We recently purchased our home and wanted to make it more our style. "Renovations" and "updates"…read morecome far and few in between in the Anchorage real estate scene, so some changes were definitely necessary. I had purchased a beautiful vanity from Costco for our main bathroom and had a hard time finding a contractor or handyman to install it. There's a limited amount of reviews for these services. So I went to Facebook for recommendations from friends. A friend who owns a few restaurants recommended these guys and I am so impressed! Tim Russell was our handyman and he was such a cool guy. Really honest and straight forward. He didn't try to "upsell" me or do any unnecessary work. He kept me well informed through out the entire process, explained everything he was doing and when we ran into issues that increased my bid estimate he worked with me to keep the cost reasonable. He was a good guy, very trustworthy. My vanity turned out amazing. And it only took a few days of work due to some hardware and flooring set backs. I have a few other projects planned and will definitely be giving these guys a call.

My wife and I solicited quotes from 3 other landscaping companies before settling on Faltz…read moreLandscaping. The 3 others met us at our home and listened to our ideas and took measurements of the areas to be landscaped. Within a week we received quotes from two of the other companies that just parroted back our ideas without any design drawings or detail. The third company jerked us around for 3 additional weeks before telling us they were too busy and gave us a baseless and wildly expensive "estimate" for next year. In contrast, Josie Blumenthal from Faltz came to our house twice to sketch the area, take dimensions and develop our design ideas. On the 2nd trip she took aerial photos with a drone and prepared a concept design based upon our ideas. At our third meeting, Ben Brown, Faltz Landscape Architect, who was mentoring Josie, joined the Team and proposed some new design concepts that we liked a lot. We signed a contract and within a week the Faltz crew was on site. The 3-man crew were experienced, polite and professional. Most of the time while the work was in progress, either Josie, Ben or both were on site, assuring the work was in conformance with the plan. At the end of every workday, the crew cleaned our yard and driveway. Three days later the work was complete. The final product far exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy with the entire Faltz Team, especially Ben and Josie. We felt that Faltz provided a superior product and good value. We'd highly recommend Faltz for your landscape needs.

On the not so good side. Field employees performing the work were less than professional and I would not say journeymen trade skills. They randomly showed up at house unannounced. Did not check in upon arrival or when they left For day or completed the work. Their design, installation and quality of workmanship very substandard. First rain showed a couple of spots no silicon or sealed corners at down spouts with leaks. Day after job completed. Initially, when we were discussing the job We requested the possibility of yanking off Christmas lights on Faccia boards and simply tossing on ground below since they were there. They stated there would be a nail removal and upcharge fee added to estimate for this request. I spoke to the manager of the company after his guys "finished job and left with a ridiculous final configuration of downspouts which posed a tripping hazard for young children and an eyesore and "who did this job?" To anyone that would observe it and there final product leaked! I would NOT refer or recommend these folks to anyone and there lack of communication and lack of professionalism puts you in dilemma so Iso I settle and save a few dollars OR pay a bit more and get a professional completed job by a company who takes pride other workmanship and commitment to customer service. I cannot promote This company to provide gutters repair or replacement! UPDATE. 05/09/2026. The owner reached out to explain his side of story. I would advise future prospective clients ask for referrals to their past customers to see their finished work and have a chat with folks that have contracted them to perform work. If. I were to include pictures. You too would see that this gutter downspout is NOT under deck. It passes for 10 or 15 feet away from house at knee to shin height cutting off all access to under deck and all who look at it. Will go wow what's up with that? But, we will remove downspout during the summer and reattach in the fall for safety of young children. Take care. I do appreciate the owner reaching out personally and explaining his perspective
