Just like the other reviews, I would give her more stars if I could. I also was in the time crunch, with a checkerboard of samples, and my neighbors and myself where scratching our heads. I knew what I didn't want, but not what I wanted. I needed a modern light color, but not white, taupe, beige or grey. She gave me a choice of 2, and I let my husband pick, and I love it, and my neighbors have complimented the color. We called her back to ask her to just pick the pots, lighting, front door etc and I feel so happy when I drive up to my home. She has a gift. I will be calling her again when we tackle the kitchen. Unbelievable!! Janice came to my home and helped be select colors and ideas for my remodel. I was going to paint the kitchen cabinets white and bring in that color into a half bath, Janice said don't bring the kitchen into your bathroom. She was so right!! It's been 5 years since I left my first 5-star review and since then I've had the pleasure of working with Janice two more times. The second time I called her I was faced with an unexpected renovation on my parents' house in The Villages. We'd had the house on the market for more than a month when suddenly we were faced with a burst pipe under the kitchen slab flooring which caused flooding and damage to all the flooring in the kitchen, family room & living room. Plus the sheetrock walls were damaged and some of the kitchen cabinetry. This led to a remodel (which I'd hoped to avoid initially) and I knew I had to get Janice's help. Long story short, Janice picked out an amazing color scheme for new flooring, carpeting, wall color, painted kitchen cabinets and beautiful marble for the kitchen countertops. Then to top that off, we used all her contractor recommendations AND her Real Estate Agent! Everyone was top-notch and for the cherry on top, the house sold as soon as it hit the market and for $300k more than the original asking price! Janice is amazing! I knew I wanted certain exterior paint colors but was having a hard time finding the right ones -- every time I brought more samples home, they didn't look like what I was aiming for due to our particular sun exposure, etc. By the time I finally called Janice, I had more than a dozen samples and didn't want to make one more trip to the paint store. When Janice arrived, I showed her what I had tried so far, and explained what I was going for. In a very short time, she selected colors that were absolutely perfect. Given how much time and energy I'd spent trying to find certain shades, I wouldn't have believed someone could find the right colors so quickly if I hadn't seen her do it. (And even though I had the same brands' paint decks, none of the ones she chose were ones I had even looked at!) She also helped me pick some colors for the interior. Janice really is an expert at what she does and since she works with color every day, she's able to hone in on what you're looking for quickly. For exteriors, she takes into account your roof and paving as well as your hardware, and makes sure that what she recommends looks good with those other elements. Inside, she looks at what you already have, and does the same thing. After our visit, she also got samples of the colors she suggested and painted sample boards for me. Completely overdue, but Janice turned our house into a completely new space! When we bought our house, it has dark accent walls, and bright purple/green bedrooms. Janice is amazing! She truly has a gift when it comes to color. I have struggled for years to find a paint color that would look good in my kitchen and throughout the house. The backsplash in my kitchen is difficult to coordinate with - most painters I've talked to want to use a color for the walls that makes everything look yellow. Janice took a quick look at my kitchen and the rest of the house, and within minutes she suggested 3 color choices (I was looking for a creamy white color). A few days later, she dropped off paint samples and swatches. I ended up choosing the one that we both liked best, and my house has been completely transformed - from one that had different colors in every room to one that looks clean, fresh, warm, and calm/peaceful! It looks like a completely different house, and I love it! The color looks wonderful in my kitchen - and it toned down the yellow in the backsplash so it looks more neutral/beige. But picking colors for the whole house is a pretty daunting task and we wanted to make sure it was right. I just could not believe that we were able to pick out colors for our house in an hour. She came to my home and I laid out several ideas of home furnishings and what I hoped to achieve decor and ambiance wise in my living and adjoining dining room. After a couple of days, she got back to me and gave me four different color choices that she thought would work.
