This has to be the best groomer in the Winchester area. I think they only groom small dog breeds. The associates are knowledgeable about dogs and how to properly care for them. I have done a lot of reading since becoming a shih tzu owner and the staff member took me by surprised at how much she knew about shih tzus. She impressed me. She also took the time to talk with me before Sammy's appointment to get a thorough understanding of what cut I wanted, what shampoo/conditioning treatment Sammy needed, etc. (Shih tzu can have sensitive skin and their skin can dry out. Owners and Groomers have to take care.) Not only did she already know all of this, but she helped me select what exactly I wanted. The best part was it didn't cost me anything extra. Since it was his first visit, they even gave Sammy, a complimentary blueberry facial. My kids thought that was the cutest and funniest thing they ever heard. They were sold. They love this groomer. I had initially expressed my displeasure with past groomers who had shaved her hair to address knots. (Not matting, just knots) Well, this time my request was totally ignored. The hair on her ears had been cut super short, and when I got her home, I discovered all the hair on the front of her neck was shaven to the skin. I was incensed and never went back. The groomer I have now has NEVER shaved her hair to address knots. She is consistent with the way she cuts her hair, and my dog always comes out looking adorable.
