Very good company. Arrived on time. Took out our 'problem trees'. Cleaned up the area. Polite & professional.

DO NOT USE this company--no matter what. Completely unprofessional and threatening. Unwilling to work with home owner to simply clear small trees and brush. Destroyed chain link fencing, left debris scattered over a two acre area, packed up and left without even asking if the job requested was properly done...Oh and then billed for it; better be ready to pay quickly or it goes to collections within 30 days. They showed up when they said they would. We marked trees for removal. They took down the trees indicated without any damage to surrounding flora. They were very professional and I will use them again when I need some trees felled. The cost was reasonable. read more

This is the second time we used CTS. Last year they took down all the Spruce in our yard. This year they took down 11 giant birch trees and grinded stumps from the this year and last years felled trees. These guys did such a fantastic job. Very professional and well organized. Our yard looks amazing. The holes from the ground down stumps were back filled with the mulch from the trees. I had plenty extra to fill in low spots as well. They were very careful not to damage other structures on the property. I would absolutely use Carlos' Tree Service. In fact, I don't think I would use anyone else. read more

These guys are great. I would us them again. The took down 2 trees, took away all debris, ground the stump, and left firewood sized rounds all stacked up. All this was done while they managed traffic on a very busy side street. read more

We had Carlos Tree Service top several birch trees last year and were very happy with them so we called again to remove three large spruce trees. They're a great outfit. We had an estimate within a day or two and they promised to call when they were ready to do the work. The crew showed up right on time. They were organized, polite, professional and fun to watch. They never stopped moving and seemed to know where each of the others were at all times. Within about four hours the trees were gone, stumps were ground, rounds were cut and the yard cleaned up. I tried to call to schedule an appointment to have 2 very large trees removed that are close to both my roof and especially the neighbors roof. The lady on the phone was not very helpful at all. She informed me very bluntly that they don't schedule appointments for quotes (Like everybody else in town does) instead just flag the trees and they will come by to look at them. I think this is a critical mistake in the way they handle business. It is an opportunity for me to ask questions and to put a face to the people I would possibly be trusting with a difficult tree removal and paying a few thousand dollars. I informed her I would be calling Gage tree service instead and she bluntly said "okay" and hung up. VERY unprofessional. P.S. I was able to schedule appointments with 3 other tree removal companies just fine. If Carlos tree service pays any attention to their customers on yelp.. you could learn something from your competitors. read more

We were happy with the estimate and scheduled the work. The crew showed up on time with the right equipment to Safely and quickly remove and trim a few potentially hazardous old cottonwood trees. They did a great job for a fair price. We couldn't ask for more. read more

Just like another review, MEA has hired them to clear under the power lines by my house, in doing so they cut my directTv cable in half. The workers did not come to notify me that they damaged my property, I left a message and did not receive a call back, I then called again and was told that they will pay directTv to come fix the line. A few hours later the foreman of the crew calls me to tell me that "no, it will not be paid for because the line should of been buried. This line is over 100 foot long and I live on a rock mountain side, so it cannot be buried. The cut the cable at the base of the satellite dish, so they knew it was there. The cable has been there for over 5 years with no problem. This company could of simply don't the right thing and notified me if the incident and covered the costs of replacement, but they have chose to do the opposite read more

This company is under contract with MEA in the mat-su valley to clear the right of way for the power lines. On my property, the right of way is my 1/4 mile long gated driveway. On April 12, 2006 in the process of clearing, they dropped a tree limb across 2 high voltage lines, creating a huge arcing that caused blow out of electronic devices for my neighbor,& started a fire in the limb lying on top of the power line, among the trees on my property, on a windy day. I was told by their employee that if I was concerned, I could call the fire dept. THERE ISN'T FIRE SERVICE IN CHICKALOON!! A couple hours later, they busted out the rear window of my vehicle with their equipment. I was told by the employee operating the equipment there was nothing they could do about it since there were no hardware stores open to get materials to secure the window from rain or thieves. I had to provide cardboard, black garbage bags and a roll of duct tape to semi-secure the vehicle. Owner, Dale Carlos arrived several hours later, shook my hand and said they would "make it right". 30 DAYS LATER there had still been NO CONTACT FROM THE COMPANY. Long story short, 7 WEEKS LATER, on Friday May 28th (memorial day weekend...) I was told they would provide a used window from a junk yard to their glass installer on Tuesday morning(1st workday after holiday) for immediate install. I waited until after 4pm on May 31st before calling the glass company, as no one had contacted me. The glass had not been delivered to the installer as promised & their attempts to contact Carlos Tree Svc went unanswered. After being more than patient for 7 WEEKS WITH A STILL BUSTED REAR WINDOW, I advised that they had 48 hours to cut a check & hand deliver or I would take them to court immediately. They did not deliver the check as requested. IF YOU WANT TO BE JERKED AROUND AND LIED TO REPEATEDLY, THIS IS THE COMPANY TO CALL. Too bad zero stars is not an option to post reviews... would you wait over 7 weeks to have damages repaired on your vehicle??? read more
