Okay, okay, okay. I don't get the hype. I am a doughnut snob and I don't have a problem admitting it. These are very big and taste just okay to me. I'm Partial To hot and now so you may agree or disagree with my taste. My taste is KK NOT DD and this place reminds me of DD- the taste. Apparently it's a super popular place with lines on the weekends and lots of specialty flavors. I have tried a peppermint bark which I didn't get into that much. If I had to go for one it would be the glazed. After being spoiled by living in a town with the original hot & now assembly line and do convenient to me I just don't have much of a taste for other doughnuts. I believe in quality over quantity so maybe they could focus in smaller portions with more flavor. read more

Good donuts and breakfast sandwiches, but it was jarring to see the workers not wearing masks especially in a place where the food is served in open air... don't love people breathing on my donuts and grabbing them with their bare hands in a COVID-19 world, especially when every patron in the place was masked up. Super-duper doughnutty goodness! The Jupiter Donut Factory reminds me of the old-fashioned independent doughnut shops in New York - from the wonderful smell from the ovens when you walk in the door to the perfect consistency of the donuts. The egg and cheese on a croissant was great, with just enough gooeyness from the yolk, and the coffee was just right. Definitely worth a weekend visit! I've been going to JDF regularly for close to a year now and the quality of the donuts, sandwiches, and coffee keep me coming back despite the long line. While you're standing in the line (which is out the door every morning) you can't help but notice how unmotivated/inefficient the girls working the register are. I realize this can come off as overly critical but it's painful to watch. They have plenty of repeat customers that are willing to wait in the long line. Work as slow as you want, nobody cares but me I guess. read more

OK if you want donuts... These are the best I have ever had. Period. I cater in donuts for work all the time and I have eaten a lot of donuts in a previously un-healthy life. They have the coolest flavors and they are really, really good. My favorite is the cookies and cream donut so far but have not had the red velvet yet. I also had a coffee the last time I was there (yes I have been multiple times) and I am picky about coffee. I don't know what the brew but it is really smooth coffee. They also have breakfast sandwiches which look good too. The only problem is... If you aren't here early they run out of their hot sellers quickly as they usually sell out everyday. But whatever they have on their shelves is always amazing. Like their saying says "you deserve a donut" and so do the people around you. Get a box and feed your friends, office mates or yourself. My hubby and I are OBSESSED with the donuts here! They may be the best donuts anywhere--including NYC, where we're from. Their glazed donut is worth waking up at the ass crack of dawn for, and their red velvet donut is amazing! Hubby is a fan of the jelly's (raspberry and strawberry), and I love the carrot cake muffin. More recently, I tried a cinnamon roll, which was SOOO good! Best part, other than the taste, of course, is that they're very inexpensive! I took a star off because, yes, as most people have mentioned, they're kinda rude in there. However, this being said, to me, it matters less because its carry out. If I was sitting down to eat and had to deal with a rude waitress for the duration of my meal, yes, it would be extremely frustrating, but, being that you're in and out, it's not quite the crisis situation people make it out to be. It's certainly not something that should deter you from trying these delicious goodies! I mean, if you stop and think about it, they open at 6am, which means that they're probably waking up at 3am, if not earlier, to make these donuts, so I'm willing to chalk it up to exhaustion and early morning grouchiness. read more

Always a good place to get donuts. They have interesting flavors and kids love them, The line is usually long but they move it along pretty fast. It is not a place that is conducive to hanging out or staying - they have a couple of tables. I would prefer more of a beverage selection - they do coffees but I am not a coffee drinker. My office loves when I show up with a box or two. I have noticed a couple of slight changes since the ownership changed. Nothing huge, just minor things - like the Holland Cream donuts used to have holes filled with cream, now the dough is in the hole with a gob of cream on top. Really bummed out. I recently moved from Miami to Jupiter. My favorite doughnut shop is The Salty Doughnut. If you haven't tried, you should. My husband loves Jupiter doughnuts since he's been living here 5 plus years. We recently learned we were expecting. So he wanted a gender reveal just between the two of us and he wanted Jupiter donut to do the reveal. We were super excited. So I went and placed the order by giving them the envelope. I told them to do one doughnut filled with the cream. (I've done this for a friend at another doughnut shop. Normally they fill the doughnut and then at the end put a white filling so you can't tell the actual pink or blue filling). Well at Jupiter donut, maybe they don't get the request often or maybe the person was lazy or just no common sense. Don't know. They did multiple donuts which was nice but the minute my husband and I opened the box we saw the gender. So not how we wanted to find out. ... let me say, the young lady that helped me at the register she must've noticed bc when she noticed they had my order wrong ( I only requested one donut and they gave me an additional 5 flavors I didn't ask for) she was extremely nice and kind. I didn't realize she also noticed that they let the gender show. This ruined our gender reveal. We made the best of it. But I regret going there for my gender reveal. Whenever I come back home, I always make it a point to visit this donut shop! Since their donuts are limited and based on who is able to get there first, I always make the drive early in the morning to be able to grab some donuts. They have a wide variety of donut types and flavors and I can always find whatever I'm craving. I personally love the chocolate donut with M&M's because it's rich, but not too rich, and the fudge icing hits the spot. Any donut with red velvet or bananas are also highly recommended! If you aren't in the mood for donuts, they also have other breakfast items available. Keep in mind that it's not as extensive as their donut collection, but they do have some really great breakfast sandwich options that I have personally tried and loved! I really like their bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. It seems so simple, but the one they have there is especially good! The bacon is nice and crispy and the bagels are soft and filling. The only reason why I wouldn't give them 5 stars is because the last time I was there, the cashier was especially rude to me and my family. She seemed to annoyed to help us, despite the fact that it wasn't even packed and we just ordered our regular stuff. Other than that, I've never had a problem there. read more

For being "famous donuts" I want to know compared to what? These were awful. I tried the classic chocolate glazed & butter-crunch. The butter crunch was unbearable. Disgusting. Comparing them to Dunkin' Donuts' butter crunch-- Dunkin winning by a strong lead. Jupiter's butter crunch is a basic donut topped with vanilla frosting? and some kind of butter crunch topping lacking any flavor. Horrible. Avoid. The classic chocolate glazed was ok. How can you go wrong with that? It wasn't anything great but it was edible. The ice coffee was ok, although the girl didn't even fill my cup all the way. No gluten or dairy free options. Also, the shop itself needs a face lift. Random buckets filled the bakery and there is no decorations. Basic and outdated. This shop has the potential to be awesome, but there needs to be a lot of updating and effort put into it. Seems like the girls working the counter are forced to be there because they looked miserable. read more

These are the donuts I remember before the pink and orange chain existed; they are the kind the family run bakeries made. No, don't look for the green & white chain's über-candy air balls. These are the large, some "cakey", some doughy variety of donuts. They were not greasy to the taste or in the box. The toppings were tasty and not sugary unless they were supposed to be. The "honey dips" had a perfect light coating of glaze. I've never seen cream cheese toppings before but they were glorious--like a pumpkin roll in a donut shape. We were visiting relatives and had these donuts for the first time after passing by this place for years. Assuredly, the donuts of this quaint, blink-and-you-miss-it place do not taste like the chain stores ones. You may not prefer them, but do try them and see. read more
