It tasted like watered down coffee. Maybe its a bit different with hot, but unfortunately the cold coffee was a huge let down. I ended up getting some quikcheck coffee and it was much better (tasted like coffee). Service was nice. They have daily lunch specials (served with rice and salad) for dine in and 50 cents additional for to go orders. I will still come again because the pastries are quick to get, but I dont recommend the cold coffee

Unfortunate to say this location quickly seemed to go downhill sharply in service. Oftentimes…read morereviews about service aren't entirely helpful--they're sometimes one-off experiences or the person is over-particular about service. Unfortunately this is a consistent issue, with instances that were so over-the-top egregious and inappropriate. Some of the team members seem like long-term employees yet lack foundational customer service skills--serving customers who are not next in line, miscounting change, and most unfortunate of all, being aggressively rude to customers unprovoked. Overall, some of the staff have a consistent sense of unhappiness and an air of disdain for the clientele, which is unfortunate. As someone who has a very high tolerance for unhappy, flippant or rude service team members generally, it's rare for people be so poor in customer service that it makes it into a review.

I say this because after looking at numerous menus, I noticed that each one is always missing part of the meal that makes it what it is ( avocado, chicharron, maduro, egg) and this place is included in that. It's the only reason they didn't receive a 5 for my review. What that said, they at least give you the option for the chicharron or chorizo and it comes with avocado ( a lot of places exclude avocado ). Now back to the food; the delivery came timely and was well packaged. I was pleased to see the portion of this as well! Let me start off with the empanada, that was NOT oily at all! Had more meat than potato and I saw the guiso ( that consists of tomato, scallion, etc) that was used to flavor the meat, making this a uniquely rare find of a good empanada. Now let me move onto the frijoles; they were sooooo good and perfectly seasoned which is another rare find. This made me so happy because I feel that this makes or break the dish at the restaurant you eat this dish from. Additionally, the meat was flavored well and the it was just all perfect! It's been months since I have moved and been looking for a new Colombian restaurant and after 4 months and a lot of bad orders, I'm happy to say I found my new go to place.

Pros: One of those classic places where you pick what you want, it's in trays so you can see what you're getting. If you speak Spanish, you'll get along great. But they try their best to work with you - extra patient! Authentic ingredients, including a reddish plantain and yuca in my soup. My friend had delicious onions with his bistec. All at a great price. Cons: Not much space to sit. Food was rather deceptive - the oxtail soup may have been beef based, or else it wasn't oxtail soup because there was no meet to be seen. I should have chosen the chicken soup. But I don't speak Spanish, so I didn't know how to ask what was in it. Also, between the street noise outside and the music inside, I could barely hear anything related to answering what I wanted with my meal. Verdict: I am giving this 4 stars in no small part to counteract the people who think they are being cheated for not knowing Spanish. I am quite sure I got the same quality food and good treatment as anyone else. I value the authenticity of places like this. But I recommend coming with someone who can help translate.
