    Broken washers

Dirty parking lot. A slab of wood for you to sit on inside without a back to prevent homeless from coming in and sitting or sleeping. Soo uncomfortable! And they never fix their machines. Go someone you can sit and relax.

They got new machines today! Definitely preferred these over the big ones by the entrance.

They got new washers that work very well! My clothes came out with less water than they normally do when I use the big washer by the entrance. 10/10 recommend

I usually do my laundry at home but had several loads that piled up over the holidays so I packed things up and headed here after finding it on Yelp. Absolutely horrible. Here's why: 1. Very dirty. Several machines out of order including several with no sign that I lost money in. 2. They have installed after factory metal guards around the locks on the front load washers. One had a very sharp edge that gave me a nasty gash on my scalp when bending over to load my clothes. 3. Some of the dryers were so hot that there was a burnt smell when I opened to door. I honestly could not even touch my clothes for more than a quarter second without burning myself. Seriously, it was that hot. I had a pair of heavy jeans dry in less than 10 minutes. No lie. Even on low heat, the print on several T-shirts melted and stuck together. I had to pull them apart and ended up damaging them. Elasticity in most my undershirts, socks and underwear, socks and underwear is gone or greatly reduced. 4. A very strong mildew/mold smell to the front load washers. I figured with the soap this wouldnt be an issue. I was very wrong. I ended up having to rewash EVERYTHING the next day to get the smell out, meaning I had wasted about 3 hours of my time and almost $30. I gave an extra star because the cleaning person who was there at the beginning was very friendly and social with the customers that were there.

This place is dirty and their dryers don't work right, you have to keep putting coins in order to get your clothes dry

Let's face it, everyone occasionally needs a laundromat for whatever reasons, mine was washing a…read morecomforter and drying it properly. You see, putting things that big and heavy in a washer at my complex would kill the poorly maintained machines. I know a few neighbors come here so today was my first time. In general, Chicago and University is a sketchy to eccentric intersection. The sidewalks are always stained with who knows what, so tread carefully. The parking lot is another hazard, and you're probably wondering why I gave this place 4 stars, right? Well, in the therum of 'no choice', this is actually one of the better options in Riverside. Inside it's huge, clean, well organized, and brightly lit. I saw people cleaning the floors and machines, plus, there's a security guard. As a first timer, I needed a debit card, which is .50 one-time, just don't lose it, plus a 3% transaction fee, which was negligible as I'll illustrate, and you can check your balance at the same kiosk. I figured $20 was enough to wash and dry the comforter, and my credit union revealed that the total cost was $20.60 including the fees. mentioned. Looking back, I should have used the so-called 80lb machine because the 100lb in front was bigger than needed, and a little over $12 was deducted. On Tuesday and Thursday those machines are $2 less to use, according to a big banner. I found the machine was really good, though and faster than expected. It gave me a little time to grab lunch around the corner at Canton Chinese Food. The comforter was clean and easily transferred to the large dryer without using a provided cart. That's when I discovered someone's panties were still in the washer when I used it. I left those on top of the machine BTW. Finally, the dryer was pretty inexpensive, a few dollars maybe, and in 29 minutes it thoroughly dried without feeling scorched on the high setting. All-in-all, it's a necessary evil, but this spot seems like a good option for me in the future.

The lady working this morning was very friendly and helpful. The machines are all clean and well…read moremaintained. The only downside is there are no electrical outlet to plug my work computer to work on. Overall, I recommend this place.
