First off, this place is so clean and neat, it's just spotless. The people working here are all very polite and nice (I spoke to Ricardo, Constanza and Luis) and they are all very pleasant and friendly. They kept their promise of repairing and not replacing the bumper although after opening the bumper they found out that replacing it would be a lot easier and more sensible than repair, but they kept their promise and repaired it. The end result just looked fabulous. It's certainly not a cheap place but their prices are a lot better than the dealership for the same or maybe even better quality of work. I have had one experience here and the experience was a five star one, and I will definitely go back if I am in the area and need a car service.

I needed swirl scratches removed and the interior cleaned because the previous owner apparently smoked in the vehicle. I met with Ricardo and he took a few pics. He said that Luis (owner) would get back to me the next day. The next day came and went -- nothing. I called and spoke with Ricardo who then promised me a quote. Still nothing. One week passes and I finally PM the owner. It turns out the owner was out of country on vacation. I wish Ricardo would have just said so. People don't know how to manage expectations. Luis was more cordial, told me that they don't really specialize in "old" cars and said they would charge like $1000+ to do it (which seemed ludicrous). Anyway, he referred me to Shine Mobile Auto that apparently details all of their vehicles. Unfortunately, I had mixed results with their detailer, which I'll cover in a separate post. At the end of the day, I wasn't terribly impressed with how they run their business and their referral didn't keep his promises, so I can't say that I had a positive experience.

I really appreciate that they gave me different options on ways to save money on parts (OEM vs aftermarket) for my repair since I was a cash paying customer. I got a quote from Caliber Collision and the price difference was shocking! As it turns out Milstead is a much better equipped body shop because they had the technicians and equipment on hand and did not need to hire anyone out to do recalibrations for the sensors on my bumper which that alone saved me $400-600. To top it off they offered a courtesy car wash and interior vacuum which I wasn't at all expecting. Thank you Milstead for going totally out of your way to serve your customer. Called Allstate to cancel my request and then another 30 min later I get a call from tow truck driver saying he is on the way to get me and will be there in 20 min. Guy sounded drunk and stoned on phone. Told him I canceled said thanks and hung up phone. Worthless Tow company. Any review over 1 is made up to make them look good.
