The owner (I think) responded to a request for a, quote that Yelp sent out. I got their quote after getting two others, so was starting to deal with them. I had a problem with a different company that I already reviewed. I then had a 2nd message saying: "still waiting for a response." He is correct, I should have written and said I had some quotes first and if they didn't work, I would contact him. After this 2nd message, I wrote back, saying what had happened, and that after having problems or no responses from contractors, I tend to pull back, but that yes I was still interested and provided my info. After telling what happened, you would think this company would want to prove they were different. So what happened? I haven't heard from him again... and yes, it has been several days! I don't know about you, but when I get that kind of response, it makes me wonder what the company would be like if they were given the job. I guess I won't have to worry about it with this company. UPDATE: The owner is correct, he had responded saying they didn't do solar heaters which came in the middle of other replies about pool solar, so it kind of got lost. When he wrote a 2nd time asking if I was still interested, it is my fault. I didn't look to see if he was talking about Pool Solar because that is what I was interested in. I wouldn't think someone not in the business would respond a 2nd time. Still it is my fault, I said yes - thinking it was about the pool. Then it became his fault because after I wrote, about the poor response of contractors, he still didn't respond. Now he leaves a comment asking me not to leave a bad review for a product he doesn't represent. Actually, I didn't. Not once in my review did I say anything about pool heaters. It was mostly about his poor response... which he admits that he should have answered sooner. I mean, when I said I was interested, how would he know that I hadn't decided to go solar and was eagerly waiting for a response. He didn't! He still chose not to respond to someone who theoretically was now asking about a product that is thousands and thousands of dollars. He should have either 1. responded with an appt and a reminder that it was solar for the house, 2. responded in private that again they don't do pool solar and his 2nd email was about interest in house solar or 3. just apologized for not getting back sooner (which he, did in his comment) but then had to go further. Soooo, if I was interested in home solar, how likely would I be to choose this company that doesn't respond to a supposed interested customer, or to a company that writes in public to argue publicly! Can't speak for anyone else, but when I see that, I promise I wouldn't make that call. I just don't get contractors who clearly care less about new business. Maybe they ( all industries) just have so much business they don't need more. Anyone else feel like me? read more
