Today was the day I was planning to recommit to Just Salad so post my workout and a 30 min walk to this location, it seemed promising, spacious, seemed clean. This is around 7:20pm, no lines. I was looking at the menu and there are at least 3 male staff, no greeting, no hi what can I help you with, or what would you like. 2 of them walked away leaving the other guy to attend to me. I ask if I can somehow still order Roasted Turkey or Chicken Cobb Salad. Said no. I'm thinking I can still customize right and about to tell the guy what I want. Instead I said you know what, maybe I'll try one of your summer seasonal salad. I ask if the Honey Crispy Chicken Salad is good, he was like I'm new here. Almost terrified of a recommendation and doesn't know the answer. Shouldn't they know as part of brand education? Training? Anyway, another girl was standing so I ask her the same thing. And that same guy said if I'm new, she's way newer. Kinda proud that his knowledge may be better? Unfortunately I ended up just customizing my salad. So romaine, roasted chicken, a few almonds, hard boiled egg and avocado. Somehow they charged me $18.25 for 'customizing' so much. The thing is given my interaction, I don't trust their product and pricing knowledge. Oh and take a look at how she put the 'hard boiled' egg (which isn't hard boiled btw so I'm actually making hard boiled eggs now for it) on top of my salad like that's its sole purpose. I will say though that the newest girl was at least the nicest and most helpful, appreciate that. Overall, please train your team on brand, product, process, pricing, and customer interaction. It's not meant to be fine dining or all serious but the value proposition is convenience for a good salad that anyone can also make at home but would rather not. The ingredients are so fresh and you can substitute different ingredients from their signature salads. I ordered the balsamic chicken avocado salad. It has corn and I substituted it for quinoa. Come with a whole fresh egg and lots of avocado. I love that you get to choose how much dressing you want. The young gentleman on Monday late afternoon was so kind, patient, and professional. We took ours to go, but the place is nice and clean to be able to enjoy the meal sitting inside. Also ask for a bag with handles if you have a big order, it's easier to carry if you're going far. I ordered 2 times from this place and both times it came with out utensils. Meanwhile I wrote it in the comments. I called to have them deliver me utensils and they said they can't. I ended up throwing in away because I had nothing to eat it with. They said both times they gave me a credit to use but don't know how to access my credit. read more

As you can see in my photo, the bottom of the bowl easily scrapes off when the dressing comes into contact with it. I noticed my salad tasted weird but I couldn't tell what it was. Now I'm seeing that the bowl they use has this stuff that comes off of it and I've been ingesting it. I hope someone takes this to a lab and does some digging... pun intended. read more

I've had the chicken Caesar salad, crispy honey chicken wrap, the spicy chicken poblano salad. All three, so good!! Feels healthy because I can see all the ingredients are added in and looks like real food lol. Better than chipotle imo, also the employees are nice and not stingy at all. 0 stars would be more appropriate instead of the 1 they're lucky to receive. My husband and I ordered 2 salads that we chose our own ingredients. My husband wanted a Cobb salad and the workers said that it only comes with only 1 protein choice, chicken OR egg! Another issue is that they did not have blue cheese! A traditional Cobb salad has all three of these ingredients including blue cheese which they didn't even have! So my husband got both proteins added- the chicken and egg and they charged extra! The salad I ordered was an arugula salad with a bunch of different ingredients which again, they didn't have some of my choices like mozzarella cheese or walnuts! I ended up settling for feta cheese and almonds which- ok fine....the real issue was the amount of balsamic vinaigrette that was pooled up at the bottom of the salad. It was not edible the amount of dressing they poured onto the arugula which ended up shriveling up and got drenched in the dressing. Absolutely gross. The total price we paid for these two salads was $38 !! Absolute ROBBERY for two salads. If we weren't starving after a long drive back to Astoria from a weekend away, I would have went back and complained. He gets to the counter and when he does the worker, Daniela, was on her phone just like the rest of her co-workers were. Daniela then responds once it turned 9PM, with a hostile tone saying they are closed, didn't even let my husband order anything and kept repeating that they were closed. On the website it does say this Just Salad closes at 9:30 PM it doesn't take more than 5 minutes to make a salad. This business needs to pay more attention on who they're hiring because her attitude was absolutely disgusting. Horrible costumer service, I would not recommend this spot. We've gone to multiple Just Salads in the city and they have much respectful accommodating service so choose one from there instead. read more

Lately Just Salad has become by go to spot to get lunch. Their salads are so good. I put on to my friends and collogues and they love it. My favorite Salad is the Crispy Chicken Poblano Salad.
