I had a dent above the wheel well from where somebody bumped into me while I was parked at a grocery store. That was a very tough one and I will say that it is not 100% perfect, but it's at least 90% and someone would have to really be looking for it to see it, which is in major contrast to where it was before. I'm getting ready to sell that car and it is certainly enough for me to recapture the lost cosmetic value. That car also had a couple of very deep scratches on the bumper that were very noticeable from some unfortunate encounters I had with various objects. I waited to see how he did on the dent removal before getting a quote from him on that work. It was less than half of what I was getting at body shops. The best way I can describe this is that it is not a sacrifice of quality, but a difference in the end result you are paying for. If you want a paint job done to factory spec, you probably want to spend double the price and have them completely remove the affected areas, sand them entirely down, do the multiple coats, takes several days, etc. If you want a paint job that is good enough to be invisible to the untrained eye that will make you feel good about what you are driving and probably recover nearly all of the cosmetic value that has been lost, why bother with having it be "perfect"? I cannot spot any faults with the work Chad and his team did, and it looks exactly as I would have hoped. The great work quality aside, Chad is also a pleasure to do business with. He is reliable and is where he says he will be when he says he will be there, he communicates well, he sticks to the prices he gives, and he does everything he can to make your life easier while you are working with him. For example, it was a little challenging for me to coordinate things with my family for me to drop my car off and pick it up to get that pain work done and he was happy to come by my house to pick me up and had even offered to deliver the car back to me afterwards since I was not too far away from the shop he was using. UPDATE 9/18/26: STILL NO RESOLUTION…read more Unfortunately, despite Justin responding to me and repeatedly saying he was "trying" to resolve this, my vehicle is STILL sitting at Toyota of Denton and has not been repaired. On September 11, Justin told me in writing that he would be speaking with Toyota that day to work toward a resolution. He also acknowledged that After The Storm had been unable to determine the cause of the headlight issue and confirmed that warranty work would be handled by his shop. I made it very clear that after approximately 11 months and multiple opportunities for After The Storm to correct the problems, I was not authorizing my vehicle to be taken back to their shop yet again. Toyota has already diagnosed the issue, and I simply want the necessary repairs completed properly so I can finally have my vehicle back. It is now September 18, another week has passed, and nothing has been resolved. Toyota has again been unable to get the necessary follow-through from Justin, and I am once again left without meaningful communication or a concrete resolution. I continue to hear that he is "trying," but there is still no action, payment, completed repair, or date for when I will get my vehicle back. My insurance paid this shop over $19,000, and I paid a $2,500 deductible. This repair began October 23, 2025. Nearly a YEAR later, my vehicle is still not properly repaired. At this point, promises to "make it right" mean very little without action. I need After The Storm to follow through, honor its warranty obligations, work with Toyota, and get my vehicle repaired and returned to me. The previous owner passed away in 2021 and the former manager (who worked mostly with the customers) is no longer with the company either. A completely different family owns Tx Body Works now and based on my recent experience, do not appear to take the same care with their customers that the previous leadership did. The treatment was like night and day. Extremely disappointing! We dropped the car off on 6/13/23 due to extensive damage caused by the hail storm here in North Texas on 5/19/23. When told our car would be ready for pick up on 9/08/23, we arrived to find it in the condition shown in the attached pictures. When we were told the car would be delivered to us on 9/14/23 the following week, it was not delivered at the time promised and was still not completely ready by the time we drove to Carrollton to pick it up. While the work performed on our vehicle was ok and it looks nice (I cannot fault the team actually working on the cars), it took 3 months for our hail repairs to be completed. The communication from everyone we encountered at TX Body Works left a lot to be desired, to say the least. When I called, I always got the answering service, never a person in their front office. I called and left at least 5 messages with the answering service in the 3 months they had my car and they never once returned ANY of my calls. My daughter called requesting updates on her car and she was ignored as well. The only person who ever received a return call was my husband, and even then he only received a couple of calls with updates from TBW the entire time they had our car. When I resorted to email for updates, they did not respond to that communication either. Requesting a copy of my detailed, itemized statement/invoice went ignored for weeks until I let them know I would be filing a complaint with my insurance company. When they did finally respond after multiple requests, it was very defensive with a lot of excuses, mostly for personal reasons that had nothing to do with the repair of my vehicle. I completely understand going through insurance and the claim process takes time, especially now in our post-Covid world. However, being secretive about the process, being told "one more thing is needed for insurance approval then your car will be ready", and seeing a completely different list of additional items being claimed for repairs is another. Examples: Astronomical hours of labor being charged - original estimate 23 hrs for body work vs actual 90 hrs; a $500 windshield (that they broke!) was charged to insurance for almost $1,700!! Our insurance company (a large national company) has been made aware of our concerns and the TX Attorney General and TX Department of Insurance will be notified as well. Consumer Beware!!
