Sheri made my corset for my wedding, and it was *amazing*! Sheri took extra time to fit my corset perfectly, and the end result was the most beautiful and flattering garment I've ever owned. It's classy, sexy, and suits me perfectly. During the 2 months in which we had fittings I lost 25 pounds, and Sheri was able to make the end product a perfect fit in spite of my changing shape. Dark Garden is a great off-the-rack storefront, and Stormy Leather makes fun fetish outfits... but for a custom corset Sheri is the best. She's about half the price of Dark Garden and a LOT more attention to you personally. Her work is exquisite. I ordered 2 custom corsets just after I had my baby to help with back pain and diastasis. They fit like second skin after seasoning and feel amazing. My back feels supported and she measured long in the front to help support my lower belly mom pooch. For what I normally pay off rack I received my corsets measured to my body exactly for my needs. There was a time I was in Theater and was required to provide my own costuming. That's when I met Sheri. Suffice it to say the other people I worked with were SO pissed because the costuming Sheri made for me raised the bar to a whole new level. I was not her easiest client as more than a couple of times I'd change design components mid stream in her side of the process. She'd scratch her head, assess the new element and tell me what extra charges were involved in the new direction. In other words she's patient, and fair with people. Virtually all my costumes were used in Stage Combat so they had to be really well constructed to survive the hours of rolling around on stage in them. Yes tough and good looking is the point here. Costuming is a pain in the ass and I am not sure Sheri is taking any of that on these days but.... what does this mean to you who may be reading this today ? I have been to more than a few events where women were wearing Jurnecka creations and well let me tell you to say they are fetching is an understatement. Sheri is the best ever !! She made a miracle happen and created me a beautiful corset. I can never find anything store bought to fit my curves and small waist so I googled a corset maker after being told by my wedding dress alterations guy I need a special made one. I came across Jurnecka's Creations on yelp and went for my 1st appt. Match made in heaven. Sheri made me feel so comfortable throughout and now I have a beautiful peice of artwork that fits me perfectly. The quality is magnificent and the support it gives the girls. She even installed a wider stronger front to hold up my heavy girls and you can't tell. They look so beautiful sitting high. Lol. I will definitely be going back to Sheri. Sheri made me the most gorgeous wedding dress! I wasn't interested in something "traditional" - especially the "white" part. What I really wanted was a formal ball gown which I could wear over and over again, and that's what I got. (Forget about wearing it one time only!!!) I have worn the dress numerous times, and every time I put it on I feel like a princess! My dress is made from three hand woven silk saris from India. The color is a spicy fall orange, with gold embroidery. There are three components: the Victorian corset; a very, very full skirt; and a sheer organza shrug. All three pieces were meticulously tailored by Sheri. After finding the fabric I wanted, I met with Sheri to work on the overall design. She had samples to show and advice on options I was interested in. She took my measurements and got started. Over a series of several fittings, my dress came together beautifully. And she had to do some fancy cutting to make the skirt as full as I wanted it! Sheri also made part of my husband's wedding ensemble: a vest, cravat, and handkerchief, all of which were made from the same silk saris as my dress. They fit him perfectly. I cannot recommend Sheri enough. She is a joy to work with, and absolutely knows what she is doing. I have 2 off-the-rack corsets, 2 from another corset make and 5 made by Sheri, all acquired in the last, ack, 15 years. Sheri is professional and friendly. The first time I was there (after I had purchased one off-the-rack and the two from the other corset maker), she explained the pros and cons of each type of corset and we decided on an over-bust, because that would highlight my figure the best. Nowhere else had done that! I realized I was not "just another customer". The corset fit perfectly. Another time I brought her some fabric and she made a beautiful Polonaise outfit. When I went to pick it up she showed me the purse and another accessory she had made out of the remnants that she thought would complete the ensemble. Her creative eye was right and I get compliments every time I wear it. I also had her make an outfit with a hobble skirt. It too, is fantastic although I wish I had listened to her suggestion to have a little less hobble. That way I could wear it more often. Over the years I have regularly worn her corsets for over 8 hours at a time. If I were waist-training I am sure that I could wear them all day. So, whether you bring your own fabric, trims or ideas or you let Sheri's creativity take over, you will definitely be the Belle of the Ball. Sheri and I decided to do an art trade. She made me the most gorgeous and elegant corset I have ever worn. It was a unique piece of artwork perfectly fitted to my body. The fabric was luxurious with swirls of gold and jewel tones, and she achieved a beautiful gradient effect that I have never seen before in a corset. The under-bust design makes it versitile and complementary to modern clothing.I have worn the corset on several occasions. Durable and extremely well crafted, it remains in perfect condition. A few facts first: 1. Custom corsets are in high demand in the bay area 2. Few people are skilled at designing & creating custom corsets 3. This is my first ever custom corset The Research Jurnecka Creations used email for communication. I emailed her & she replied overnite & was willing to accomodate me for a fitting. The other corset creators were not willing to work with my schedule and were really expensive. The Fitting She was well prepared on my arrival with examples to try on. She had an awesome girl cave with a swing. She can do more that just corsets and her products are on display in the girl cave. She quickly measured me & i paid my deposit & left. The Final Product When it was ready i went back and she helped me put it on & i felt like it was mine. She trained me on putting it on while i was there & it was perfect. She literally engineered it to accommodate me. it was better than the one i tried on initially. She made sure I knew what I was doing before i left. I paid the rest & was on my merry way. The First Week I did notice my posture was improved greatly. my waist training is going better than i expected (had used the lycra spandex stuff before and it left me smelly). It was AWESOME!. This one was meant to wear under my clothes. I will be getting another one engineered for me to wear at work on the outside of my clothes. Sheri helped me with my cape for my anime costume. She was meticulous with the design basing everything from photos we found online of my character. For another costume also based on the TV show character, she was able to perfectly create my dress and locate the perfect crushed red silk fabric again just from some photos from the internet. There were some embellishment of the piece and again Sheri used some sari fabric pieces she had left over and incorperated them into my piece. Needless to say, everything was perfect! I have been seeking a custom corsetiere for several years that would be able to make a corset I could wear all day. I had corsets made by two "custom" makers, none fit as I had hopped. After a few hours all the previous corsets would bind and become painful. As the old saying goes the third time is the charm. I contacted Sheri via e-mail, she answered back that she would like to try to make the corset I was looking for. She suggested that I send measurements for a preliminary muslin then come out to San Francisco for a fitting. Sheri's fitting "grotto" as she calls it is as unique and as interesting as Sheri is herself. The fitting area is adorned with art work as well as samples of her work. The center piece was an adult size swing suspend form the ceiling. I tried on the muslin corset mockup which seemed to fit well, next she marked up the muslin with a magic marker, marking out the actual and whatever correction that where necessary. The corset was delivered in about 3 weeks as promised in time for a special New Year's celebration. I was so pleased; it fit right at the first there little "brake in" time required. At last I found an "all day" corset. Needless to say the corset was absolutely perfectly finished. Sheri is a magical structural engineer, this is the lightest most flexible and the most wearable corset I have ever worn at the same time it is the most shaping and formfitting corset I could hope form.
