WOW! This was hands down the best catfish I have ever had. Most of the time, you get catfish and waste about 1/2 of it by not eating the excessive amount of fried nonsense they put on your plate with a thin layer of fish. Not this place, the catfish was meaty, cooked to perfection, seasoned by a master, and the breading was on point. I got a side of white beans and slaw that were also cooked and seasoned to perfection. I was worried about those mini hush puppies being too fried, but they were light and fluffy. My catfish did not need any sauce, but then they brought out that tartar sauce and changed my life. It was light, tangy, and you could taste the fresh dill; it was perfection. I would buy this weekly if they bottled it. This restaurant does it right, very efficient and friendly front staff, food came quickly, generous portions, seasoned to perfection, and everything was made to make you melt in your seat delicious. For fried food, it was not heavy or greasy. I can see why they have so many great reviews, hands down one of the best restaurants in Lebanon PERIOD! I don't care where you live, drive here, throw a dart at the menu, and you will get food made right and with a lot of heart. So glad we finally tried this restaurant. read more

Decided to bring mom here for "Fish Friday".. I've been meaning to make my way here. I'm sometimes hesitant to take my mom out to eat as she's extremely picky. Well let's just say we took the food to go but she ended up eating it in the car after taking a test bite. Fish was perfectly fried as were the okra. Slaw was good and so were the hush puppies. She got tartar sauce but didn't end up using it because it was seasoned so well. I will be back to have wings. The young ladies were also both very nice! Restaurant was clean and they had a very nice playlist. My mom and I were singing as we were waiting. There is a lot on the side and street parking. The wait wasn't bad at all. We may have waited about 15 minutes. We didn't call an order because it was so close to closing. Well about an hour before closing. (So we thought) Google has them closing at 8 but they actually close at 9 on Friday. They are slightly pricey but what isn't? It's definitely worth it. read more

This is a damn good fish house, some of the best I've had. I got an order of the catfish nuggets, coleslaw and fried okra and it was easily enough for 2 people. My wife got the Swai fish filets, collard greens and French fries, which was also a lot of food. Hers was cooked spicy and it had a great kick to it. I'm thinking the batter on the fish is cornmeal based due to its excellent crunchiness, and it is exceptionally good. All the side dishes were very tasty and very good. We finished our meal off with a slice of homemade strawberry cake, very moist and very tasty too. Service was good too. We have heard such amazing things about this place, that we felt we must drive from Nashville to check it out. Not a very large space, but the ambiance was nice. We were seated and placed our drink order. The drinks never arrived and we were informed, after a bit of a wait, that they were out of catfish (that's why we came) all of the tea flavors, and their white beans (another reason we came). WoW! Just WoW! I knew the catfish was excellent, but tried the spaghetti and slaw as my sides. They were unreal! My husband said his wings, (apple bourbon sauce that was listed as drunken chicken) were some of the best he's ever had! The catfish is delicious and cooked to perfection. I don't even like a lot of catfish, but this was delicious. Also this place has the perfect fried okra with the perfect amount of breading. Hush puppies were outstanding as were the white beans! Oh Lord. Yes, it's pricey. $18 for a plate plus $2.50 for a drink. So no, I can't eat this as often as I would like due to that. I am from Louisiana so i know good cajun fried catfish! Just Fish blew me away, it was the best fried catfish and fried okra I have ever eaten in my 52 years. Visited late afternoon today for the first time. I had the two piece catfish dinner with hush puppies, okra and slaw, and a fountain drink. The meal was served on real dishes with metal eating utensils! The price was a little over $20. It was an excellent eating experience. The food was all cooked to order and I had to start on my slaw first to let the lightly breaded catfish filets and okra cool down. The place was comfortable and clean. There was ample, well-lighted parking. A couple of TVs were running football but with the sound muted so it did not have the loud, sports bar vibe. The catfish was THE BEST that I've ever had, which says a lot for having regularly eaten catfish in Middle TN for the past 50+ years. I would say it tops any of current franchise restaurants, the old classic catfish places like Uncle Bud's or any of the current or former catfish restaurants on the river in Ashland City. The owner, Corey Osborne, brought my fish to the table and we visited a while with him sharing the history of his original food truck and now this brick and mortar facility. I noticed probably 1/3? of the orders while I was there were for carry out. Next time I plan to try the fish nuggets or some of the other fish items. I highly recommend Just Fish in Lebanon. You won't be hungry when you leave or disappointed with the food quality, service or pricing. read more

Just Fish has some of the BEST whiting fish I've had in a long time!! It beats Ed's Fish House in Nashville all day long. It's cooked to order so it's always hot and seasoned perfectly. You get 3 large pieces of fish that hang off your bread. It's so worth the $10. The owners are super nice, service is great and good christian folks. Go by any day Tuesday - Saturday. Tried Just Fish for the first time today after seeing them on FB a few times. I had the catfish nuggets lemon pepper style with a side of fries. The fish was juicy with a great crunch. Service was quick and food was made to order. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the fries were seasoned well but they were a little too soft for me.
