I honestly believe that no other instructor/driving school would have stuck with my daughter like Melody did.

We had our daughter take the 12 hours behind the wheel driving lessons from 1 ACT Driving Schools…read more Our daughter is shy and had little driving experience. Their team was very professional from the signup and explanation of the program (Lauren) to the administration of the schedule (Denise) to the instruction (Christopher). My daughter learned to be a safe driver and passed the test (using their team in Lawrenceville GA) on the first try. Thanks and highly recommend!

First Off I must say that I really have enjoyed this class they made it super easy for scheduling…read moreand even worked with me on my financials I cannot afford the whole $360 to start with and the owner actually let me pay a $100 and the rest before class begin so that we could get our registered. The owner was very kind and considerate and went way well and beyond his job title including allowing me to talk to him on his personal phone I really do appreciate all that he has put into it I also want to thank Lindsey for her hard work and her determination to help us get everything done. I did have a minor setback on the 1st class I took with Eric he was going over how much money he made and talking about oh he had 7 figures this that and the other was very vague in a lot of the description and wasted my time. He made you feel bad for being his "business". Whenever I did make a personal phone call I ended up having to redo the class because they were listening in on my phone from my computer when I thought it was break and yes and he would scream at me that I had no morals or character I do not like that this man was so judgmental and was putting people down saying we were his money making machine I then was really mad at an Eric who was being very unprofessional so I would suggest if anybody was going to book with them that they would also choose David made the class so fun he also made us happy And help us to learn about stuff we never even could thought thought about he was very professional and very nice a very positive experience with David t He also teaches things in a material in a way that will help you you know understand the class and Ace the test we all have done really well in that aspect even though I had to redo the class and take off work I want to say a big thank you to the actual owner and Lindsey and all the employees that worked with her and then they I did have to pay a little extra but they didn't charge me the full price which I'm forever grateful I would recommend this to anyone who would be willing to Go through this class open the Ross 2 different things it will help with their license it will help you get your life and track and I do recommend this place it is a legit very nice very calming experience and I do recommend it thank you

If you told me that I'd be zipping through the streets of Atlanta after a two-hour lesson with…read moreGraham, I wouldn't have believed you. But I did...and it was awesome! Learning to drive a stick used to be way down on my bucket list--somewhere between visiting all 50 states and crushing grapes with my feet. That is, until my car was totaled. My dad offered up his extra car but the catch was that it had a manual transmission. The second catch was that I needed to drive it from Louisiana back to Atlanta. A quick Google search turned up Stick Shift Driver Training. I called and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Even though the school is based in Canton, they have the flexibility to do the lessons in various locations. We agreed to meet up in Roswell near 400. We spent much of the first hour in the parking lot of a local mall. Graham gave me a quick lecture on the mechanics of stick shift driving before I ever put key into ignition. He said it was important to understand the impact the clutch, accelerator and brake have on the engine. Then he taught me a variety of skills before I left the parking lot: Getting into first gear Shifting through each gear Stopping the car Parking the car Getting into reverse Once I mastered those concepts, Graham let me out on the road (Holcomb Bridge Road and nearby residential areas) where I learned more: Downshifting Driving hills (starting from 0 MPH on hills) Recovering from a stall Sure, maybe I could have saved $180 by watching YouTube videos or finding a friend to teach me. But online videos couldn't answer my questions and friends would only be so patient with me grinding their gears and bucking their car like a bronco. Graham went over each drill in painstaking detail and coached me along until I felt comfortable. His Chevy Cruze was specially equipped with dual controls. The fact that he had three pedals on his side of the car helped calm my anxiety about driving the local streets. It meant I couldn't crash the car even if I'd tried. In two hours, I didn't become an expert by any stretch but I was capable enough to safety drive the car to Atlanta. For that reason alone, I would highly recommend Stick Shift Driver Training to anyone who wants to quickly learn the basics of driving stick.

Im not sure what happened with these other two 1-star reviewers on here but either Graham was…read morehaving a bad day or these two are just trolls or were trying to get lessons for free. FYI: I was a past student of Graham, am not affiliated with Graham's classes or program in any way, nor am I being paid or asked to write a review for him. In fact, my classes with Graham were many years ago and I never bothered to write a review until I saw these very skewed reviews that painted a completely opposite experience of what I received with classes with Graham. Background I decided to finally learn how to drive a stick shift after years of watching all of the drivers on the road in their STis, Evos, and Mustangs ride up and down Peachtree Industrial enjoy their ride. Learning something new is always fun, and at any age, you can pick up learning a stick shift, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Maybe I can still relive a little bit of my youth and have some fun on the road, so with Google, I found Graham's driving school. The Instruction: 5/5 Graham's classes, while not cheap, are very personable and 1-on-1, as he works with you whether you're a complete beginner like I was or someone just needing a refresh on driving skills. If youre a beginner like I was, you'll start in a parking lot where you wont have to deal with other drivers, learn parking, turning, and how to drive smoothly. If you think driving a stick shift is like being in The Fast and Furious (and even Graham will tell you), you're living in a movie. Once your basics are done, you'll move onto the road, but you won't have to worry about safety as Graham has his own controls on the other side to make sure you dont get into mishaps. In total, I took 3x 1.5 hour sessions with Graham and found it to be enough to get on the road. After taking classes, the key is to practice as every car's clutch bite point is different. Finding your own car's bite and timing gives you the right to call your car "yours" (and maybe give it a special name) The Instructor: 5/5 I've thought Graham as friendly, professional, and considerate. Yes, like another reviewer said, he will take a call here and there as he does operate his own business, but you'll be practicing something during class so as long as you don't freak out and relax just keep on whatever you were being asked to train on during the class. Graham was very accommodating to rescheduling classes and he always called in advance to confirm. I didn't write this review until I saw these other lower ones because that is not the Graham that I took classes with. Bottom Line If you're starting out with driving a stick shift, whether it's for fun or because of your job (valet), know that you won't start your classes by mimicking what Dom or Brian does in the movies. If you want to do that, go buy a Logitech stick shift and pedlas and a copy of Need for Speed. If you are looking for a solid instructor who knows what he's talking about and can teach you to become a stick shift driver, Graham is the right guy for you. Good luck to you and keep stick shifts alive.

I requested a physical workbook due to my eyesight and was told to be at the Duluth office to pick it up on Monday by 4:00 (they are not open on weekends) on the day of the class (1/12/26). I left work early and arrived by 4:00 only to find they were closed. I was told the office manager left early and I had to view the workbook electronically. That was just the first red flag. I realized early in the class that the instructor did not seem to like me by his responses to my answers to some of his questions. I was trying to show that I was present and participating, but he was condescending and he belittled/berated me if he disagreed with my responses. By the last day, he questioned in class if the children that I work with even like me (the classes are recorded). This was personally not a positive experience for me. I would not recommend. Finally, the communication appears to be primarily via text messages, and the beginning of the thread seems to be automated (at least over the weekend) since I asked questions that were never answered and the responses were generic. It asked if wanted to participate in another program, but when I asked what it was, I didn't receive an answer. If you text them with issues during the week, an actual person will respond, it just takes a while.

I have to say that Ms June and Ms Phylis are so honest, patient and knowledgeable of the business they are in. Several of my family members have taken driving lessons from either of them. Although Ms June is most direct in her teachings and is very personable, we love her patience and understanding that we are all on different skill levels with age and knowledge. At the same time Ms. Phylis is very calm, patient, encouraging, personable and sweet. But she moves on to the next task quicker than than Ms June. My family all passed road test with each of them with 100% accuracy. Several family members preferred Ms June {older ones} for her do it until you get it teachings while other ones {younger ones} liked Ms Phylis because once you say you understand the task, she will move on to the next task but she never comes back to it. My wife preferred Ms June because she does repeat all task several times during the 10 lessons (20hrs). Now with this said, both ladies are amazingly knowledgeable, and it shows. They both enjoy teaching, and it shows that this is not just a job to them, but it shows they both take pride in the job/teachings they do. We love the Kia Soul teaching cars. Each family member was very happy driving this. It sets up high and easy to maneuver as well as to get yourself out after sitting so long. They both have great sense of humor and it helped during the learning process as to not be stressed out. They are very personable and easily understood in the directions of what to do. My auntie was terrified and at 66, she wasn't sure at all if she would drive. NOW the others in her house says she hides the keys to the car so she can go when she wants to go. Like she says Ms June said I have gained my independence now and I am not waiting on anybody to take me out. We are extremely a happy family now that we are 6 Driving legally with the help and knowledge of these 2 fabulous ladies that should be recognized in Walton, Oconee and Newton Counties as "THE BEST DRIVING INSTRUCTORS EVER" If we could give them 10 Stars we would. I have encouraged my family to write a post as well. Call 770.207.6905 if you are in any of these Counties. You will not be disappointed. I wish everyone would write REFERAL for this business. WE LOVE YOU Ms June and Ms Phylis
