I used this company for five years. Good value for lawn service. The team truly cares about outcomes.

    Lawn Savers Lawn Care

I'm about to put my house on the market and I knew it was important to get that "curb appeal". I started Googling and Yelping and found several lawn care companies in Anchorage. I had several estimates done on my property and Lawn Savers was by far the lowest. I was hesitant to use their services as there weren't a lot of reviews out there, but figured since they were much lower priced than the others, I'd give them a shot. I called in early April and it was still freezing at night. They said they'd have to wait until it warmed up and they'd email me once they could head out to do the cleanup. He gave me options as far as upgrades and told me how much I could expect it to be and what it would cost to haul the bags away ($3 per bag). Sunday morning, the Lawn Savers truck showed up at my house. I was a bit surprised to see only one person there to do the work and assumed it would take him all day. I was very pleasantly surprised that it took him less than three hours and he did a fantastic job. The poor guy had to bag up 18 lawn bags of crap from my yard. He was very polite and let me know when he was leaving and that he'd be back to pick up the bags the next day. I would absolutely recommend Lawn Savers to anybody looking for yard cleanup. Be sure to check the website to see if they have a deal on there.

These guys do. Which is important to me. The price is perfect. I am moving to a condo and so won't see them again but I recommend them.

When I booked the appointment I told the gal multiple times that I wanted the combined lawns done. She told me that the guy would call me before coming out and to tell him then. He came out unannounced and only did my lawn. It looks ridiculous having only the one portion done. I called to see if the guy could come back out at his convenience, like if he was out there for another job and just finish the lawn. Different gal on the phone when I called. She told me the guy was done and that there were no notes in my booking of my request or even a request to have him call me before he came out. That she'd make a note of it for next year. They made it like I was MY fault and were not considering anything to make it right. Small issue, not made right and because of it, I will not use them again.

They left tufts of grass sticking up, racing stripes and didn't even bother to mow a section. When I called the office to protest such poor work Patrick informed me his best workers did my lawn, that I was only paying 45.00 for a 75.00 dollar job. It took the workers less than 20 minutes to mow/weed eat the lawn, that includes unloading the mower. They no longer do my yard.

My yard had been maintained, merely needed thatching and debris removal. Five people showed up, took 5 hours, mowed a lawn that wasn't even in yet, and didn't say a word. My bill ended up at $644. It would've been more if I hadn't stopped them. I contacted the office to get a better understanding of what they were doing, but they justified the cost just the same. The crew did an excellent job, but I felt the exchange was dishonest.

We decided this year to focus on the front yard for 'Curb Appeal'. I called our Homeowners Association for a good lead referral and they gave me a name. I called but they only did commercial landscaping. So I asked who he'd recommend. After mentioning the company my neighbor used, he said he wouldn't use them, but he suggested I call Kelly! I got 2 bids and the 1st was ridiculously high, near twice what Kelly came back with! Matt took the time to feel our vision out what we wanted and we laid it out and they executed so well! We wanted a gold rock and he sourced it out of Palmer! Sod, in certain areas to get an instant lawn effect, small boulders moved from all around the property to what is going to be a perennial garden for waves of color that comes back year after year, top soil all up front and on the side of the house. Then hydro seeding to keep expenses down. Sod is pricy! Mid June it started, and all but a wild grass mix has to be hydro seeded on our hill in a rocky patch and we're done for this year! Now we, my wife, daughter and I have to organize the garden planting of 700+ perennials we bought and started from bulbs. On their trucks is says 'Voted Best In Alaska!' We know why, they see your vision and they work it to completion. Their guys are easy to work with and if you say hey, move this rock here or change it's position they do it till you're happy! Next year our budget is for the back yard, more top soil, hydro seed grass and a fire pit area!
