I'm about to put my house on the market and I knew it was important to get that "curb appeal". I started Googling and Yelping and found several lawn care companies in Anchorage. I had several estimates done on my property and Lawn Savers was by far the lowest. I was hesitant to use their services as there weren't a lot of reviews out there, but figured since they were much lower priced than the others, I'd give them a shot. I called in early April and it was still freezing at night. They said they'd have to wait until it warmed up and they'd email me once they could head out to do the cleanup. He gave me options as far as upgrades and told me how much I could expect it to be and what it would cost to haul the bags away ($3 per bag). Sunday morning, the Lawn Savers truck showed up at my house. I was a bit surprised to see only one person there to do the work and assumed it would take him all day. I was very pleasantly surprised that it took him less than three hours and he did a fantastic job. The poor guy had to bag up 18 lawn bags of crap from my yard. He was very polite and let me know when he was leaving and that he'd be back to pick up the bags the next day. I would absolutely recommend Lawn Savers to anybody looking for yard cleanup. We also had a new roof put on two weeks prior and in doing so, we discovered some bits of rotten fascia boards. Originally, ABC wasn't going to be able to do our gutters until much later in the season. They called my hubs to say they would be in our neighborhood the next day and wanted to do the gutters. My hubs explained that we had discovered some rotted fascia and we needed to fix that before the gutters were installed. ABC offered to fix the bad fascia and do the gutters same day. Yes, there was an up charge for the fascia. Totally worth it!! The techs were polite and thorough. They had colors that matched our house and trim. We did not opt for the gutter guard system, we don't have many trees. My neighbor loves her gutter guards, though.

We agreed on a plowing the driveway and shoveling the stairs and walkways every two inches. He called and texted me several times when there was snow instead of removing it automatically at 2 inches as agreed upon. He then came out, I paid him what we agreed upon and he left the job half done stating he'd need more money. I came home to a drive way half paved when I had told the tenants of the building it would be completed that day. He also didn't seem to have the equipment necessary to plow bc he said he needed to go get his ATV, so it may not have been the money.

It's not a giant store but so far they've had what we needed all but one time, but were able to make do with something else there. Most recently I had to get the Cone of Shame for our boy and I opted for a soft cone, rather than the hard plastic e-collar. I debated on sizes and when I got to the register, the gal asked me about my dog and let me know that if it didn't fit to bring it back to exchange it. She was really nice and has been each time we have been in there. I would be docking them a star due to the prices but I won't; they're definitely higher than some of the big stores but I still choose to go to Pet Zoo because of location, locally owned and customer service!
