I got the pad Thai Togo. I waited about 20 minutes. The pad Thai was wrapped in foil in a Togo box. It was really liquidly almost like noodles in a broth. It lacked any real flavor. Both were bland and nothing to write home about. For the price I had hoped to see more for the pad Thai and especially for the drunken noodles. I had one piece of basil in mine, a piece of cabbage, and a few sliced carrots. Noodles were bland without much taste. We spent almost $20 a dish because we chose shrimp instead of chicken or beef and I was seriously disappointed. Five shrimp tossed in the corner and not even mixed into the dish. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but there are many other places with more flavorful and well dressed Thai dishes in Columbus! read more

I studied abroad in Thailand for a month, and my husband and I both lived in New York, surrounded by delicious Thai options. Our dinner at Just Thai was one of the better Thai meals we've ever had. The service was outstanding, and we loved our friendly, jovial host. His recommendation to stir some chili paste into the sauce for our spring rolls ("fresh rolls") was spot-on. We also had the green curry and panang curry. Wouldn't change a thing! Absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back. Bonus: the sign in their bathroom was a treat. :D read more

When I saw the photos from a year or two ago the Pad-See-Ew was not dark like mine was. The Pad-See-Ew I got was extremely over seasoned and salty. They must have changed cooks because even the color of the food is different. Very disappointed I was really looking forward to enjoying the Pad-See-Ew. I had to drink so much water because of how salty the noodles were. Not sure if other people just like salty food, but if you do you don't have to look any further. I give it 2 stars one for good customer service and the other star is for the soup and pho those where actually good. Other than that the fresh spring roll wasn't anything special they used jerky chicken. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite at lunch on a weekday. Place was nicer inside than I would've thought given how it looked on the outside, typical strip mall look, dated on the outside. Inside was kind of bare but clean orderly. Waitress was somewhat tentative at first, but then kind of ignored us towards the end as far as refills on our drinks even though she wasn't busy. I ordered the drunken noodles, Thai hot with less oil. Food was kind of average, decent heat but no real flavor. Almost no veggies which was very disappointing. Overall, just average. Just Thai is only open for takeout right now (June 2020). They have a drive through window and will hand you a menu to order from. They close at 7:30pm. This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in town because the food is delicious, large portions, and cheap. Highly recommended! read more

Ordered take out from here to support a local business during covid. Unfortunately food was disappointing. I judge Thai places by the pad Thai. At Just Thai, there is just no favor, basically tasted like bland noodles. We asked for 2/3 spice this was more like a 0/3. The red curry was also 2/3 and seemed to be the right level of heat. Not clear why the inconsistency. I've also had satay chicken at no less than 10 different restaurants, this might have been the worst. Should be marinated, grilled, skewered tender breast meat with fresh peanut sauce. Instead we got runny chopped chicken with some odd runny peanut sauce. But we also specifically asked for no bamboo in the red curry and ofcourse, they put bamboo anyway. Overall favor profile was better for the curry than the pad Thai. Easily one of the top 3 restaurants in Columbus, Ga. The food comes from one recipe, which only one person knows. Fresh product hauled in from Atlanta markets. Any and every one of the broths used in Just Thai is hot, exquisite, and soul soothing. The spring rolls are my favorite. There are friendly staff, and the woman who runs the operation is just so sweet and it comes out in the food. You don't have to be an Asian cuisine fanatic to appreciate this place, but if you are, you might have just stumbled across the place of your dreams. You pay for the taste and freshness here, portions could be bigger from a foodie point of view but it will be enough to fill normal portion eaters. Food: SPICY... But very tasty...if you dont eat spicy often... Tell them so they know how spicy to make it for you and have water handy. The food is very fresh and made hot and is excellent. My gf eats spicy and loved it- I was told to save the menu as we are definitely going back- no arguments there! It was just a little less spicy for me as I cannot handle heat as well as I thought (I had 2 chilis in my drunken noodles and they can put 4). I noticed the stellar Yelp reviews and thought I would give them a try. As it was between 4PM and 5PM on a Friday afternoon I was the only person in the restaurant. Very clean (they have a 100 health department rating) the space is spare but pleasant. I started with a superb shrimp coconut soup. It was delicious and very generous with both shrimp and mushrooms. I also had a Thai iced coffee that was excellent. I finished with a beef green curry. Very tasty and it had some heat. All in all Just Thai jumps to the top of my list for Thai food in Columbus. And this is obviously a small, single family operation and my inclination is to say nothing. But the food was unimpressive. I was here for lunch, paid a little over $11 for my meal and felt....cheated. I could have gone to a Chinese restaurant, paid $5 or $6 bucks and had a better meal. Was looking for a great place to eat while visiting my cousin in Columbus and came across this place. I normally get the Pad Thai in other places, so I figured I would try it here. I also usually get extra peanut sauce which they didn't have, but to be honest, it didn't need it. It was the perfect blend of salty and sweet. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because my cousin didn't get what he ordered. This Thai restaurant is good, one of the best in Columbus. Not the best Thai I've ever had but I would recommend it. Their food is rich and flavorful with a good amount of heat which I liked. We liked the clear broth at the beginning of the meal too. I ordered the panang curry which was very runny and I didn't like that. Curry should be slightly thickened. The rice was also overcooked as well as the vegetables. This Thai restaurant wasn't as fresh as I would have liked.
