TLDR: Really cool growler shop with the biggest selection of craft beer taps in Macon. I'm not from Macon nor do I currently live in Macon, but I sure would want a Just Tap'd near me. The one in Macon is one of two locations Just Tap'd currently has, with the other located in Warner Robbins. Just Tap'd is located in the downtown Macon area and from my experience, it seems like you just park wherever you can find it along the street. Some times are obviously busier than others, but I found a spot on Poplar Street pretty close to the corner that Just Tap'd is located on. Anyway, Just Tap'd has a really great selection of beer available to purchase both for on site consumption and to go. There's quite few bottles and cans of craft beer on the shelves and in the fridge and many of them are from around the southeast U.S. But the most impressive thing about Just Tap'd are the 60 or so taps that they have behind the counter. The beer selection is pretty impressive and there is bound to be something for just about anyone here. If you're undecided on what to choose and/or can't commit to just one, there are flights available here, which give you small pours of several beers that allow you to sample more than one. Many of them will sound appealing to you so I really like this option. Service here is always good and the staff make for a good experience at Just Tap'd. Overall, if you want a place with the best craft beer selection on tap, you need to give this place a try. read more

Overall, the food and beer are great. The only aspect of the experience that is holding this place back is the service/systems for delivering food to the customer. When we ordered our food at the counter, we didn't receive a receipt or a number to indicate where our food should be delivered. I was a little concerned by this, but I figured they would figure it out. Thirty minutes later, I approached the counter to inquire about the status of our food. Before I was able to speak with anyone, I looked back and saw a server wandering around with what looked like our food. After she attempted to serve it to two different parties, I flagged her down and it turned out it was our food. Unsurprisingly, the food was lukewarm at best. Don't get me wrong, the food tasted good, but I think a more efficient system for delivering the food would make this place worth 4 or 5 stars. read more

Hands down the best place downtown for beer selection. Great food too! I love that they are continually working to evolve the menu. The bartenders know a thing or two about beer, So if you get overwhelmed by the number of taps, just tell them what you like, and they can probably choose for you. This bar on a Friday at 6:00 pm had 8 young kids around 6 years old freely running in and out of the bar constantly. Keeping the door open and playing with the parents not paying or controlling them. The management cared less but my adult friends decided to go elsewhere where it was cooler and not a play ground for children. So if you have kid this is a great place for them to roll around on the floor and scream and yell and play. But if your an adult and want a good atmosphere to drink beer and talk, find another establishment. read more

As a lover of craft beers, I was pumped to discover that Macon was getting a growler spot. Since JUST TAPPED has opened I've become a regular. They have 60+ beers on tap and countless rare beers. You can sit back and relax with friends. They have a huge indoor seating area as well as tables and chairs on the sidewalk that you can enjoy on a nice day or evening. On top of great brews, they serve the best pizza in town. If you like thin-crust pizzas, this is the place for you. read more

I don't drink so I can't comment on the beer selection (other than its huge and looks amazing). What I come for is the pizza, which is the best in Macon. It's a true Napoli-style pizza with tomatoes and red peppers from Italy. The crust is light and delicious. The staff is great and it's a fun place to hangout with friends, even if you don't drink. read more

If you are looking for craft beer in Middle GA, look no further. Just Tap'd has the most widespread variety of beer and a location that allows you to savor these finely tailored beverages the way they are meant to be enjoyed. I was not aware until my most recent visit that they also sell pizza. I can't speak to the taste of the pizza, but it looked pretty good. As for the beer, you will be able to choose between three different sizes. The options are all clearly displayed on electronic menu boards labeled with numbers, which comes in handy for all those hard to pronounces hefeweizens. I was in the mood for something light, yet hoppy (an oxymoron, I know). Luckily for me the bartender was able to suggest some great options and I opted for a Georgia based brewery out of Kennesaw. I commend the bartender on his skills as the beer was exactly what I was looking for. The reason that I would not give this place a full 5 star rating is that the pricing is a bit high. I understand that this is part of the state is not the easiest place to find good craft brews and therefore it makes sense to have a slightly higher price point, so I would still recommend Just Tap'd to anyone and everyone. read more

No screaming kids, no annoying families, YES awesome beers. I am not a beer snob or connoisseur but the folks there were super helpful. I just described the kind of beer that I like and they matched me up with a delicious (and pretty damn potent) beer that supplied me with a much appreciated buzz before heading to the show. Great beer but the food was terrible. We ordered the potato skins as an app, and the potato skins had no cheese, it was just the 2 tablespoons of sauce they put in it. We then ordered a pizza, plain and basic - cheese, tomato, basil and it had spots of cheese versus the entire pizza having it. When we claimed it to the kitchen staff they carlessly giggled as if it were "a thing" . The loss of quality in the kitchen is a true disappointment to a true macon staple. read more

Great selection of beers on tap, and they also offer wine and champagne. They offer popcorn and chex mix, too, for a couple of extra dollars. I went yesterday for the first time and was back again today to enjoy my beer out in the sunshine. I'm just going to be frank, here; surely, you must appreciate that sort of honestly. Okay. I won't call you, "Shirley". I think a review that captures the essence of this place and holds it alongside what it purports to be would be a nice way to structure this review. Firstly, let me explain some of my bias: I can cook better than most restaurants. I'm not bragging, it's just a fact. For that matter, so can you, if you tried. However, like everyone else, I like the convenience of going out to eat, even if I'm constantly thinking about how I could do it better and how much I could save by doing so. However, alcohol is a different story. I... I have something of an allergy to paying a huge mark-up on alcohol in order to enjoy it on the premises. Oh, I understand that they must cover their costs, provide them with a profit, et cetera, but I can always just buy alcohol from a retail outlet at a much cheaper price and host people at my house. In doing so, I can save about 60% of the total cost of the night out--and no one has a risk of catching a DUI. So... I wanted to make clear my bias before moving forward. So, as far as I understand, they are going for the concept of a South German beer hall. And that's... fine, I guess. I don't hear any Deutsch, I don't get the same friendly service, and their recommendations vary wildly between specialized craft brews and some rather pedestrian selections. It seems that the recommendations might be based on achieving an inventory turn goals rather than a good faith attempt to steer me to the right beer. And that's... fine, I guess. Achieving your inventory turn targets is one of the reasons why you have specials and discounts, but, in general, you never allow that sort of consideration to corrupt your recommendation process. You really lost a star and a half for that sort of nonsense. I'm sorry I'm not dumb enough to let this slide by me. So, now that we've looked at service and pricing, let's cover ambiance. As a more or less jaded consumer, I'm not a fan of "localized people". "Localized people" are local people that talk big about their immediate surroundings without placing those surroundings in a larger conceptual framework. Both New Yorkers and Texans are stereotypically infamous for this sort of behavior, but Boston people really take the cake. Nothing in the world is ever as good or as bad as where they are from--ughhhh, this sort of myopia is most certainly exhausting. From whatever place they hail, it is, truly, the Castle of Baron Thunder-ten-tronckh of Westphalia--it is the best of all worlds. Those guys, it seems, permanently inhabit this place. No... Infest would be a better word. Following this thread of Voltaire's "Candide" (points to you if you caught the reference before being told), this infestation rather loudly engages in the sort of Panglossian philosophizing that is so hilarious when you read it, but so... very... painful... to actually hear. Much as a fruit fly spends its short life focused on the limited goals of feeding its voracious appetite and reproducing as quickly as possible, these locals seem to focus on the limited goals of (1) loudly playing the part of village idiots come to the city, (2) providing commentary on almost any subject that is as uninformed as it is poorly reasoned, and (3) most importantly, patting each other on the back. Constantly. Yes, you're correct, this a place where those who aspire to mediocrity assemble their mutual admiration society that, through a series of what feels like infinitely right skewed iterations of the Hegelian dialectic, they inexorably move from the synthesis from the reality of their low status to the unreality of their own superiority to all. And such a display compels every right thinking, intelligent person around them to struggle to suppress their gag reflex. Because like it or not, you're on their turf and you must endure this type of revolting behavior if you want to patronize this establishment. And, no, this place does not feature a proper vomitorium so that you may quickly escape. So, let's sum it up: I don't like the prices. I don't like the service. I don't like the ambiance. I think we can all surmise that Stephen C. is a pompous asshole. Just Tap'd is one of a kind in Macon. Other places have popped up in order to mimic Just Tap'd's success. Clearly, they are doing something right. I have had nothing but excellent service from the staff and unless you're stuck up like Stephen C., the ambiance is what one would expect in Macon. Far as finding a place of its diameter here in macon it is one of a kind, there is one similar place but it doesn't allow for drinks to be served on premise. This place has a very wide array of craft tap beers, ales, ciders, and stouts. They even have specialty beers in bottles to be purchased and taken home with you. You can run a tab also if you will be trying several items. They have a open floor plan and outdoor seating which is a bonus for good weather. It is located downtown macon in a less congested area which is also great. The also sell soda pop as when i was there a man was there with his mentally challenged brother and purchased a orange soda which I inquired about thinking it was a beer and he gave me the spill on what he was doing( getting brother pop while he enjoyed beer) and he allowed me to have the remainder in the bottle served in a sample cup which was quite tasty.They have light snacks and games that you can enjoy while you share your brew and chit chat. read more
