I booked online a few weeks in advance and selected first available for manicurist. After checking in I was asked to wash my hands and then pick out a color. I had a general idea of what color I wanted but wouldn't have found the perfect shade without help from the front desk worker - thank you, girl!! I was very surprised to see so many people bring in their own polish. Apparently that's a thing. My appointment was scheduled for 2:30 and they led me to a spot to start soaking at 2:38. Things officially kicked off at 2:45. I really liked who I was paired with, Frida. She was so sweet and made sure I liked how short she cut my nails, asked if the water was hot, etc. just paid attention to details. The massage that I got as part of the spa package was heavenly. Valdemar did my hair and taught me how to style it (which is a miracle because I'm very uncoordinated). He left after doing his time there and I had to move on and find someone else. Fast forward to a few months ago and I got tired of bad haircuts or hair stylists too busy to call you back to schedule. I did a search for Valdemar and found him at Beehive (thank you yelp reviews). Going back to Val after all these years was awesome! He makes you feel like a great friend and he is so talented at managing my hair! He also seems to be able to get me in pretty quickly! Beehive is nothing fancy, but frankly all I care about is looking good when I leave. They also don't push fancy products though they have a small boutique that you can spot for unique items! Overall, I'd suggest not waiting 15 years before you call and set up a hair appt with Val!

I've seen her for both facials and brow waxing, and every experience has been wonderful. She does a great job evaluating my skin, talking through what she's seeing, and making thoughtful recommendations for my skincare routine without making it feel overwhelming or like I need to completely change everything I'm doing. The facials are incredibly relaxing, but I also feel like I'm getting real results from them. Lately, I've had multiple people comment on how good my skin looks, which is probably the best compliment I could give! She also did an amazing job with my brows. They looked polished and natural, and exactly how I wanted them to look for my wedding. Cheyenne is knowledgeable, kind, and makes the whole experience feel comfortable and personalized. They all seem to get along but also treat their customers like family - in a good way! I love that their products are all natural and organic. I had had a bad experience previously with another stylist who razored my ends to hell, and Sarah said that we would work together to get my hair back to where it should be. And my cut was exactly what I wanted even though I had to go a bit shorter than I would have liked (to get rid of the bad razoring). Sarah and I talked through everything to try to determine what was best for me and my hair - I was a little nervous seeing someone new, but she was very patient with me and took the time that was necessary to make sure I was happy with everything. The brand of hair products that SF carries is amazing. Similar to Aveda, in that they're natural and mostly organic, but they do so much more for my hair than Aveda ever could (and one of the shampoo/conditioner types smells like Thin Mints. THIN MINTS, people). I should probably mention that everyone at SF is super friendly, and that I've always had good interactions with everyone at the salon. I'm glad I made the switch!
