We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at my favorite Thai restaurant. We couldn't believe the decoration at the establishment for the occasion: fresh roses at every table, heart-shaped balloons, and a huge bouquet of flowers at the register. We love coming to Thai and Thai for lunch. I always get a curry & the green curry is my favorite. The portion size of food for their lunch is very reasonable for the price. I love the fresh chunks of veggies, cooked but not overcooked, and the chicken in it is plentiful. If you like spicy though, get level 3, because i find that level 2 is still pretty mild. The restaurant feels clean & comfortable. The servers are nice & attentive. When i come with my mom or husband, we always have a pleasant experience and leave feeling satisfied. read more

Thai and Thai has some of the best Thai food in Columbus. My wife and I have driven over 30 minutes to get here from Pine Mountain when we get a craving many times. For authentic Thai food- and Thai heat- look no further! Although the food is great, I write this review specifically about their customer service this evening. To preface, we are fairly tolerant with spice, and prefer our Thai cuisine with a little kick. Last time we ordered our usual: Chicken Red Curry for me, and Chicken Pad Thai for her, both at a spice level 2/5. It was very flavorful, but not quite spicy enough. Tonight we ordered those meals as well as an additional Tom Yum soup, all at a 3/5. We are ashamed to admit to you, and the restaurant, that it was too hot to eat for us. Panting, sweaty, and embarrassed, we called to see if they could remake our order, and they did! Overall wonderful and understanding customer service. Thank you Thai and Thai! Dish was full of flavor, with shrimp. Spice level 2 was very spicy! Definitely going with a LEVEL ONE the next time (a warning would have been great)! Friend and I wanted some Thai food today and found this gem in Columbus. As soon as you walk in, the restaurant is clean and organized. The Sushi bar is a high top counter in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen. I ordered the Garlic Chicken and asked for Thai hot. The spice was perfect and the sauce was very well done. Not too salty which is a common problem when at a Thai restaurant sometimes. I also got the basil rolls which were absolutely delectable. Our service was friendly and amicable. Don't be turned away by the location in a strip type shopping center. The restaurant is very clean, a little dark but still very nice. Service is excellent and the won ton soup is obviously made with homemade dumplings stuffed with shrimp and chicken. Wonderful broth with fresh vegetables. The spice was definitely on the hotter side so if you don't like it hot, ask for level 1. The Pho noodle soup was perfect for the current rainy cold weather...I would have liked a little more basil, but it was still delicious. The yellow curry (chicken) was delectable and the sauce was exactly the right consistency. The beef pad prik was nicely done with their flavorful chili sauce. BEST THAI FOOD IN TOWN I've been to all the Thai food places in Columbus this is by far the best in town. For appetizer the calamari is amazing the tempura batter could make anything amazing. For entrees the Panang curry with chicken is the best I've had, drunken noodle with chicken and extra sauce is just as good. Their cashew nut is wonderful and if you want to splurge the crispy basil duck does not disappoint. For kids the sweet and sour chicken or sesame chicken is great or for people who don't like any spice. They have a wonderful coconut cake from scratch that is fantastic. Ive been to Thai restaurants from Cali to Colorado to Florida to Charleston. And this is right there with the best in the country. They will not disappoint. When we walked in we were greatly quickly by a very nice Caucasian female waitress. I wish I could remember her name! She really made us feel welcomed and comfortable. This place is excellent! They're kind of new, but service is really good and the chef really makes delicious and beautiful dishes. I had the yellow curry which is one of my favorite Thai dishes (because it has potatoes). My husband had a lamb dish that was so flavorful but a little too spicy for me. We did not realize that we had eaten here before. Had we known we may have skipped over it. I'm glad we didn't. They've recently remodeled the place. The restrooms are clean and the place is more open now. The prices are reasonably set if not a tad on the plush side, nothing to bankrupt you. The sauce was not that sweet red syrup you get at other Asian restaurants; this sauce was very good and complimented the Spring Rolls perfectly. I had the Drunken Noodles with Chicken. Rating of two peppers was an apt rating. My spouse had the Combination Fried Rice with Chicken, shrimp, and beef. He describes it as a little bland but some soy sauce perked it up. The rice was a little soft for fried rice. My Drunken Noodles on the other hand were perfectly seasoned and spicy. It was the type of spicy that did not burn your mouth but produced a gentle sweat as the meal progressed. The noodles were not overcooked and the vegetables had that pleasant crunch that suggested cooked and not raw. The only downer was our wait person. While other couples were allowed to pay at the register, ours suggested that we pay at the table. Some minorities will find this insulting as if they believe we intend to skip out on the check. Oh well. That momentary downer will not deter us from eating there again on our next visit to Columbus. read more

We had the seaweed salad, shrimp in a blanket and TomKha soup for appetizers; all were pretty good , specially the TomKha soup (excellent). Our entrees however were mediocre at best. We had the tiger roll and Thai steak. The roll didn't taste very fresh and the ribeye steak was mostly fat but the sauce that comes on the side of the steak in delicious. Their Thai tea was excellent. I ordered hot sake but they didn't have the containers ready to be served hot, so our server suggested the Tyku sake that's served cold; it was my first time trying it so I was skeptical but I'm glad I did. I was then told that they had messed up the order and the nigiri tuna they made into 2 tuna rolls. She then proceeded to tell me that she had to take a tuna roll out because like I said they messed up and made two rolls. so after the long wait and the mess up, still paying for all of it I get home to eat and you can visibly see where she "removed" the roll from my take out container and the other two rolls looks like they were sitting in the sauce for over an hour, soggy and mushy tempura.
