First off let me say that the guy who I spoke to was very nice. Never had any problems with…read morecourtesy. However, service or lack thereof was terrible. The first date I hired them for I had to reschedule because my shed didn't get delivered when it said it was supposed to be. I gave them 4 days noticed once it didn't arrive. So we rescheduled for the next week. Then, after hiring them to assemble a shed I bought from Lowe's they contacted me the day before installation and said that they didn't include the roofing. I really needed the shed built so I said ok even though I was also planning to have the roof done with it. Then later that same night (after 8pm) they texted me to let me know that not all of their guys could come out the next day to assemble and that he could still come out but that it would need to be done over 2 Saturdays. I have a disabled husband and dogs that make it difficult to have to have our yard unavailable for 2 Saturdays. So I said that I prefer they just come the next Saturday to be done in one day. He didn't give me a reason as to why his guys were unavailable either. So the next Saturday they come out at 7am as they had said. I had to wake up really early to make sure our dogs got time to use the yard which is difficult with my condition. They worked until 9am or so unwrapping the shed and laying out all the pieces and then ask to speak with me. The guy said that their coworker who has the nail gun was on vacation and that they couldn't do the job. What? You drove all the way out here, unwrap the crate and only now realize you don't have the proper tools? They said they tried to rent one from Home Depot but they were all gone. If that's the case you should buy a new one. When you say you are going to do a job then you should do it. Plus, it was forecast to rain in the next week so now all the wood was going to get wet. They already had canceled on me once and now they were canceling again? He said they could come out the next Saturday but at this point I wasn't confident they would. So I hired someone else who not only arrived and completed the project but was also willing to install the roofing. Canceling on me twice with less than 24 hours notice is unacceptable. Also, if you unwrap something and leave it out in the rain that is also unacceptable. Some of the wood was warped after and the new guy I hired had a difficult time with some of the pieces. I cannot recommend this company at all. My time is worth a lot and they wasted 2 weeks of it.

I got the 12' x 14' Grand Gazebo Yardistry from Costco. I decided to get some quotes for getting…read morethis assembled and JD Assembly came through quickly and provided a reasonable quote compared with the others. After just 2-3 texts, the owner came with 3 other guys scheduled for a Saturday at 6:30 AM. All of them showed up a bit earlier than that and they were out of my house by 10:45 AM. After reading that it could take a couple hours over the span of 3 days to assemble with 1-2 people, I was definitely surprised they got this done in so little time. One of the reasons I went with them is because it seems they've done so many of these models before (based on other reviewers' photos) so it was more reassuring for me to go with these guys. As you can see from my pictures, my gazebo turned out amazing. I even had an old torn up gazebo in place of that, and they were nice enough to help me tear it down. After the new gazebo was up, they cleaned up the backyard, organized the cardboard boxes for me to toss, and even placed my old gazebo to the side in a nice pile so it's easy for me to clean up after. JD Assembly is reliable, professional, and great to work with. Really glad I went with them!

We've worked with Carlos for over five years, and it's always a good day when he shows up for a new…read moreproject. He's touched nearly every corner of the house. Baseboards throughout, done clean and precise. Forty year old doors, sanded and painted until they feel fresh and contemporary again. A dated mailbox, swapped for something modern that actually fits the home. He remodeled our family room, including the fireplace and paint, and transformed our guest room with a smart closet expansion. He also retrofitted windows in several rooms, which made a noticeable difference right away. What stands out most is how much he cares. He shows up, figures things out, and leaves everything better than he found it. Reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely skilled. We trust him fully and always look forward to the next project.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with this handyman was…read moredisappointing from start to finish. Our first correspondence began in January, and although he was unable to accommodate us until March, we were understanding and willing to wait. Initially, he quoted us for three separate projects. While the pricing seemed high, we still decided to move forward and schedule the work. One of the projects involved plumbing concerns, which became more urgent, so we decided to have our regular plumber handle that portion separately. I reached back out to revise the scope of work down to only two projects. Surprisingly, the updated quote for two projects ended up being more expensive than the original quote for all three. When I questioned the pricing, I was told the original pricing was only lower because the work had been "bundled." A few days before the scheduled appointment, I asked whether it would be possible to push the work back by one day due to a busy client schedule at our business. He declined and instead suggested an entirely different date that worked better for him, which delayed the project even further from the original timeline. We agreed in an effort to remain flexible. He later requested a deposit, which was understandable. However, because this was for our business, I requested a detailed written quote and W-9 form so our accounting department could properly process payment. Despite multiple requests, he was unable to provide the documentation needed, and communication became increasingly delayed and inconsistent. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward and decided to cancel the project. His response afterward was extremely unprofessional, to the point where I ultimately blocked further communication. We ended up hiring another handyman who completed the same work professionally and for nearly 50% less than his quoted pricing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this handyman to other business owners looking for professionalism, transparency, and reliable communication.
