not do this place justice. It is a bit pricey but it's private and me and my man had an extremely intimate time there. They had the couples massage package with the jacuzzi that did it have fruits or flowers but I brought my own and also an extra bottle just in case the champagne was wack like in the reviews but it was a crisp Prosecco that worked for me. The service was great and although the pools were not open after the massage we enjoyed some alone time in the saunas. I would go back for a birthday or special occasion and like that they are open 24/7

Complimentary champagne, 3 mini pools, tent like steam room (all can be seen behind me)
    Christy J.

This spa is literally one room with an igloo/ sauna, 3 mini pools (1 hot, one filled with lemon and the last was cold) and a tent like steam room. It's definitely not worth the price. You're better off heading to sojo or even spa castle. We were provided robes, slippers, a glass of champagne, bottled water and pineapple juice. There was a locker room and a few seating areas. The massage area is just a area within the same room blocked off by a folding panel wall. With a flickering light. They tried, but no cigar. $85 for 3 hours. Unfortunately 3 hours was too much time for what was made available to us. I do not recommend.

Do you ever have co-Ed clothing optional times?

What is the context of the body scrub? Do i have to sit in a tub with other people? What is used for the body scrub and will I be completely naked around other people? I don't mind that just need a full picture so that I know what to expect. Thanks.

You do not sit in a tub with other people during the scrub. You are lying on a padded table in a separate scrub area, and the entrance to the area is blocked by a folding screen so that people in the general area can't see in. You will be seen naked… Read more

Do they give you private time with your partner after the couple massage?

Is there a comfortable place to read and hang out like in bigger Korean spas?

Not really.... I wouldn't recommend this SPA at all trust me go elsewhere :)

Are there men only hours or floors?

No! I wouldn't recommend this SPA at all its not the best for the price you pay....

    Is there wifi?

No there isn't & I wouldn't recommend this SPA! Go elsewhere save your money/ time.

Can we purchase day pass for sauna and steam room?

    Yes

Are appointments necessary in the evenings?

We do recommend to schedule an appointment ahead of time, however walk-ins are often available.

Are the massages for couples done privately?

Yes, massages are done in private rooms.

Can i be nude in co ed areas?

Hi Brian, No, swimwear is required at co-ed facilities. We do provide disposable options at no charge.

Me and my husband are coming for the couple package.anything we should bring to enhance our experience / make ourselves more comfortable?

You are not required to bring anything, we provide robes, towels, slippers, disposable swimwear and shower caps if needed.

I wanted to love this place? I feel I need a do over. I wanted a spa like tranquil calm vibe. Hot saunas, clean soaks and a great Korean scrub. I felt it was not personal, nurturing, loving and rejuvenating .. sad cause there's not many here in NYC.

I must say that the whole "personal/nurturing" vibe is not what you're going to find at one of the Korean spas. They are usually "all business" maybe it's just a cultural thing. The tranquility/com five etc. needs to come from within. I'm not saying… Read more

She set me up with some calming tea and brought me to a private changing area with a locker for my belongings. Everyone in the vicinity checked in to make sure I was doing ok. I was worried that because I had arrived late, I would eat up some of my massage time. No siree! They moved my massage to start when I was ready to begin. I booked the 90 minute Nuansa classic massage. You know how some places start the clock before you've sat down and finish the massage early (aka you pay for an hour and it's only about 45 minutes)? Well! That's not the case here! I got all 90 minutes of my massage. The massage itself: not to be believed. Lukkana started by saying "time to relax". And boy did I. Let me tell you one thing about me - I have the most ticklish legs of anyone I've ever met. Usually, when I have my legs massaged, I kick a hole in the wall and the masseuse files for a lawsuit (this is an exaggeration). Well! Somehow, Lukkana was able to work the muscles in my leg without triggering my dainty ticklish reflexes. I was astonished! Then, you know how sometimes you ask for a firm touch and you get jelly hands? Or the other way around and you're walking out with bruises? WELL - Lukkana made me feel immensely relaxed WHILE ALSO really working the tissue. What a novelty. She finished up with a scalp massage, which is truly the way to my heart. 11 out of 10. Would recommend. Thank you so much for making my day.
