Good and kind people... and the work is more than great! I would recommend to anyone that needs their trees cut!

First off, I want to preface this with the fact that I think if we had gone with them for everything, I think things would have been done well, and no issues would have arisen. That being said, I left my business with them having a bad taste in my mouth for multiple reasons. 1. Their marketing isn't dishonest, but it isn't honest either. They plaster 'free consultation' all over their website, but that's really tongue in cheek. They charge you $100(after processing fee, we will get to that later), just to show up and give you a quote/consultation on what you are needing. They tell you if you buy any additional services that 'fee' will be subtracted from those services. Ok, fine. They come out give you a quote for a bunch of services, then tell you the prices you see already have the fee subtracted from them, but don't show where or how. So really, it's kind of a fake sale situation, where the 'sale' price from the credit you already paid is actually just the normal price. So, in reality, the consultation was never free. 2. When you factor in all the fees that they charge (base price, credit and consultation) they come in anywhere of 8-40% more expensive than all 5 of their competitors that we got quotes from. Their tree markup was outrageous. They wanted $750 for a tree we could go buy from a retailer for $300-$400. Their selection and availability were fairly limited as well compared to other outfits and retailers. They are the only company we found in town that charges consultation fees. 3. The credit card fee stuff is definitely not something only this business is doing but it is only done by either dishonest companies OR companies with bad CPAs or accountants. The credit card fees are deducible from the business taxes when they file. If they are charging the customer swipe fees to pass it on to the customer AND claiming it on their taxes an 'incurred business expense' that the IRS lets businesses deduct it is super sketchy and dishonest since they didn't incur the cost, the customer did when they passed it on to them. Like I said, it's not just them, but the government needs to address it if businesses like this one are double dipping by claiming the deduction and charging the customer fees directly. I think their game is they mentally lock you in by charging you a consultation fee and then they bank on you feeling like you wasted a hundred bucks if you don't go with their overpriced services. I waffled around with giving them 2 or 3 stars because I am giving them the benefit of the doubt, but at the end of the day I feel icky and used after dealing with this whole process. read more

Tall trees crew just finished a job for my neighbor and myself. They took down 2 trees for my neighbor and pruned several large Canada Red trees and an overgrown lilac for me. Excellent job all around! Chad and his crew were friendly, courteous, and efficient. They handled the jobs professionally and did a great cleanup after the work. These guys are the best! I had Tall Trees come out to take down some beetle kill and couldn't be happier with the service. Communication with the company was clear and simple which made the quote and scheduling as easy as can be. The crew was great. They were attentive and respectful of their environment while working efficiently to accomplish the job. A lot of attention was paid to details, especially around cleanup and wrap-up. I had a tall spruce tree to be removed next to the house and close to a fence. They gave an estimate close to other estimates and I had heard good things about them from neighbors. They came out and removed the tree very quickly, safely, and cleaned up everything they did and more. I was very happy with the result and would use them again every time. read more

Took out trees they shouldn't have and left marked trees behind. Told me their equipment was too big so couldn't grind stumps. I'll be forced to call someone else to finish the job but happy not to deal with this business again. read more

So, I have a couple of trees that grow so crazy and I knew I had to do one of three things: Do nothing, cut them back, or cut them down. I chose to cut them back. They came and did the work. I assessed it (I was at work) and wanted a couple of branches cut back. What did they do? Came and cut it back. Dude with the Irish accent tried to talk to me, but I couldn't hear over that hotness. They did a great job and were quick about chopping down the tree, but they were a little expensive for not removing the 1ft. tree stump. The reason I am giving them a 2 is because the time range they gave me was in the morning and they chipped the tree and removed the chips without asking me. I would have preferred the wood as fire wood or the wood chips for a path my wife is making in my back yard, but they didn't give me the option. read more

Had some stumps to be removed. They came out within two days of calling. No more stump, but wood chip pile mess to clean up. Thought with the price I paid, that it would include clean up. Bit too pricey for me. Next time will do myself, not worth it. read more

Tall Trees gave me a great quote on getting 2 Colorado Reds trimmed and Pruned $250.00 however when there job was completed the trees looked as if they trimmed up the bottom branches a little and nothing else. My husband came home and actually asked when were they coming to trim the trees since it looked as if they did nothing. The tops and sides were untouched. When I asked the technician why they didn't trim more I was told they would take the trees in about 6 feet all around he said that would look weird and would cost more. So moral of the story you get a great price in the beginning but if you want the job done correctly pay more and go with Gage or another tree service. read more

Workers are undependable and not reliable. Poor customer service. Set appt for birch tree removal of birch leaning over house, waited for them to come and workers never bothered to show up. They just blew off the job and never called to say they couldn't make it or notify of need to reschedule. After I called the office twice in the afternoon because they didn't show up, they finally called about 4 pm and just said they skipped the appt cause 2 other jobs took them longer. Also said estimator will call and reschedule next Tues or Wed. Tone and attitude was: lack of concern and no big deal to just skip appt, not call, not show up and did not care if telling to reschedule Next Tues or Wed means appt to actually remove the leaning tree will not be for another week. Did not apologize. Not professional. Also, since they were calling at 4pm, appears the real issue was they wanted to quit early for the weekend, not other jobs took them longer. read more

Tall Trees does my soil injection on my birch trees every year, they look so beautiful through the summer, i just love, they also took out a large cottonwood tree, it was a lot of fun to watch the men climb up those trees. read more

The crew came in and took down all the Birch trees that could have been a hazard to my home. They are efficient and get the job done right. I have used them twice and will use them again in the future for more tree removal and tree pruning as needed. Keep up the good work. read more
