The attached is two different services. One on my first date with my wife. Another for my birthday. The receipts for the wrap is the older one. That visit was a wonderful 4.8 However. Today's visit comes after their MLK Day southern food (mind you we got the itis and hit a coma. And had the bedt banana pudding dish). We had their gluten free cauliflower chx ranch pizza lovely presentation. Melting sauces with flavor. And the chx just right. With a drissle of Sriracha with their ranch, I was able to experience a nice sweet kick as well as the tasteful pizza. We enjoyed their Boylan soda. And when I asked about birthday specials (see attached), I was surprised to be belittled a fully dessert dish unlike anything I've gotten from restaurants! And lets be real, other restaurants NEVER give more than a SLIVER of dessert. I received a generous thankful helping and I loved it. Can I get this whipped cream recipe!?! 5 stars. 10 out of ten. Delicious food and so many great options!! We got açaí bowls and split the cheese curds and the Philly roll. I still think about that Philly roll and it is now 3 days later, definitely get that! There were tons of things we wanted to try but I guess we will just have to make a point to go back someday (we were on a trip to Madison!). The restaurant is located upstairs and it has tables with nice window seating which is where we sat and enjoyed looking down onto the street for people watching. You can order from your phone or have the server take your order. Ordering from your phone is great because it makes it easy to just order separately if you want to pay separately and you can also just leave when you are done because you've already paid when your ordered. read more

A lovely vegan restaurant right on state street! I've been obsessed with their Buffalo wings for the past month and finally tried some of their other flavors. All delicious but the Buffalo wings reign supreme! The wings even have a little bamboo stick so you can tear the peices off like a real wing (amazing). They have a huge menu with so many options I struggled to choose! Everything looked so so delish. The strawberry shortcake and southwest burger were also super tasty. I also have had their seasonal/speciality shakes before and as a dairy drinker I think they are absolutly amazing even without the dairy! The ambiance in the restaurant is really cute and I love the way they decorated the space. The space is also very clean. Food came out super quick and the ordering process is via QR code which made it easy and quick to order and check out. I got the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. They skimped a bit on the mushrooms and onions. I like having a party in my mouth and I feel like Just Veggiez under seasons. Adding salt and pepper really helped bring out the flavor profile. I also like my fries a bit crispier, these are sort of soft and airy, also unsalted. That might be an intentional choice so people can add to their liking. The food to me is really a 3.5 right now but I like the vegan concept and do still plan on coming back. It's on the second floor above It'sugar so they may have a tough time being noticed, hope they can make it. I liked Tenko Tea which was in this location before but I think struggled with the lack of visibility. read more

Pretty awful experience all around. I was driving through Madison on way to the Twin Cities and planned to stop at the Green Owl as I have before. Sadly it was Boxing Day so they were closed. Looked up "Best vegan" and found Best Veggiez. Ordered online via Grub Hub (had to choose an app) and drove over from Green Owl and arrived just in time per what the online msg said! Parked at a meter and forgot to add $$ since I was going to grab my pizza and hit the road again as I had 3.5 hrs to go. Walked over, went upstairs and happily said, "Picking up a pizza!!". The guy just stared at me and said "Did you order it from here?"...I was surprised and said "Yes!" He went in the back and said, "We just got the order; will be 20 min". And no, no apology. I then got a text that now said my order would take 20-30 min. I sat for 25 min freezing as someone had propped open the downstairs door (December 27th) and all the cold air was coming in. After 25 min, the guy came out and handed me a pizza box. I had to ask where utensils were. No "thank you" or "Apologies for the long wait" or "Come back soon when we can make it up to you", "Enjoy the pizza!" or "Can we give you a complimentary cookie, drink or coupon for the trouble?"...nope absolutely nothing. Got to my car and had a $25 pkg ticket, yay. Well, at least I had a pizza for the drive. Opened the box and it was pretty burned, crust and sauce. :-( Grabbed a piece and all the toppings slid right off. :-( Ate a big bite and OMgosh, was horribly over salted, crust and sauce and barely any cheese. Only good thing was a lot of spinach. Overall, it was one of the worst pizzas I have ever eaten. Just Veggiez always posts updates on menus on their Instagram! They have delivery days, and right now food truck Friday's and then some pop ups on Sunday. I went on the site to order the burrito meal today for delivery. The order was slightly confusing bc it was giving a different date of the delivery but I put a note just in case. I got the burrito meal (which was also 25% off, check their IG!) and it was delivered on time and contactless delivered like I asked. I got a text when the food was outside and voila! Time for lunch! I loved all the sides they offered along with the burrito! There was elotes corn that had some citrus notes, some sweet potatoes, and Mexican rice. There was also sides of guac and sour cream too. The burrito was filled with veggies and you can pick your own 'protein which I got the beyond meat. The burrito was nicely pan fried and wrapped where it didn't fall apart. I was stuffed afterwards and for all this was under $15 (which also includes the delivery and tip), this is an amazing deal! I've heard great things about their vegan wings that I really want to try next! I had my hopes up a little too high for this one! I moved here from a town with a lot of vegan options, so I was prepared to be wowed. Their seitan has a long way to go; it honestly tastes like spicy bread. I was just going to go with the original chicken sandwich but they asked if I wanted the original or buffalo and I asked how hot it was, and I explained that I am a big sissylala when it comes to hot food, and they said it wasn't too hot at all. WOOF. It wasn't the hottest thing I've ever eaten, but I definitely couldn't finish it! Haha. I did appreciate the really good buns that the sandwiches came on. Shout out to the bread trying to pull the weight for the rest of these sandwiches, but it didn't quite cut it. The sides: The potato salad wasn't bad at all. Not the greatest, but not bad. I'd give it 4/5. The macaroni and cheese? Noooo. This was turmeric and noodles. And I appreciate a good dash of turmeric here and there, but this was just turmeric and nutritional yeast and salt on some overcooked elbow noodles. All in all, I love what this place is trying to do, I love Black owned, family owned, ALL VEGAN restaurant, and next time maybe I'll try something else, but these weren't it for me, personally, but I do highly encourage everyone else to go here, give it a try, and make up your own minds. read more

I cannot believe how lucky we are to have this incredible, black-owned, vegan restaurant on State Street! It is sooo fun to be able to look at a menu and be able to order ANYTHING on it! Food: For a vegan spot, out of this world main dishes. I got the Korean BBQ sandwich, and I couldn't tell you what the "meat" was, but it hit the spot. My friend got the Southwest Burger and raved about how juicy it was in comparison to other beyond meat options. We both were underwhelmed by the sides (and honestly just didn't eat them). The mac n cheese didn't taste like much and the chili was a bit sour, but not bad. Storefront: We didn't get any utensils or napkins, so that would be a nice addition, since it is takeout only. It is also a shared kitchen sort of storefront, so you have to call when you get to the door and someone comes out with the food. So the experience of this place isn't amazing, but if you're a vegan and are looking for good grub, I do think it's worth trying. read more

The meals we got were generously portioned, very tasty, and kept well for a few days in the fridge. When I forgot to select specific option off the menu (sleep deprivation) Just Veggiez would simply select three meals and drop them off so we didn't have to go without. First tried Just Veggiez at Madison's VeganFest at MATC and was blown away by their fried "chicken" drumsticks which tasted just like a drumstick, even though all of their offerings were plant-based/vegan. They're the type of vegan restaurant that will actually put a stick in the "chicken" drumstick to make it seem like a real drumstick. From there, I was so impressed by their menu, the variety, and their ability to make usual meat-based favorite dishes into just-as-tasty vegan dishes. I recently got a chicken sandwich meal delivery during COVID and was not disappointed, the amount of food I got for the price was well worth it! I placed my order via email but I believe they now have a website and instagram presence with which you can place delivery orders. It looks like their menu is always growing with different items so there is a lot to pick from and try out! My new favorite place for plant based vegan take out! I had the BBQ sandwich for lunch a few weeks ago, absolutely mouthwatering. The vegan cheese curds are out of this world, you have to try them for yourself. Unreal! Love the spicy dipping sauce too. Recently had a get together catered and Chef James did a wonderful job separately packaging and labeling all the meals. Gluten free options, too! The southern fried drumsticks come with a "vegan bone" wood doweling inside. All the guests loved it and commented on the great taste and texture. It's hard to win over a crowd of both omnivores and lifelong vegans, but Just Veggiez did just that! I would give six stars if I could. Amazing food! read more
